favorite sonic character?
 

so ive been wasting the last hour or so reading about sonic games on wikipedia, so now i pretty much have to post this according to my brain. anyways, like the title says, whos your favorite character in the sonic universe? personally, i like tails because, idk. i just always thought he was cooler than sonic and the other guys.

I picked Tails as well. He's just adorable.

I picked Knuckles because to me, he's just an all-around rad character. Not to mention, his capabilities in the game are pretty different and versatile, so it puts a new spin on just running and jumping. Not that running and jumping are bad (heck, it's what made the game what it is), I just like being able to glide, climb walls, dig (in the Dreamcast/GCN games), and punch stuff, too.

It was a hard choice between him and Sonic, though, because Sonic is special. He (seriously - no kidding) was my IF when I was little. Aww I wuv him! :D

Dr. Eggman is the exceedingly lame ass name given to Robotnik in Japan. Sonic and everyone refers to Robotnik as Eggman in every Japanaese Sonic game, even though HE still calls himself Robotnik as Eggman is more of a nickname.

I personally think it's a little too cheesy and Dr. Robotnik has a much more villainious tone to it.

Ah, I see. I assumed that was the case, but was not sure. I never knew Robotnik by any other name.

I agree, Eggman is pretty cheesy (unless maybe it was a Beatles joke or something, and then it would only be somewhat cheesy). Robotnik is a much better name for the guy, especially considering he deals with robots far more often than he does eggs.

He's called Eggman because he is egg shaped, some shows actually say that he's obsessed with eggs too. Robotnik has also gone as just plain Robotnik, Dr. Robotnik, Dr. Kintobar, and Sheriff Robotnik. Also in Japan, Robotnik is more or less a wussy.

He's a giggling, ninny of a moron who likes to take over the world and just caters to his "eggy ego" most of the time. The Sonic cartoons in America. actually made him more eviller then he was in japan.


Sonic X shows the same king of doofus Eggman villain as the games show. But the American Sonic cartoons really make Robotnik a good baddie, especially in the SATam Sonic TV show from ABC. :o That Robotnik was freaking satanic!

Tails. When I was a wee little lad watching the SatAM Sonic series, I think Tails just made an impression on me and I just really ended up growing fond of the character. I'll freely admit, though, that I'm a big sucker for Sonic in general and am still a fan, and continue to purchase the Archie comics. It's really one of the few obsessions that's had the same strength for most of my life.
