Last Game You Played?

Just wondering of who's been playing what lately you know....

Last one I recall playing was John Woo's Stranglehold on the Xbox 360.

I have to say, it does get a bit hard at times, especially the boss battles....of course....but overall, it's a rather good game indeed.

Zeitgheist 10-21-2007 02:57 PM

LoZ: Phantom Hour Glass

Last game I re-played? Well, I just re-finished Happy Cooking for the fourth time (I have an obsession with completing games at 100% and I'm 96% with this one  woo-hoo!)

Bloonan 10-21-2007 03:24 PM

Yesterday I played Sonic Adventure DX for hours, and beat 2 storylines (E102-"y" and Tails).

Cassini90125 10-21-2007 04:10 PM

The Sims 2 (yeah, big surprise), on my old system, which is holding up remarkably well. Last night I found out, much to my horror, that the Nanny can autonomously abandon her post and leave the kids home alone, which means a visit from the Social Worker, who takes away the kids. Not fair to the poor working parents. :(

WiltFan 10-21-2007 04:11 PM

Super Mario All-Stars for SNES. I love how you can choose from a small variety of Mario games to play. Plus it's nice to see the classic 8-bit NES games updated into 16-bit SNES games. :)

Diamond Duchess 10-21-2007 04:12 PM

A classic, Super Mario World. It still holds up quite well after all these years, and it's very fun to play. Right now I'm trying to get all the Yoshi coins since I already beat the game and all the levels.

some guy you dont know 10-21-2007 04:14 PM

i like this topic idea. just sayin.

oh yeah and also guitar hero 2, a personal favorite. also

Spoiler Below
cheat code! use blue, yellow, orange, red, orange, and then yellow and red until it says everythings unlocked. works for me.

Medieval II Total War. A great game with a deep and engaging military/political system.

I'm intrigued. Who makes it, and what are the system requirements?

emperor26 10-21-2007 04:55 PM

Last time I played a game was the underrated Capacom game Shadow of Rome.

some parts of the game were tough, but for the most, it was a fun game to play.

Thanks.

I mean, if they have shows and movies, why not games?

Subzeroace 10-21-2007 05:07 PM

Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die

Although I have been drooling over screenies of Brütal Legend :D

Nathander 10-21-2007 07:19 PM

Dragon Warrior III for the NES. Great old RPG, but I also have to admit that I've been on a Dragon Warrior/Quest kick lately.

frankie_fan 10-21-2007 07:22 PM

Lego Star Wars II on Xbox

A great game, with funny cutscenes. I'm in the process of getting 100%. So far, I'm half way.

montitech 10-21-2007 08:55 PM

Last week I played Sam and Max Season 1 (all six episodes)

and daily I play a few rounds of Spider (win ratio 35% on medium)

Moslty I been playing "Ghost Hunter" this month,

I also been looking for My Sam N Max Hit the road CD, I know it is with the manual and I had it out last winter, but I do not know where it is now. the CD version of hit the road had full voice and music just like the new episodes.

I know! XD Brütal Legend looks kick ass!" but in all honesty, I'm not interested in the graphics at all... I mean, it's a Tim Schafer + Double Fne productions game! Psychonauts became my favorite game of ALL freakin' time because of its orinality and story! And now there's another game coming with the same production team... but featuring the voice talents of Jack Black, Judas Priest, Motörhead and DIO!? I'm drooling in thought

Subbeh has a new BFF XD

I like the graphics, but graphics have never been most important to me (I'm a story girl ;D ) I just love the character design the guys at Double Fine put out XD It's like this awesome Tim Burton-ish stuff.

Tim S and Tim B should get together and make a movie of one of Tim S's games. Too bad that Grim Fandango movie rumor was proved false D=

Tim Schafer is a god 8-)

Oh BTW, The Fire Starters/Levetatiors need to make a cameo in Brütal Legend!

Oh and uh... To keep this on topic... I played CheeseQuest yesterday >> I found some 3D glasses so I wanted to try it out XD

Medikor 10-22-2007 12:40 PM

Star Fox on the SNES.:D

Oh yes, the character designs are delicious-o <3 I loved how Sasha Nein looked and of course Manny. Grim Fandango was effing amazing and I hope the script will be as fun and fresh as Tim Schafer games always tend to be

Tim Burton + Tim Schafer would be an awesomeness overload, causing the apocalypse most likely... but who cares! XD We all want to see it happen! (not the apocalypse, but, you get what I'm saying)

I love Agent Nein :3 He's my fav character, him and Crispin! Although voice wise, I love Raz! (Yaaaaay Richard Horvitz!) PN's voice cast is amazing as a whole though!

