I recommend a Wikia is to be built.
 

The character pages on Wikipedia have extended descriptions of each character, thereby making the main characters article 33KB and the secondary characters one 49KB. Goo's section is being ridiculously handled too, because of her number of season 4 appearances. (Then again, her section is shorter than Cheese's. Even though she now appears on the BFAHP ads that show at the end of FHFIF showings as with what happened yesterday afternoon.)

Well, I believe so, if I'm correctly guessing the context of what you said, but I might not be. This is where Wikias can be started. You'd have to use the request form.

Right now, I'm going to try to see if I can get a Wikia started for Nintendo's Wars series and Nectaris.

I can see that. People make wiki for almost everything - bands, web cartoons, star-trek... why not foster's?

I think it's a great idea to start a Foster's Wiki.

I think that (if no one minds... I don't want to steal anyone's idea without their permission), I might start one.

I'm all for that. Quite frankly, I'm displeased with some of the information on that page, ESPECIALLY with Frankie(I don't like the summary writeup about her on the main FHFIF page, because it makes her look like an arrogant, bratty diva who hates the imaginary friends... and named after Frank Black?). I'd alter it myself, but I'm afraid I'll get stung by the "Wikipedians".

And I don't get why Foster's gets shafted while Billy & Mandy has pages for every single character and episode.

What shall we call this Wiki?

Any ideas???

Here's a totally stupid question: WHAT is a "wikia"? How is that different from the article on Foster's which appears on Wikipedia.com, and how will address most of all the huge amount of spam(especially where upcoming episodes are concerned)about the show that gets dumped on Wikipedia?

Go ahead and fix it. Just make sure you explain that your changes truer to Frankie's character (or site your source, like "in the episode ____ ..." etc) and no-one should give you any problems. I wrote a whole chunk of the Wilt bio, and no-one "stung" me :P

I think it's a separate Wikipedia-type thing where all the articles are Foster's related, like the Homestar Runner Wiki: http://www.hrwiki.org/

Wikia's former name is WikiCities. It hosts Wikis. And spam wouldn't be a problem because there would be somebody handling it in a hurry.

Anyway, ch3353-h4xx0rrrr, my idea for a name, admittedly a spin-off of your own, is Wiki's Home For Imaginary Friends.

"Foster's Wiki for Imanginary Friends" is my idea for a name. It sounds like something imanginary friends would look up stuff on. :D

Just to clarify, since I admit I exaggerated out of my frustration...

I would rather see this on the main-page summary of Frankie: "Frankie is the 22-year-old(Though younger looking) granddaughter of Madame Foster, who works as the house's maid. She is usually very kind and friendly, but is also easily stressed out by the strenous nature of her duties, and dislikes being ordered around by Mr. Herriman."

I like this one because it highlights the positive along with the negative.. and after all, Wikipedia is supposed to be NPOV.

I think I'm going to have two or three extra admins, just because it will be easier to keep track of what's been changed and what hasn't.

-A Graphics Coordinator (someone who will make the logo/any graphics we will need as well as keep track of any pictures)

I'll get right on it, how large and complex do you want it to be? I realise that the graphic I did in my signature has sort of a grunge look, which may look out of place in a Wiki. I can make the logo smoother and more professional than that, but I still need to know how big you want it. ;)

Anyway I'm really excited about the Wiki too, it sounds like a lot of work and a total time-consumer but still fun all around. He he he...?

Well, I just proposed the Wiki, and we should know if it is accepted within a week or two.

And rukift, here (http://www.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Impro...hange_the_logo) is where you can find the instructions to making a logo for the Wiki. Go wild- make whatever you think is appropriate for our Wiki.

We CANNOT copy information from Wikipedia, so we've got to start the information from scratch, which means those writers have a lot of work to do (I'll help).

Also, I must add one more job, Episode Coordinator to our list. This person must write the summaries and find the episode titles, airdates, etc. (whatever information is available for the time).

Each one of the main admins including rukift (the GC), Nyo and whoever else we deem Co-Admin, and our EC will get their own page filled with a short bio and information about themselves.

I would like to thank EVERYONE for their support and ideas (I'm not going to take credit for coming up with the idea for a Wiki, for it wasn't mine- I just proposed it and organized it)...

Slight road block- the website says that it might take 12 days (a little more time than I had expected) to approve it because of Wikimania.

But... let's keep planning. And I think I might start writing pages this week in Scratch Pad and then saving them as word documents (cut and pasting is fun...)

Looks like I know what I'll be doing this year!!!

Ok guys, does anyone have a really high-res version of the Foster's logo? The wiki's logo will be based on that, and the ones I've been able to find have always been so grainy and icky. I suppose I could work with a compressed version, but it would just look so much nicer if I didn't have to. ;)
