I started a new game of Pokemon Crystal on the old GBC a few weeks ago, which I've been playing pretty intermittently since. Who knows, I might even be able to finish this time. I very seldom ever completed a game of Pokemon in the past...oh sure, I have the skills, but I'm way too neurotic. I blame it on the fact that they only allow you to have six active pocket monsters at once. I always got fed up with the team I was currently raising, regretted not trying out a different combination, and switched off and started again, only to end up doing the exact same thing all over again a couple of weeks or so later. Well, one day maybe.

I wanna be the guy still.

Trying it on impossible to see how far I can get.
So far, not so far. :/

Wait, no, now it's Guitar Hero 3.
AND THE BRIDGE OF BEFORE I FORGET MURDERS ME.

Medikor 09-15-2008 09:21 AM

I've been in such a Mega Man frenzy that I actually dug out my old Mega Man for the Game Boy and started playing.:)

Bloonan 09-22-2008 03:08 PM

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

Reset my safe file yesterday.
Hopefully this time I'll beat the last boss without an infinite health cheat.

Also, decided to slash at the cuccos for a bit...
BIG MISTAKE.

I'm personally still yet to get that game.
Do I get no pity? :bloosad:

Mega Man 9 (Wii)

To those out there who think that there isn't enough games on the system that cater to the hardcore gaming crowd, then kindly spend the ten bucks to download this bad boy and prepare to be rocked by some good old fashioned 100% wholesome 8-bit goodness. (Yeah Capcom totally reverted back to NES styled sprites for this outing and believe me it works.)

Now this is the Mega Man I remember from my childhood. Easy to play, hard to master and a great great soundtrack.

Kirby's Super Star: Ultra (DS)

That's right ladies and germs it's everyone's favorite homicidal pink puff ball in a remake of his 1996 Super Nintendo classic.

If you get any kind of enjoyment out of the Kirby series, then do anything in your power to get this game.

It's already out? I didn't think it came out until October.

Anyways, I've currently been playing Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I've pretty much been on a RPG spree, but honestly, there isn't a moment where I'm not.

some guy you dont know 09-24-2008 06:43 PM

Tasha's Game

Best game about the Double Fine Action Comics by Tasha =D~

BluebottleFlyer 09-25-2008 02:49 AM

I've recently started playing on XBox Live, missed out on it for far too long. Briefly had a go on Soul Calibur 4 and GTA 4, but the game I'm almost always on is Halo 3. There's just something about going round blasting fellow Spartans and Elites from all over the globe to kingdom come. Stress relief, that's the words.:) Even though I've been owned in almost every battle.

Bloonan 09-25-2008 02:12 PM

The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (still)

Random things I've shouted:

"Gah!"

"Lasers!"

"Half a heart!"

"GAAAAAAH NOOOOOO"

And, I just sword jumped off a moving platform into the evil darkness below go kill a bat.
NOT SMART.

Medikor 09-25-2008 03:48 PM

After a few days of extra waiting I finally managed to download Mega Man 9 on the Wii. It was without a doubt more than worth the wait and hype! And my brother just purchased Kirby SSU today. :D

Bloonan 09-29-2008 01:55 PM

Rock Band.

I wish I could get Kirby SSU though.
NOTHING LIKE SNES REMAKES. *cheesy commercial grin*

de-Blob (Wii)

One of the best Wii games (That doesn't feature Mario, Link ,Samus, Mega Man or Strong Bad.) I have played thus far.

In this game you guide your squishy protagonist through various sections of a black and white city and it's your goal to paint the town red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple or even coffee brown in order to bring color back to a world in which all things bright and cheerful were taken away via the game's antagonist (An evil oppressive regime).

The game has a unique look, funky soundtrack, easy to control and is just plain fun.

So fellow Wii owners you would be wise to check this one out.

Hm, I should probably look into that, but I'm not sure I'll have the time or money to get that now with Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Tom Clancy's Endwar, and Resident Evil 5 all set to release this fall and spring. *sigh* being a gamer is fun and enjoyable, but it sure ain't cheap!8D

Anyway, what I'm currently playing is Twilight Princess, which I still haven't beaten yet (Hell, I just finished the Wind Waker for the first time back in July) along with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, which I also haven't finished yet. I tried to play 3, but it's really difficult for me since you constantly have to hold the wii remote out and move it to turn and aim and that really tires my arm out fast.

