Do you say quotes from Foster's?

Kind of a random topic, but I was sitting out at the pool with my parents. I had just gone swimming, and my mom had just come out and she made a comment about my wrinked feet. She says "You have wrinkled feet?" and I reply, "No, I have scurvy :cheese:! Kind of a Foster's moment, and we thought it was pretty funny 8D!

So, how about you? Have you had any times where you thought a Foster's quote would just fit perfectly in the sentence you were saying?

Another one I catch myself saying all the time is:
I'm sorry, is that ok?

Everywhere I've been going today, I found myself saying "It's Hot in Topeka!" (Just saw Hot in Topeka last night on YouTube. They never play Squeeze the Day over here!!)

YOU RUIN CHOCOLATE!

Lynnie 07-25-2007 05:38 PM

Hmmm, I really need to think about this a bit. I catch myself saying stuff all the time, but I haven't really taken note of what all I say.

One I say often is "What are you...? No! No, no, no, no no no no no!!"

Another one- "Ow, ow, ow, ow", and also "Itchy, itchy, itchy, itchy itchy itchy itchyitchyitchyitchy AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!"

And ones I've said at least once-

"And I heard you're boring... me!"

"I like fishy crackers! Can I have some fishy crackers?"

"It's hot.... in Topeka!" <--we probably all say that from time to time though, huh? 8D

"Sugar!! Fresh! Sugar!"

"Heh? Well of course I'm alive!"

'Super awesome pen."

"So you finally believe the wolf! How little boy who cried of you!" (to which I got the same response Bloo got- "What??") 8D

"Blahbady Blah blah melarchy!"

"You sandwhich loving gun of a son!"

I'm sure there's more, but I think that'll do for now. :gooblab:

xxxClaire 07-25-2007 06:06 PM

Well I often say "It's hotttt innnn tooooopeeeeekaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" 8D

and I always say "I like cereal!" and "I like chocolate milk!"

Oh, and every time I go to the grocery with my mom, I'll go get a package a fishie crackers and say "Can I have some fishie crackers?" and when she says yes, I say "Yaaayyyy! I like fishie crackers!"

silverbatwing 07-25-2007 06:46 PM

I'm sure everyone does thier "Hot in Topeka" bit (my sister and i do!).

We also do "Aw, come oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!"

and "Everything is hokey pokey"

FailedShapeshifter 07-25-2007 08:47 PM

I'm guilty of "It's Hot in Topeka".........

My favorite though...."He'll change his name to Walt, and try to blend into society." My friends thought I was nuts8D

Ub3rD4n 07-25-2007 10:48 PM

My favourites for random conversation:

"Doooo iiiit!"
and also

"I realsie that now!"

I have to remember to say that to the next person here who eats a sandwich... 8D

pitbulllady 07-29-2007 03:04 PM

I've used "It's Hot in To-PEEEE-KAH" more than once; that phrase has almost become as iconic as "Where's the Beef?" I've also used "You ruin chocolate" for somebody who's just a stick-in-the-mud, no-fun person that I work with.

Pawbah 07-31-2007 11:03 PM

Pretty much anything Cheese has said has been said in my house by me or my brothers.
"I like this game" being the most said.
And also: "I want a cooookie." The way Bloo says it when he is trying to be sarcastic.

Cassini90125 07-31-2007 11:08 PM

I've been known to say "I dislike you with great intensity" and "I like potatoes" upon occasion. I've used other phrases here and there but I can't recall which ones right off.

Medikor 08-01-2007 10:24 AM

Like Cassini, I've used the "I dislike you with great intensity..." line among others from our favorite funny bunny. But my brother and I have used so many quotes from the show it's hard to keep track. I think I used Frankie's "Knock much!?" and Cheese's "Nnnnnnuuuuuuooooooooonnnnnnn!" noise when he wanted the drill from Bloo. other than that though it's hard to remember.

Kzinistzerg 08-06-2007 09:55 AM

Fosters quotes pop into mind on occasion when I accidentally say something similar. Rarely do they get used.

cartman414 08-11-2007 08:00 PM

I say "AZUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!" a lot. I randomly said "I have gingivitis" the other day.

