Places You Would Want To Go

Japan-I love the country's culture, and that's the only reason I would go there.

Hawaii-Tropical sun and beach, what more do you want?

New York-I really wanted to see this place for a long time, from Broadway to the Statue of Liberty.

Phillipines-I want to reconnect my roots here.

Spain-Very interesting country, since I have learn to speak Spanish.

Well, that's all I could think of.

LaBloo 03-13-2007 10:26 AM

Dubai- it's a great place and beautiful and more by 2010
Spain - Could do some sidewalk art
Rome - Want to the best of Rome, Italy
I Have whoe list, over 100, but I won't tell all.

InsaneFan 03-13-2007 11:18 AM

Well, I don't have too many places in the US that I want to go, since I've been to most states now...

Japan
Italy
Australia
Ireland

All just 'cause.

scary_dream 03-13-2007 01:21 PM

Japan - SHOPPING!!! I have a couple of authentic Japanese shirts and I want more of them! Plus, there are a lot of original boutiques there that aren't in the States.

Canada - My sister says it's nice up there. Plus they sell self-parodying tourist candy called "Smarties, eh?" 8D lol I have a box, but I don't want to eat them.

Sweden - Why not? Plus, Swedish is a cool language.

Germany - So I wanna go to Germany, wanna fight abowdit?

Transylvania - I want to see the country part of my family originated in.

One Radical Dude 03-13-2007 07:11 PM

I'll name a few, first of all, outside of my country.

Australia - One of my first selections for countries to visit.

Canada - I've always wanted to visit my Northern neighbours, and I would like to visit during Winter (yeah, call me crazy, I know :P ).

Europe - I'd love to visit the UK, Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and a few others.

Japan - Definitely my choice to visit for Asia. Some cool stuff there.

As for the US:

Chicago - I was a huge Cubs fan, and I've always wanted to go to Wrigley Field. There are a few other sites I'd like to see.

New York City - I would've loved to see the WTC (if they were still there). A few of my friends loved visiting this city, and I wouldn't mind going over there someday.

Hawaii - Why not? Hee hee.

To any ski resort - I've always wanted to go to one of the ski resorts.

jekylljuice 03-14-2007 09:30 AM

A lot of people I've mentioned it to think this is kinda odd, but I really, really want to go to Antarctica. Sure, it's as far removed from your sun-soaking-on-the-beach type holiday as you can get, and there's hardly any local culture to absorb, unless you count those few scientists hanging out in their wooden cabins tagging penguins (and possibly being terrorised by polymorphic extra-terrestrials on the side), but I hear that it's really beautiful, and the cruises which transport you there are wonderful. The only downside is that they can be pretty expensive, or so I’m led to believe.

GrimTheLost 03-14-2007 09:54 AM

I would like to go to:

Japan: It is the forefront of technology.
England: So much history.
Australia: The beaches.
Ireland: It's my heritage.
France: Euro-Disney.

Medikor 03-14-2007 09:55 AM

Traveling is one of the things I dislike doing the most, but I do really want to go to Britain and Scotland to soak up some of my family history. I'd also like to go to other parts of Europe to satisfy the history nut in me.8D

Jabberwocky 03-14-2007 12:37 PM

I'll go anywhere, just for the sake of shopping. HOWEVER! I would love to go to Japan. There are some screwy things in Japan. There is much lolling to be lolled. And also shopping.

But most of all--HEDDON STREET! I want to stand in the telephone booth at Heddon Street! That is one of my top priorities in life. SO SHUT UP!

Howard 03-14-2007 01:54 PM

If I have a financial windfall, I will expat and live in New Zealand (been there). If my financial status remains the same - I will still expat to Italy, or somewhere.

Tonya 03-14-2007 02:00 PM

ScayDream, I didin't know Transylvania was actually a real place. I always thought it was kind of a myth or something. Cool! And by the way, I would love to go to Transylvania, just to get the feel of the place, to let my imagination run away with me...
I'm particularly interested in the place now since I'm currently writing a fictional story which has a mischevious, wise-cracking little hobgoblin/vampire guy named Calvin.

LaBloo 03-14-2007 03:11 PM

I'm still going with Dubai, Hong Kong, Surfers Paradise, Redding, California, Atlanta, Georgia, Beijing, Barcelona, Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo, Paris, France
Spokane, Seattle, Germany, Sydney, Tampa Metro.

Partymember 03-14-2007 03:13 PM

I want to do some backpacking around Europe and the US.

i'm hoping for Switzerland, myself. Big stone house in the mountains, oh, and you can't beat walking into a gunstore and saying...