And on a side note, I went into my crawlspace a few weeks ago and found my Super NES! Needless to say, I was extremely happy to not only find the system, but all my games and controllers, and that they all still work! It was surprising, considering that it had been sitting up in a proverbial oven for 3 years or so. So I'm also doing some retro gaming on the sidelines, though with all my college work now it's becoming more difficult to find time.

Mega Man 9

Just downloaded this game on my Wii yesterday, and I have to say, I never had this much fun for a long time.

It was clearly a throwback to the early Mega Man games (the first one, of course), very challenging too, since the ability to dash, charge and duck have been removed. Still, I enjoy this game, as it was very simple in terms of gameplay and design.

Overall, I recommend this game to anyone.

Does it count if I watched someone play Silent Hill: Homecoming on youTUBE because I don't have a 360 or PS3?

I'd say it might. 8D
But if so, watching Mega Man 9.

And now, the Spore Creatures demo that's on the Wii's Nintendo Channel.
Quite fun.
I want the full game. =D

some guy you dont know 10-11-2008 04:41 PM

mega man battle network 3. ive been furiously playing that the last two days. for instance, i spent from like 11 am till 4:30 or so playing it today.

before that was mega man 2. gawrsh i am not good at that.

as you might be able to tell, ive been on a mega man kick as of lately.

Bloonan 10-11-2008 05:31 PM

that reminds me of something, the first time (thursday or so) that i played megaman, i tried to take on cutman and gutsman in that order. not a very smart idea.

i think elecman is weak to cutman's ability. just saying.

He is?
What a coincedence; before I knew that I had plans for Elecman anyway.

I managed to borrow Diablo off my brother. Boy was I surprised at how tedious it feels now compared to when I played it way back. It's still a gem and is helping to ease the wait for Diablo 3 but man has it come a long way.8D

taranchula 10-14-2008 01:42 PM

World of Goo (Wii)

(Which contrary to what some of you may think, this is in fact NOT a game about a motor mouthed supporting character who wears a rainbow shirt and yellow boots.)

No, this fun little game is a puzzle game in the same vain of Lemmings only replace the lemmings with balls of goo.

It's got a unique look, great soundtrack and easy to pick up and play it's well worth the 15$ for the Wiiware version (or 10$ for the PC.)

iluvBlooQKazoo 10-15-2008 12:31 PM

I played 'Team work' on cartoonnetwork.com, got to level 49 and lost my last life. I was mad, but I know if I keep trying I'll end up beating the game, hooray. :P

Peace and Love: J.M Manucy aka iluvBlooQKazoo

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. I actually managed to find a Diablo Battle Chest at Walmart today. Needles to say I grabbed it since it was the only one left. Now I'm truly set for Diablo III. I'm also patiently waiting for the late October release of the newest DS Castlevania title, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.

Dead Space

One of the few anticipated video games this fall, Dead Space is a welcome addition to the survival horror video games. Clearly, this videogame was inspired from great Sci-fi films, such as Alien, The Thing and even Event Horizon. The atmosphere is very tense, the gameplay is great and so far, I like the plot it has. Overall, a great game, especially for both the PS3 and the 360.

some guy you dont know 10-19-2008 06:34 PM

chex quest

hey anyone else remember that? fun times. even if it is just more or less a doom mod.

Super Mario Galaxy

Beautiful soundtrack, awesome levels...especially the mini levels, and the laws of gravity don't always apply in this game.

Xroc88 10-23-2008 10:54 AM

Far Cry 2.

Really cool landscape and graphics.

Sims 2, but I guess you already knew that. ;) Over the last few days much of what I've been doing has been more about game operations and maintainance than actual play. Downloads that I can live without have been removed, corrupt files are being rooted out and deleted, auxillary programs moved to the G: drive, etc., all in an ongoing effort to streamline the game and make it run better. I still haven't been able to figure out why playing community lots makes the game crash; however, I have managed to reduce the game's load time from over ten minutes to about three. I'll call that progress.

Anything that lowers load time is progress in my book.

Anyway, the last thing I played was, as usual, Guitar Hero 3, but I'm planning on playing a bit of Sonic and the Secret Rings later, like the Sonic fanboy I am.

Xroc88 10-29-2008 05:42 AM

I seriously cannot wait for gears of war 2.

Are you going to take the easy way out and use the pause/elec beam trick?

Or

Are you going to do it the "MANS" way and beat that sucker through pattern remembrance and just a smidgen of luck?
