Fosters theme tune Piano

does anyone know the official notes? I have to work them out myself most of them, and it would be great if i knew the real letters...

Vampyre 06-20-2007 07:38 AM

Sadly, no, I don't. I've been trying to figure it out for about two and a half months now, but I haven't yet got it right, and it's particularly annoying. Sorry I can't be of any help.

antgirl1 06-21-2007 06:33 AM

I actually saw someone playing the Foster's Theme Tune on YouTube...dang that girl was AWESOME.

Fosters4ever 06-21-2007 09:21 AM

Yeah, a funked up remix

I play

c, c (higher) B, b flat, c, g
c, cH, B, bF
c,cH,b,bF,c,g,fF g, d,d ,c
fF,g,d,d

and repeat

-H= note on higher octave
-F = flat note (black key)

I found this other one on youtube, I didn't do it, but the person who did...IS AWESOME. Nuff said.

It's a remix, but it's still cool. (erase space, because the Bloo smilie ruins the link.) :D

Thanks for the links; though the last one didn't work. :P

I already said that you have to ERASE THE SPACE in that link, because otherwise it's ruined by the "8D" smilie. Sorry about that confusion. :P

can anyone find a MIDI version of the song? I love MIDI.
and I'm way too lazy to try and make one myself.

There are links to two versions of the themesong in midi format on my links page; just scroll down, they're under "Stuff By Patrick." (that's forum member Lead Balloon)

thanks for pointing that out!

Speaking of the piano, what style piano is used, not to mention the other instruments? Normally I don't ask that kind of question, but the instrumentation of the theme is just too interesting.

More of the same...

It's sounds odd in some parts, maybe because the person playing it used only one hand, but it's very good.
If you have good eye, you'll know the notes. Hope it helps.

He's (or she) is only using one hand, so that he can show us how to play it, he actually plays with only one hand what you're spposed to do with both, but separetely, so that you can catch up with him. If you play it all together it sounds really good, actually... just like it sounds when he plays it on another video.

I think that's the weirdness of the instrumentation that makes it so cool... To me, it sounds a bit like a upright piano, but I'm not sure.

This is the one song that I can play on an insanely out of tune piano that sounds really good. Of course it sounds good on a tuned piano too...

I got bored and made a slow, almost love-theme-esque version of this a few weeks ago.

I REALLY want the sheet music for this. Although I have the basic

melody down, I can never remember the rest.

So I REALLY want sheet music. Or to write down the music from that really awesome how-to video on YouTube. But I'm a little too lazy to do that. :bloocross:

Honestly, for someone who has been playing piano for eight years, I shouldn't be so lazy...
