Men in Black

One Missed Call 2

It's been a while since I saw MIB, I thought I knew everything about this movie but man did I forget a lot of things. Got refreshed on a lot of the things and lines I missed before.

I saw the original (Japanese) first One Missed Call movie 2 nights ago and I got to say it was pretty damn amazing. I avoid watching subtitled movies if I can help it but this was a kick ass movie, VERY creepy and very well made.....but this sequel seriously lacked. It was a confusing, misleading, dragged out mess.

Good Wilt Hunting

Because it was on tv just now :D but the Swedish dub, however, it's one of the better dubs, so I didn't mind. I have only seen it in English before (I think). I really love the backgrounds of the whole movie, especially in the scene where Wilt mows all the lawns (for some odd reason)

Other than that I watched Meet The Robinsons another ten times at least XD

Howl's Moving Castle

Call me crazy, but I'm actually starting to prefer this Miyazaki picture to Spirited Away (which is still a wonderful movie). As with Spirited Away, people often dismiss the narrative as confusing, but it becomes more and more transparent with repeated viewings. The animation is beautiful, the storyline is charming and neatly understated, and I find myself being increasingly enchanted by the story elements charting Sophie's growing sense of respect and affection for all those supporting characters, as well as the focal point of her relationship with Howl.

My only complaint would be directed at that plot detail toward the end which is tied up rather sloppily, at least in the English dub. I guess I need to watch it with it's original Japanese soundtrack some time soon, to see how it compares.

The Brave One

Man vigilante movies must be hot this year, this was a great movie. Very emotional and very realistically done. They really nailed the "feelings" of what would happen to you if your life ended up like hers (Jodie Foster's).

I always find it funny when I go to see vigilante movies that despite how serious the issue of taking lives is, there's always at least a few people who CLAP when the main character kills off the bad guys. I find that to be the strangest thing.

Anyways, great movie, really top notch stuff and nice to see Foster doing some kick ass work again.

Crash Test

It was so BAD I turned it off. It was listed as an indi film but really it is more of a cheep cam corder from some kids. I have seen plenty of student films that were much better then this. (sorry for anyone that liked this film, but if anyone did, please tell me why????)

Mystery Men

8 years later and this movie still rules.

Finding Nemo

A friend of mine and I are arguing over wich Pixar movie is the best. I say The Incredibles and I actually rank that movie as one of my top 5 movies of all time. My friend says Finding Nemo. So, I rewatched Finding Nemo last night only to come to the conclusion that... I still don't think it's THAT great. Maybe it's because I'm heartless and cold and the movie is supposed to be heartwarming? D: I don't know. I think I'm just an action whore, so The Incredibles appeals to me a lot more

The ending of the movie is quite surprising even if you already know. Many people already cobble together an entire movie in their head before seeing it, and are astounded by the actual result. The fact that the reveal is actually the least interesting thing about the entire picture will always amaze me.
