"Good Wilt Hunting" nominated for Emmy
The nominations for the 59th Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and in the Creative Arts division (an untelevised ceremony to be presented on September 8th), the Foster's long-form episode Good Wilt Hunting was nominated for Outstanding Animated Program, More Than One Hour.
See all the nominees in both major animation categories here on the Other Entertainment board. |
NO FREAKING WAY. :D
Whoo hoo!! :yeah::clap::yeah::clap::yeah::clap: Congrats are in order to Craig, Lauren, and the rest of their great team! I'll be tuning in come September.
I KNEW IT! Remember, back when it first aired, I said that this was deserving of an Emmy if anything was! WOOT! Now, let's keep our fingers crossed that it is recognized for the quality of entertainment that it is!

An emmy? I could totally see that happenning. I hope it DOES. The Fosters crew needs appreciation from someone other than us.
OMG!
that is SO SWEET-FRIGGIN-O! -parties- |
Yay! I wouldn't be surprised if the team brought the emmy home this time around. GWH is an outstanding animated program. even though the episode itself is only 44 minutes. Anyway, congrats to Craig and co.
That's excellent. In my opinion, "Good Wilt Hunting" is worthy enough of winning the Emmy for the category. :)
I've never seen GWH, but that's great news.:) From what I've heard about it, it deserves to win.
"Good Wilt Hunting" is the best episode of Foster's that it deserves to win the Emmy!
And the winner is... Camp Lazlo for "Where's Lazlo?".
As Jon Stewart might say, "Whaaaaaaaaaaaa......??" |
Aw Man! GWH deserved it! Ah well, I really liked the Lazlo movie. Although I'm sad for the Foster's gang, I'm happy for the Lazlo gang. They did a good job on their movie, too. :nyah:
GAH! Come on... Craig is OVERDUE for an emmy. Well, congrats to Lazlo, and I'm glad it wasn't some silly Discovery Channel thing that won, which happened last year.
Me thinks this is the appropriate emoticon for such a turn of events: :wiltshock:
Oh well despite what the academy thinks, I still believe that Good Wilt Hunting was the perfect way to cap off what I consider to be one of the best overall seasons in the shows history. And with things going the way they are, it's going to be very soon before Foster's takes home some of those much deserved statuettes. |
Craig actually won two years ago for House of Bloos. It's the rest of the gang who have yet to score any of them golden statuettes.
It's a shame that the series didn't win this one. I figured if Foster's were to not win, I'd choose Lazlo, and I was right. Win or lose, it's still a winner, in my book. ;)

That said, this week's airing of the South Park episode "Timmy 2000" on Comedy Central reminded me of how annoyed I was that Trey Parker and Matt Stone lost at the Oscars to that Phil Collins fluff piece. |
Lazlo is a great show, I'm glad they won <3 I'm a big CL fan

I'm not surprised that "Camp Lazlo" won the Emmy. Camp Lazlo's a cool show, I like Clam. The show does premiere a lot of new episodes during the last few weeks.
Camp Lazlo is a horrible show...
