AYDS diet pill commercial from the early '80s... the product disappeared somewhere around the middle of the decade. Gee, wonder why?

Hah yeah, even after they changed it to SlimAyd due to the scientists giving a name to AIDS, they shot themselves in the foot AGAIN because in parts of Africa, AIDS was nicknamed "the slim disease".

To be honest, I find the Wendy's commercial from the 80's a bit odd.

Many years ago, I remember seeing a spanish-language commercial in which a boy is playing Ocarina of Time, and we see gameplay footage of Link trekking through Kakariko Village. After a few seconds, Link arrives at a treasure chest. He opens it... and it contains a bottle of orange juice(I don't remember the name of the brand), which, as it turns out, is what the commercial is advertising. Suddenly, Link grabs it and drinks it--and keeps drinking and drinking and drinking without stopping, which makes the boy mad because he completely loses control over the game.

I can't find it on YouTube, though :(

all the godaddy.com commericals. i believe most of you that watch the super bowl may know what im talking about. then if you watch the ones that were banned from the big game, then they just get even weirder.

I knew kind of what was going on in the Legend of Zelda one, but only because I've got the game. Still a REALLY weird commercial. The puppets are a strange touch. WHY don't they make commercials like this in the states?

because they haven't spiked our groundwater with LSD. How's it supposed to make sense if you're sober? I'm convinced we did this to the Japanese after WW2 to make sure they wouldn't rise as a military power again. Slow-release canisters buried deep underground...
