Bloo was on South Park

There was an episode called "Imagination Land", and it had characters such as Ronald McDonald and Astro Boy in the background. Theres a shot of him in the background when that guy is talking to Butters, but he's really damaged up. Hes a little shorter too, and someone said they saw Jackie Khones as well, but it was really brief. Can anyone get a screen cap of them?

Sparky 10-17-2007 09:43 PM

This site says they'll have the ep (presumably for download) tomorrow.

cartman414 10-17-2007 10:18 PM

Not sure if that was Bloo. I think I spotted a couple of Viking helmet type horns on his head.

I don't think Bloo was wearing a hat.

He wasn't. I spotted them growing out of his head.

lol I love Cameos... I saw several Foster's characters in the episode "Billy and Mandy Moons The Moon" from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (plus another ton of cameos from other shows like EEnE, KND, My Gympartner's a Monkey et.c)

Gladys, Harold, Bloo, Mac, Dexter, Numbuh 2, Ed... :bloosmirk:

Holy cow... There's just something about Bloo on an episode of South Park that seems so... odd and/or wring at the same time. Maybe it's because of the highly mature content of the show?

Man, it's weird-- I was talking to a kid at school today and he told me about this episode. Of course, he wasn't a Foster's fan. (Poor deprived soul...)

I'm watching it. There seems to be several blue ghost-shaped characters - but they sure don't look like Bloo Q. Kazoo to me. The one I think in question (@ 17:46) is clearly furry, has horns, and (I think) sharp teeth.

...too sliky smooth, too long toenail, too many eyes, not enough eyes, too thickly outlined...

(I do see in the same shot the character who my kids call "Eduardo" when reading Where The Wild Things Are - even though we've read that book 100 times before ever seeing Foster's Home...)

I could have sworn that I saw Bloo, but if everybody else believes that he wasn’t in there, then oh well. It’s a parody; it’s not going to be a carbon copy, especially since he was just an insignificant background character in the episode. I don’t recall seeing horns or anything, but I guess it doesn’t really matter.

Robert 10-19-2007 01:45 PM

You guys do know that this cameo wasn't the kind where Craig McCracken gave permission, right? Because Drawn Together had a cameo of Bubbles and it wasn't like a joint effort, the Drawn Together people simply put a Bubbles look alike on their show. In my mind, they should get in trouble because she looked like the real deal but I guess they used "Fair Use" or something.

fosters home fan 10-19-2007 04:12 PM

hmm, it looks kind of like one of those Bloo clones to me. :P 8D

Soupaflyyy 10-19-2007 09:21 PM

I totally noticed that little character, too! But I don't think he was supposed to be Bloo. Naturally, the whole Imaginationland thing got me thinking of Foster's while I was watching the episode, so really I think I was just seeing what I wanted to see. I watched the ep again on the internet, and sadly it doesn't look so much like him when you have the power to pause.

Woulda been neat, though....

Wendi 10-19-2007 10:08 PM

I saw him! I didnt see the whole horns thing, where are you guys getting that from?

Kale 10-19-2007 11:21 PM

I've managed to grab a screenshot of this for you guys. It does look suspiciously like Bloo (except the horns obvo :P)

One Radical Dude 10-19-2007 11:54 PM

Thanks for the image. It kinda does look a bit like Bloo, however, I'm not sure that it was supposed to be like him. The character on the upper left corner looks quite a bit like Totoro (from My Neighbor Totoro, for those that are familiar with Hayao Miyazaki films). Then again, I didn't see the South Park episode, so *shrugs*. :P

Kale 10-20-2007 01:32 AM

Yeh, ORD, it was Totoro. :)

cartman414 10-20-2007 09:03 AM

Edit: Ohhhhhhhhh, I thought you were referring to the character that was thought to be Bloo. I see the Totoro lookalike now that I paid more attention.

taranchula 10-20-2007 09:55 AM

I found a site that has some higher quality pictures of all the animated characters that cameoed in the SP episode.

http://www.spscriptorium.com/Season11/E1110guests.htm

The horned Bloo looking thing in some of the pictures, is either a similar looking character from another source that I can't seem to recognize.

Or

It's Matt and Trey's rendering of Bloo, changed just enough so they don't have to face the wrath of CN's legal team.

Wendi 10-20-2007 11:18 AM

Ohh! I see the horns now. LOL I though you guys saw a different bloo thing. Haha

cartman414 10-20-2007 12:23 PM

On the other hand, in the Powerpuff Girls episode "Imaginary Fiend", there was a pretty direct South Park reference when Blossom came out of a pile of clothes she had been tossed into, dressed up like Cartman for a moment. She even said "seriously"!

Actually what you should have said was "for those that are not familiar with Mayao Miyazaki films" fans would not need a reminder of where it came from.

antgirl1 10-20-2007 06:33 PM

I think Bloo was in the last pic of that Link ORD showed us. The horn thing might just be something lodged into his head. 8D

ptps 10-20-2007 07:07 PM

I can't tell from the quality I'm watching, but it does look like Bloo is on it at 8:18 - 20.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...f/6574fe9c.jpg

From what I can make out, there's a Bloo-colored, Bloo-shaped thing there. Prolly drinking out of something he's holding. And the white dots are exactly where Bloo's eyes would have been. The episode also does mention, several times, about using the "imagination". Considering Bloo is an imaginary Friend, I highly doubt they'd pass up the chance to insert Bloo as a cameo/spoof. Can't confirm it though since I'm watching low-qual. :/

edit: oops, never mind. Clearer image here, picture 4.

fosters home fan 10-20-2007 08:50 PM

I've said it before.... It's one of Bloo's BROTHERS!!!!! 8D8D:D:p

Nyo 10-21-2007 06:56 AM

FHF has a good point; those "Bloo"s don't even look like Bloo. They could be generic ghost-lookin' characters. :P

Or as T said:

fosters-fan 10-21-2007 06:22 PM

If you ask me, the character in the bed sheet bared a close resemblance to Bloo, except he wasn't colored blue. :-/

Diamond Duchess 10-22-2007 01:05 PM

From all the "Bloo" sightings I've seen that are up here, I think this could go either way. That thing could have been a tribute to Bloo as a differing version of him, or it could have been a random thing that just happened to look like Bloo.

My bets, however, are leaning on my second guess. The character does look like Bloo, but it's furry and has Ed's horns for some reason. Did the "Bloo" thing speak or was it silent? I haven't seen the episode and I thought this could be another way to tell if it were Bloo or not. If it sounds like him, then it may be a hint about this.

On another note, that thing is adorable.

Zeitgheist 10-22-2007 04:41 PM

I think it's quite obvious it's a tribute to Bloo... I mean, the whole episode is called Imagination Land, and somehow I think Matt and Trey enjoy Bloo's humor (because I do belive they watch the show, animators are pretty omnivorous)

KazooBloo 12-16-2016 03:56 PM

Looks close but not him.