Cassini90125 08-11-2007 08:53 PM

I hope no one thought you were serious. 8D

Pawbah 08-11-2007 11:02 PM

LOL. I just realized I say one all the time. I like to say: "You always say that." In response to things that people do not say all the time. The response that I want is: "No I don't," but people usually just look confused.

Lynnie 08-12-2007 07:32 PM

I remembered some more I didn't include in my list earlier-

"Well that was a collosial waste of time!"

"We cannot waste a single, solid, hairy moment!"

"Ahh, look at that! Beautiful!" <- I actually say that all the time! 8D

One Radical Dude 08-14-2007 12:55 PM

I have a habit of saying "suuuspiiiiiiiciiiiiiious!" :bloocross:, and I occasionally say "come ooooooonnnnnn!!!"

silverbatwing 08-14-2007 06:44 PM

i use a few. my sister and i love to do the "Hot in Topeka" and the "I am Pierre! I put ze ducks in Crystal Pond!" bits. I also do Cheese's "I am a cowboy!" bit if my friends fight.

There are more, but i think that should be it for now. :-[

WiltsAKGirl17 10-19-2007 05:54 PM

I'm particularly fond of saying "I like cereal!" and "I like chocolate milk!" just at random moments to entertain myself. (Not so loud that people think I'm crazier than I already am.)

Lately it seems like I've been saying "Sorry" a lot more than usual, so Wilt tends to pop into my mind. I say sorry a lot in my Home Ec class, especially when I screw something up. Like today, we were making pancakes, and I ended up flipping most of them and taking them out the skillet (cast iron skillets, which is what we were using, ROCKS! To quote Ferris Bueller, if you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up). Some of them turned out gorgeous-- perfectly golden brown, the whole nine yards! Then others, I burned a bit, and when I flipped them over, I'd go, "Sorry."

Great, now I have this image of Wilt in a blue apron (the color of the apron I was wearing today) making pancakes and every time one doesn't come off quite right: "Sorry!" (Not that I'm complaining-- it's a cute image.)

I can also do Goo's line from "Neighbor Pains"-- "Super super smooth and super super fast." :goo:

Mayor Adam West 10-19-2007 05:55 PM

I keep saying "I like potatoes", well, not out loud, but more or less on forums and what not and in my mind too.

Me and my Mom went through the whole "Potatoes" phase. I don't do it anymore.

Zeitgheist 10-21-2007 01:48 AM

It happens that Bloo or Cheese (at least Cheese when I'm talking to a friend who loves him) comes though once in a while... but honsetly, I use cartoon quotes everyday from everything, so it's hard to remember D;

Diamond Duchess 10-21-2007 04:26 PM

I have had "Cheese, go home!!" stuck in my head and mouth for the last two weeks now.

It's great.

Dragonrider1227 10-21-2007 06:47 PM

I find myself going "Oh come OOOOOONNN" a lot 8D

Mayor Adam West 10-21-2007 11:42 PM

Man, now I'm starting to be like Cheese, and have now got "I like chocolate milk" and "I like cereal" in my head now :cheese:

Shelltoon 10-21-2007 11:56 PM

I too am a victim of using quotes from Foster's, and not just one character. They're mostly in my head and to myself when I'm bored out of my skull at work, or stressed out.

BabyCharmander 10-22-2007 11:26 AM

Sometimes I'll say "It's hot in Topeka!" when something's hot, like when I take a sip of coffee and realize it's too hot, or if it's really hot in a room or something.

I also say "Sorry" a lot, but I dunno if that counts 'cuz I've been doing that since before I ever saw this show. :blooxd:

Lynnie 10-22-2007 08:52 PM

Just today I caught myself saying "Turkey Sandwich Coma". 8D

And, I work with pet products, and while at work today I was dealing with a reset in dog toys and I blurted out "Toys!! Nanananananananananananananananah toys!! Nah nah nah nanah, toys! Doodoodoodooo, doodoodoo..doohhhh...." And then I laughed at myself because I do that... 8D

Zeitgheist 10-23-2007 01:01 AM

I just realized one quote that I have never been able to stop saying

Bloo: "Maybe I DO ruin chocolate..."

