Episode 4/24: "Pranks for Nothing"
I just checked with Zap2It.com, and a new episode of Foster's will air on April 24th at 8:30 PM ET/PT titled "Pranks for Nothing." According to the site, it says that a bug infestation hits the home, and Mr. Herriman moved the friends to a hotel for the night. (And yes, mods and Sparky, it is already up on that site. I'm sure TVGuide.com has it listed too.)
|
Wait. Isn't next new episode supposed to be next week under the title of 'Race for Your Life'? :terrconf:

Quite right. CN's schedule doesn't even show Foster's at all next Thursday.
|
But is it going to have Paris Hilton and Hercule Poirot?
|
In answers to those questions:
1. That new "Ben 10 Alien Force" debuts Thursday (4/17). 2. "Race for Your Life" airs May 29th, with a online vote starting May 19th. 3. I doubt a Paris Hilton and Hercule Poirot lookalike will appear in this episode. |
No new Foster's next week? That's a relief for me. I'll be ushering next Thursday and Friday.
|
Goody, two weeks isn't long to wait at all. A bug infestation, eh? And then a hotel stay. Sounds fun! Here's the synopsis from TVGuide

Bet I know who gets stuck doing the cleanup. :frankiemad: |
I can foresee some pretty good Keith Moon/Spinal Tap parodies here, too!
Perhaps we'll get to see some more of Wilt's prankster side as well, like we got a taste of in "Nightmare On Wilson Way", complete with that "evil" grin for effect. pitbulllady |
BLOO! Why did you open that second secret door?! :frankiemad:

Well, I most certainly hope that Eduardo, Wilt, Coco, Madame Foster, and Frankie all get their fair share of screen time. :) I was a little irked that Eduardo didn't get even a measly second of screen time in Mondo Coco. :edmad:
|
Now this sounds like one fun premise for an episode! I can't wait for this one.
|
Aww yeah...I saw the AD, looks reeeeaaaaallly good....
"This is gonna be awesome!" -Bloo Excuse me, AWSUM. |
Yeah, I saw the ad for it too, it appears to be full of laughs. Literally. 8D
There also appears to be two new "background" friends entering the scene. And they're nearly identical except for some symbols on their chests. They somehow reminded me of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum from Alice in Wonderland. And you can clearly see they're at a hotel. Looks like fun, I can hardly wait! :slybendy: |
Hey, for those who saw the ad, can any of you tell me what happened in the commercial word-for-word, and who appeared in the scenes? I'm just hoping the entire Foster's six- Mac, Bloo, Wilt, Coco, Eduardo, and Frankie- are all in the episode. Because if the whole gang isn't there, I won't be happy. :edmad:

None of the humans are in the ad, although most certainly either Frankie or Madame F will be the ones to check them into the hotel. All the friends were though. Even some of the background ones like Clam Bake, Bloppy Pants, Cy, and Hootin' Andy (and others, but I didn't have much chance to look at all the faces). So, at least all the friends will be in it. I'm sure a few (if not all) of the humans will be in it too, the ad just didn't show them. :) Edit: Oh, I didn't see Mr. H either. But he might still be in the episode. |

This one's starting to sound like it will be rather chaotic and quite a riot. ;D |
This sounds like it's going to be absolute fun. I can't wait!

It is chatroom time for meeeeeee. :D
|
It's on right now!
Are those Fred and George's imaginary friends? |
This is great so far. Bloo on a sugar high was gold. I kept waiting for him to go all Cornholio on us.
|
Well who'd thought...
that Mac wouldn't even in this episode, or that Coco was the motherload of all pranksters? |
Ooooooooooh, BURN!! XDD
Totally didn't see that ending coming. Who knew HE had it in him? :D Kinda saw the fake Herriman thing coming, though. And kinda expected a lot more in a "Prank War" thing...=P |
OH WILT YOU SNEAKY LITTLE... |
Kind of a letdown for me, in several ways. Despite a promising start it felt like it was all downhill after the first commercial break. Just wasn't as funny as I'd hoped. I'll give it a C.
|
Same here... a bit disappointed. I'll refrain from saying anything negative, though.
|
Wow! I can't believe you guys! I thought it was one of the best episodes in the history of Foster's!
Mac wasn't even in this episode? It still turned out good, but this is the first time that's ever happened! I think Wilt was doing ALL the pranks the whole time, not just the last one. Really good. |
OK I'll try to explain objectively why I didn't enjoy this episode so much:
1. Honestly, it was too predictable. After the first prank "backfires," it was obvious what was going to happen. While I didn't anticipate Mr. Herriman answering Room 212's door, I knew right away it was a fake. I was thinking it was a cardboard cutout of Mr. H, so points for throwing the two new IFs in a Herry costume instead. 2. It lacked the Foster's touch. Replace Bloo with "Sylvester", Coco/Ed/Wilt with "Tweety", Herry with "Grandma", and take out the Foster's Bus, and you have pretty much an acceptable Looney Tunes plotline. Coco even only used her eggs once, from what I remember. And since when does Bloo carry $200+ in his pockets to pay for 80 pizzas?! 3. It's only fair that Bloo gets the short end of the stick every now and then, but the new IFs really weren't too funny. I kinda felt bad for them being all tied up. 4. Fortunately, there was a good ending. The best part of the episode was easily the last 30 seconds or so. The whoopie bag and Sly Wilt, I wasn't expecting at all. |
I thought it was a
cutout , too.Until I saw Bloo pull at his shirt and the fact that he was 3D and fell out of the room But I like the new IFs alright. |
Man, predictable or not(and anyone who's seen "Beavis and Butthead" could probably predict most of what those two guys with the "F's" on 'em would do), this was STILL one of the funniest episodes I've seen in a long time! Maybe it was just because Bloo has had it coming to him for so long, that it just plain FELT GOOD to see someone finally one-up the little booger! Those two slacker/stoner dudes were funny as heck, especially if you've ever actually known people who are just THAT stupid, for real!
"Hey, dude, this isn't the bathroom." "Oh, yeah...it's like, the gift shop!" And, while I did have my suspicions that it wasn't Coco who was behind the "inflict Karma on Bloo" plot, I have to say that there have been few scenes, in any tv show or movie, that gave me as much pleasure as that last scene as the bus drove away from the hotel, as that totally, wonderfully EVIIILLLLL grin slowly spread across that face! As we say down here in South Cakalacky, "Don't MESS with Chahlllston!" I'll be dreaming about that grin all night! And, was I seeing this right, or was Wilt driving the bus on the way home? pitbulllady |
Question: Who did Flik and Flak? Their names were derived from the old comedy ice skating team "Frick and Frack". For those of us who remember Shipstad and Johnston's Ice Follies before Feld Entertainment of Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus fame bought them, and made it a Disney production, they were funny guys.
|
Man, I can't believe I missed this episode! When is it on again?
|
Next Friday (May 2nd) at 10:30 PM ET/PT and May 4th at 7 PM ET/PT.

No, he wasn't. In the scene just before the camera closes on Wilt, Frankie is clearly seen in the driver's seat. |

I enjoyed this episode. Loved the Beavis and Butthead references centering around our two mental midget IF's. It was definitely a battle of wits between the fab four.