..."Excuse me sir, but how much is that Sturgewehr 55?"

I love Switzerland

Definitely Europe, mostly England and France
Australia, just because the aussie is awesome
Japan, so cool
And sadly enough, Disney Land or Disney World, I've never been to either one

Nothing wrong with coming to Canada. Between the Just for Laughs festival and the CN tower (the worlds tallest freestanding structure) you're bound to enjoy yourself. And if you want a more relaxed trip, just come to the Maritimes and take in the seaside lifestyle. And the Ferry rides are fun too.;)

frankie_fan 03-14-2007 06:30 PM

My top places:

Los Angeles - I know I've been there before, but I want to go there again! I'm a movie buff and I didn't get to do other things the last time I was there.

Tokyo - If they do tours of Studio Ghibli, that would be on my list!!

New York - The best place to spend Christmas (if I ever do that is)!

Paris - Being a fan of The Da Vinci Code film, I would like to see the Lourve, as well as act out the final scene from that film!

meh, i've been to Wisconsin, not that great

koosie 03-15-2007 09:44 AM

I'd like to see the Kushan Empire as ruled in the 2nd century by the now-returned King Kanishka. Sadly the heart of it was in present day Afghanistan so I'll probably leave it. I will see the Himalayas soon I hope.

Partymember 03-16-2007 12:27 PM

Wel crimeny! You're located in Jupiter and you wanna see Wisconsin? Might as well see Vermont! "Well, there's a cow. Yep, that there's another cow. Oh, and hills. Lotsa hills. Yep. Consarnit."

not too engaging.

NYC Long Island: Trust me they are nice places to visit but a horrible place to live take it from someone that lived here for all of her short pathetic life
...
I wanna visit Japan and Australia :B

BluebottleFlyer 03-21-2007 02:08 AM

Oh boy, the furthest I've been in my life is North Yorkshire. Fun, heh...

As far as the UK goes:
Scotland - for the scenery
London - just to see what it's like

I doubt I'll ever get abroad, but if I could I'd love to go see:
Japan (or more specifically, Tokyo) - I imagine there's loads of weird and wonderful stuff there. And the place that spawned one of my fave metal bands has to be a good one, surely:)
USA - just want to see it, and maybe even meet some online friends
Norway - to see the fjords and valleys, for the scenery on the whole

YuckieDuck 03-21-2007 05:08 AM

The only country I have ever visited is Sweden and I live in Finland. So I would like to travel anywhere.

Bride_Of_Lister 03-24-2007 01:56 AM

I've always wanted to live in L.A for awhile (I've been there once) and the other place I'll always want to go is Tokyo (I'm going there this Tuesday for the 4th time.)

I never knew Australia was really that exciting, maybe I'm just immune to it.

Lynnie 07-23-2009 11:07 AM

Don't judge me for bumping this, it's been much too quiet around here lately and I hardly slept at all last night. :P

The UK- Most of my heritage comes from England, Ireland and Scotland. I want to get a feel for it, and see it as my ancestors did.

Australia- It's such an exotic and cultured continent, so many things to see and experience. Plus, much like the UK, we're all cousins.

Canada- I've been there as a child, but I really want to go back so I can make memories there. Particularly Victoria, BC and Toronto, ON. We're cousins as well.

Hawaii- I've always resented the summer of '04 when my parents, sis, aunt and grandma all went to Hawaii and didn't give me enough warning about the vacation so I could save up for it in time. I want to go without them now. :sadbendy:

China- I have many Chinese friends, and Filipino too for that matter, and I just love the culture and the food. My main imaginary friends were part Chinese.

The Caribbean- I love to swim. And the waters down there are so clear and so blue, I'd have a hay day in some mermaid outfit I can make for myself.

If you do make it up North another must go destination are the Maritime provinces (Particularly Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.) So much beauty and history is abound on those famous islands.

Lynnie 07-23-2009 02:17 PM

Oh definitely, I've always wanted to go to PEI since first seeing the Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea movies, it's absolutely gorgeous in that area. And as for Nova Scotia, I have roots there and New Brunswick, so I'd certainly love to see those areas as well. :)

L.G. 07-25-2009 12:43 PM

I would like to visit Germany if only because I want a chance to drive on their autobahn.

It's been ages since I've been to Ocean City, Maryland. I wish to go back there and visit. If not, almost any beach would do.

Howard 07-28-2009 08:20 PM

I would love to go back to New Zealand, or back to Egypt (I lived there for two years when I was in fourth and fifth grade).