I don't know why I find it so attractive XD But I love saying it

Haha, this is exactly what I came to post. XD

My boyfriend and I usually have caps lock fake arguments on AIM, and they usually end with one of us shouting "WELL MAYBE YOU RUIN CHOCOLATE!" and the other responding accordingly 8D "Maybe you're right, maybe I do ruin chocolate."

Lynnie 10-23-2007 06:54 PM

Lil'bit of a funny story, today at work, I'm in the office on the computer and one of the girls, who is well known for being goofy and lovable, comes in singing a silly little song that went something like "OOOHH! Lynn is a happy little cheese puff! Just a happy little cheese puff!" I laugh and say "Yes, I'm a happy little cheese puff. Turkey sandwich coma!" She looked at me strangely, and with a little laugh of her own said "Turkey sandwich coma? I like that!" And for the rest of the day, I heard her saying "Turkey sandwich coma" to other people, lol!

I've done something similar to this. My friend Danielle and I were trying to figure out what "insipid" meant in my AP Lit class, so I asked the teahcer. She told me insipid was like a manipulative whining sort of a thing. Automatically I thought of Bloo, turned to Danielle and said, "Have you ever watched Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends?" She said yes, so I told her, "You know the kind of whining Bloo does? That's insipid." She laughed and actually imitated the "Come oooonnn!" line. It was awesome! Now, whenever I hear or use the word insipid, I think of Bloo and go, "Come oooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!"

discosheep 11-03-2007 09:22 AM

YOU RUIN CHOCOLATE! Maybe I DO ruin chocolate
I dislike you with great intensity
Suuuspiiiiiiiciiiiiiious
So you finally believe the wolf! How little boy who cried of you!
Aw, come ooooooooon!
andfound myself in some backwards bizzaro world yet eduardo remains completely unchanged its something like that obviously i change the name

and one time my friend was whispering to me about a boy she fancied and i went for some unknown reason "if we do that we may go to jail" like mac said to coco and she looked at me like i was insane.

everything cheese has ever said

my mum: stop spraying air freshener
me: its cleaning
my mum; no its not
Yes, it is. I'm cleaning the air. Cleaning and freshening

LOL.

I had occasion in a conversation to say "turkey coma" last weekend, although I forget now what the conversation was about. However may I point out that in the actual episode when Bloo *says* "turkey coma" he said it so fast I didn't even catch it. I only learned what he said by reading this forum. So I blame all of you. ;) I don't even consider it a Bloo quote, it's a Never Forgotten quote.

WiltsAKGirl17 11-11-2007 12:23 AM

At the risk of sounding like a total idiot, will someone PLEASE explain "turkey coma sandwich" to me?! I feel stupid...

Sparky 11-11-2007 03:20 PM

It was from Better Off Ed. Bloo was talking about how he would keep Frankie out of the way while they had the paintball tournament; he said he would trick her into eating a hundred (or something) turkey sandwiches, putting her into a "turkey coma". But Madame Foster ended up eating them instead:

http://www.fosters-home.com/screengrabs/5/511-0034.jpg

That may not be precisely correct, but something like that...

Almost. ;) Actually, Bloo was trying to get his roomies to join him in the paintball tournament and trying to encourage them by saying how he thought of "everything". He'd do it before Mac gets out of school, and while Frankie and Herriman were at a Home Improvement seminar. Wilt asks "What about Madame Foster?" and Bloo says "What, do you think I'm stupid? Turkey coma." No one understands what he's talking about, so he explains that he makes 45 turkey sandwiches, Madame Foster eats them and she's out like a light. And then from the credit scene (which I just now saw today), Madame F. wakes up in the middle of the night, and is disappointed that she missed the paintball tournament. 8D

Sparky 11-12-2007 08:55 PM

Okay. I thought I'd remembered him intending the sandwiches for Frankie originally.