I'm wearing my super Whispering Rock shirt I got from the DF store today ^^ It's the same one that Jack Black wore ^^

I'm thinking one of us should make a Psychonauts thread so we don't take this one over x.x

He's my favorite too <3 I loved Sasha Nein and Boyd XD And yeah, Richard owned. Sometimes it really sounded like he was just saying stuff into the microphone and Tim said "We'll use that one!", like in Velvetopia (Edgar Teglee), when you're in the underground bathroom facilities, Raz goes: "This reminds me of college... uh, which is weird, since I'm only ten." XDD

man, I so want Psychonauts merchandise :( Currently I'm eying the Psychonauts signed PS2 PAL version with Tim Schafer's autograph (honestly, the humor of the product description makes me want it more and more every second)

"Signed by Tim Schafer
If you purchase this product, you agree to allow us to break the cellophane wrapping, and then do to with that cellophane wrapping whatever we want, including just letting it sit on the floor for a week."

A Psychonauts thread you say? XD ... *procastinates*

[on topic]

Playing Sinistar, the old Arcade Game XD ...it truly scares me...

Xroc88 10-22-2007 05:44 PM

Painkiller and Battle out of hell. Great game indeed and you don't need a powerful computer either to play it.

Crash-N-Cortex 10-22-2007 08:06 PM

Pokemon Diamond on my Nintendo DS. I'm been training my special Shelgon, speedy Starmie, and hard-hitter Gallade and I've EV training them. I might challenge all of your guys to a battle. I just need a friend code.

taranchula 10-22-2007 08:21 PM

Bleach: The Blades of Fate, on the Nintendo DS.

Anyone who is a fan of the anime/manga or just a fan of fighting games in general needs to pick up this sucker post haste. As it is one of the best hand held brawlers to have come in North America out in the last ten years.

A good anime licensed game? Hurrah! ;)

Shelltoon 10-22-2007 11:29 PM

The last game I played was Portal. You'll never look at puzzle games the same after playing it.

Of course unlike most anime licensed games on the market Bleach: BOF has the distinction of being made by Treasure. Who also made the equally as awesome Astro Boy: The Omega Factor for the Game Boy Advance. So they know how to make a quality licensed game for sure.

TB 10-23-2007 08:08 AM

Oh boy, people who play video games, and good games too!

Last game..last game..hrmm. Last one beat or just last one in general? 'Cause I think the last game I beat was Resident Evil 4 on the Wii. By the way, I highly recommend it on the Wii specifically, it just plays so much smoother aiming with the wiimote.

Last games I've played recently, now that's sporadic. Super Metroid and Prime 3 with a dash of Pokemon Diamond thrown in. Aside from that just my usual MMO antics in Final Fantasy XI and Everquest 2. :D

Oh dear, a meta player? We'll have to exchange codes. ;) Do you have Battle Revolution as well by chance?

Invader Bloo 10-23-2007 02:24 PM

Star Wars: Battlefront

Medikor 10-23-2007 03:06 PM

I just finished a quick session of Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage for the SNES. It's still one of the best Spidey games yet!:D

"Objection!"

The above link will provide a none too subtle clue as to the last game I have played. 8D

Medikor 10-24-2007 04:31 PM

Someday I'll get to playing the Phoenix Write games. But I am looking forward to Capcom's Harvey Bird-man Attorney at Law games that are coming out in November.:D

some guy you dont know 10-24-2007 06:41 PM

guitar hero 2, again. but im starting to get the hang of that orange note, so now i can do hard mode. hooray

Zeitgheist 10-24-2007 07:11 PM

Phoenix Wright are so effing awesome <3 They rank my top 3 list (alongside Psychonauts and Sonic 2)

I just wish the side effects weren't so prominent. Noone will really like how you object to everything they say, or try to cross examine them on the slightest thing XD (unless of course it's a fellow PW player ;D)

Chaos Wielder 10-24-2007 07:31 PM

Oh, videogames...how I love thee! XP

Anyway, I played a bit of Devil May Cry a few days ago. Awesome game.

Been playing some Sims 2: Stranded

When is Sims 3 coming? Sims 2 and it's million variations are getting similar to how they released Street Fighter II ::)

Mayor Adam West 10-26-2007 09:17 PM

What's The Sims 2: Stranded like?

Is it any good?
