I can't log in!

Well I can Log in but when the game screen starts it's just white for a long time!Anyone else having this problem????:terrconf:

Carlaz 09-22-2007 08:30 AM

I haven't tried today, but it took a long time to load on Friday.

Vicks 09-22-2007 10:51 PM

It has taken a long time to load for months now. For me, I basically have to have nothing running in the background. So I make sure I have a long article or e-mail open and read it while it's loading, or I walk off and wait for the music to start.

Even after I hear the music it takes a while. It just stays at the purple clock or a plain purple screen for a while and then after 2 minutes or more I finally hear Mr. Herriman's voice "Here is your list..." When I eventually see him, then I know it's safe to touch the computer and play the game. Otherwise it just freezes and has an error and I have to start over.

It sucks and is a pain in the butt, but, hey, the game is almost over, so I can live through it another couple months or more. ::)

I don't recall having a plain white screen, unless I was moving between windows and it takes a while for the window contents to 'reappear.'

Oh No Bloo 09-23-2007 04:56 AM

What do you mean "the game is almost over"?

Divelucaya 09-23-2007 05:24 AM

As they have been updating (i.e., adding more places to visit) the lag time has gotten progressively worse and no matter what is running in the background your likely to be running at 100% CPU usage with most of it being used by your browser (which of course is where the Flash is running). What you may want to try doing is restarting your computer in safe mode where practically nothing is loaded into memory and then playing the game without starting up any other programs. Make sure you can access the Internet from safe mode; I get the option of starting safe mode with networking which will load the drivers I need to access my cable.

To answer Oh No Bloo; the game has only one more update. I doubt CN will do any more updates to the game; they may leave it around for people to finish all the games and rooms or they may pull the game. I have not seen any commercials lately on CN advertising the game.

They can't end the game! What else am I going to do with my spare time??

Sparky 09-23-2007 02:35 PM

They'll probably expect you to pay to play Fusion Fall. :P

yeh, I am having this issue today. it is due to the shockwave update. I allowed it to install, now it keeps telling me that I need to reboot then after a reboot it tells me I am missing something and it needs to repair.
this went on for several reboots/reinstalls.

thus I next need to try a different user profile in windows and if that does not work, then I will the uninstall/reinstall approch.

The shockwave update has always been difficult to get througjh.

For others having issues when updating Shockwave.
symptom BFAHP after splash screen sits on white box cannot use mouse on the square.

here is the steps to help solve it..
goto Adoby and update Shockwave player.
if it fails or keeps asking you to restart,
then go back to the page to install/update shockwave,
Look at the text on the bottom of the screen,
click on the text " Standalone installer"
download, and run, install
and hope it works.

it fixes the broken shockwave for me.

Uh, I just finished Ulysses and Dante's Inferno back to back so I'm taking a break before I move on to the rest of Dante's work. Don't be rude, and don't talk to me like I'm an idiot.

I do not think the comments were directed to you, but more of a general answer in an attempt to be funny,

By the way nice choices of writen works, I always say it is not worth reading unless it is at least a century old.

They actually extended the game once already. It was supposed to end after the April 2007 Update, but they added the outside and all that goes with it.

To expect CN to add any more to it would be to delude oneself. CN has a terrible track record with their onsite games. It will be interesting to see what happens with this new Fusion Fall. Of course you have to pay in order to play it, so you'd think quality and customer satisfaction are crucial, but still. It fits perfectly into their timing, though, to have BFAHP around until the launch of FF. They will turn all their attention to FF and neglect BFAHP until it's a crumbled mess and then they'll take it off the website a year or two later. 8D

As far as what to do? Who knows. I'm still trying to find a game to dive into after Orbit died years ago. I just haven't seen any that have really struck me. BFAHP was a nice 'break' from 'stuff' and a fun game to play with my kids. I'm really glad we played it, and came to this group. :bloosmirk:

CN ORbit was just shut down last September(06).
I was very disapointed when they updated user interfaces and lost functionality (and accounts), on the last version of orbit I was no longer able to play my Gtoon or minigames toons, like the Superman SuperBlocks.

I did download a bunch of the images out of my browsers cache right before they closed the site.

Thanks you Monty and everyone else.It worked!:bloocross:Now I know it wasn't just my messed up computer.8DI was also sad when they took off Orbit.I really hope they update and carry out BFAHP for a long time. Thanks again!

One Radical Dude 09-27-2007 11:26 AM

I haven't tried logging on, since maybe around early July. I pretty much don't care about the game anymore, especially since my first account got screwed up. Emailing didn't help at all, so I gave up. :P Honestly, I don't foresee the game being extended once again, but I could be wrong.

emperor26 10-16-2007 02:32 PM

For some strange reasons, I'm unable to get back online for the recent updates.

Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing similar problems?
