Videogames From Japan That You Really Want To Try Out

Mother/ Earthbound series-I don't understand why the American division of Nintendo refuse to have this series out, even though they try to distribute the first game for the NES and release Earthbound (Mother 2) for the SNES. I heard so many good things about it, and I just hope that they will eventually change their mind and release the series here.

Capcom x Namco-Another crossover game, similar to Kingdom Hearts, and one I would have been really interested in.

Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix! I want the extra cut scenes, bosses and the RE:COM disk!

Gimme Square-Enix?

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Time and Darkness expedition.

Time, more specifically! You can get Celebi in Time version!

Any of the Gundam Side Story games on the Sega Saturn. Seriously, the Dreamcast Side Story game was awesome!

For me it would have to be Castlevania: Rondo of Blood for the PC Engine. I would also love to see the earlier Fire Emblem games for myself.

For anyone that is lucky or crazy enough to have laid their hands on a PSP, then they can experience that very game some time this fall. Along with a remake version of Rondo and the super awesome sequel and for my money still one of the best games of the series "Symphony Of The Night" in one easy take anywhere package.

Not sure if you remember Super Mario Bros All Stars on SNES. They had that on there as Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels.

I am both lucky and crazy, and indeed have a PSP and have the Rondo of Blood remake reserved. It thankfully comes with Symphony of the Night as well, though you have to accomplish certain goals in Rondo of Blood in order to unlock it. :P

As for me, I'd love to get my stinking mitts on Xenosaga I+II for the DS. I want that game. I wants it SOO bad.

I have an M3 for my DS and a CF card so I download all the games I want to play and insert it with my cardreader... My PS2 is also chipped so I download everything for that one too. :P I'm a gamer. I just finished Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass to DS a few days ago. It took about 12 hours

Shelltoon 10-10-2007 12:38 AM

Sheesh Zeitgheist, can't you just buy the games?

I would KILL to be able to play Super Robot Wars 4 back on the SNES... IN ENGLISH. I want to know what the story is, because in my opinion, that SRW has an excellent mecha collection.

Wish I could read and understand japanese, so I could play "Policenauts", a great gem by Hideo Kojima that never made it over here.

WELL... the thing is I live in Sweden, so games hit the US months before they come here to Europe. But if I like the games (like the Phoenix Wright series) I will absolutely buy them when they get here. I will buy Zelda: Phantom Hourglass when it comes to Europe, hoping they're releasing it here with a Zelda stylus like they did on the release in the US

I do play a lot of Japanese games though, since I finished my Japanese studies 4 years ago... so I'm pretty good at reading and understanding... and importing the games on lik-sang would be such a hassle since I don't even own a credit card. Plus, I want to play EVERYTHING... from Cooking Mama to Metroid Prime: Hunters, and I can't actually buy it ALL, it would cost a fortune. So I simply download and see what's worth buying in the end, and what's not

Now available on the Wii Virtual Console Shop. At least in America and Japan. (It was a limited time download in the PAL regions.)

One purportedly awesome game that didn't make it here was Venus and Braves, a Namco PS2 RPG.
