I'm confused on something. I went to TVshowsondvd.com and according to them Foster's season 1 won't be released until March 6th 2007 and not February.

I have the link right here: http://tvshowsondvd.com/releasesmonth.cfm

So is the site wrong or is it really coming out in February?

The site is correct. I go by what the site and most retailers say, which is indeed March 6.

Mr. Marshmallow 01-14-2007 11:38 AM

Yeah i found that out when I was looking up information on Sonic the hedgehog DVDs. I was browsing through release dates and low and behold, there Foster's was in March. So I wonder where did talk of a February release come from?

I also discovered that after so many many MANY YEARS the saturday morning SATam Sonic cartoon show will FINALLY be released on DVD ;D :cheese:  :bloogrin :berry:!!! I know that was off topic.

But I've been waiting for years for that show, it's a childhood dream come true!

One Radical Dude 01-14-2007 12:00 PM

It was originally announced that the DVD would be released on February 7, only to reschedule it for March 6.

scary_dream 01-15-2007 07:11 PM

I think I'll be able to wait... lol I was hardened to the whole "waiting" thing when they pushed Twilight Princess back like, almost a year and a half, was it?

That felt like the longest wait EVER. A month shouldn't be TOO bad, right?

taranchula 01-15-2007 09:57 PM

Well if you guys think the wait for the DVD's is too long, you can always do what Cartman did while waiting for the Nintendo Wii in that one episode of South Park. Freeze yourself until the day the DVD hits stores......on second thought if anyone knows what I am talking about and has seen the episode of South Park in question, you know maybe that isn't such a good idea. 8D

scary_dream 01-16-2007 07:58 PM

Hah, definetely.

Medikor 01-23-2007 02:19 PM

At least it's only another month. I can wait for it.:D

Howard 01-24-2007 11:16 AM

Well, now I have two DVD's on pre-order: "What's New Scooby-Doo" (02/20), and "Foster's" (March).

Invader Bloo 01-26-2007 09:36 PM

Only 1 more month. Only 1 more month. Only 1 more month. Only 1 more month. Only 1 more month.
:) :bloocross: ;) :D :mfoster: :herriman:   :cheese: :goo: ;D :berry: >:( :bendy: :jk:

HappyFoppy 02-02-2007 01:07 AM

Lol, IB. Belgium is having a tad longer wait on Foster's episodes, so I know how everyone feels now. Pretty sad it's STILL a longer wait for that DVD... I wonder what they'll say on March 2nd. It's delayed to April? :)

P.S. We don't have Challenge of the SuperFriends yet ;)

Invader Bloo 02-02-2007 02:15 PM

I know why it's delayed Ben 10 season 1 comes out the original date.
Strange, last time I checke Foster's was the # 1 rated show on CN!:frankiemad:

Well that is a bummer that Ben 10 has it's date, and Foster's is backed up a month!:frankiemad:

InsaneFan 02-05-2007 10:43 AM

*dances around* I can't wait, I can't waiiiiit! =D

Was, anyway. It may still be #1 to us, but that doesn't mean it's still the #1 highest rated program on Cartoon Network. Ben 10 is a huge show for the network, also. Either way, I don't agree with it getting a release ahead of Foster's.

Mr. Marshmallow 02-07-2007 05:46 PM

I think it might have to go with Ben 10 stemming a much broader audience then Foster's does. If NBC's "Heroes" has taught me anything, is that science fiction, super heroes, and all around freaky action packed weird crap is very popular.

Especially now more then ever. Ben 10 appeals to action and sci fi fans, with a very original plot (Foster's as well) and being of the few actually action based cartoon shows for kids out there that isn't already an anime or something.

I love Ben 10, I also love Foster's, but I get different things out of each series so it's hard to judge the popularity of the public. I think from a financial point this is probably wiser because of the more general kid fan factor for DVD sales.

I'm not happier that Foster's is delayed anymore then you guys are, but I also admit that I can kind of see why they would choose to go this route.

Bride_Of_Lister 02-12-2007 10:24 PM

It's been officially announced by Madman that Australia and New Zealand will be getting a region 4 release of Foster's! (as well as other CN and [adult swim] titles)

Mmm... sauce: http://www.madman.com.au/htmlmail/ca...k/2007_02_feb/

Sparky 02-12-2007 10:29 PM

DRAT!! You beat me to it!!

Those of you outside of Australia who don't know who Madman are, they are a brilliant Australian company that specalises in anime, Australian independent films, world cinema and art house films. Their popular releases include Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchemist, Internal Affairs (remade as The Departed) and Ring (remade as The Ring).

I'm so grateful of Madman to release Cartoon Network and [adult swim] DVDs for Australia and NZ. That announcement really made my day!

Bride_Of_Lister 02-17-2007 08:11 PM

That was my reaction when I saw it was Madman. They do things really well! ^_^

frankie_fan 02-18-2007 07:58 PM

More info about Madman can be accessed here:

March isn't too far away now!!

HappyFoppy 02-20-2007 07:08 AM

Hum dum dummm.... *drumroll*

Imaginary Light 02-20-2007 07:13 AM

:yeah: Waaay too close! I'm feeling it.

jekylljuice 02-21-2007 08:28 AM

I hope this gets a Region 2 release eventually. Set in my ways that I am, I still haven't been able to get myself into the habit of importing. Region codes are such an evil thing.>:(

Agreed. I see no point to them. >:(

Medikor 02-21-2007 01:50 PM

It feels like Christmas is right around the corner again!8D I've been waiting for what feels like an eternity now. I just really want to have this, and future, Fosters dvds so I can have the show forever.

frankie_fan 02-25-2007 01:14 PM

I know, although us Aussies have to wait until April 4th!

CG 02-25-2007 03:22 PM

Not me! I ordered mine with Amazon. :]

Howard 02-26-2007 08:09 AM

Here is what confuses me. Why are people pre-ordering the Foster's Season One? It makes no difference whether you pre-order it, or buy it, or buy it a week from the release date - it all gets released on the same day. There will be plenty of supplies of this DVD to go around as well.:D

For me, there's a good chance that the DVD will be released later than the release date in my location. Also, I have an Amazon gift certificate that I want to use, so I prefer to use that.

CG 02-26-2007 03:46 PM

For me, I don't want to wait until April or later to purchase it. That's why I preordered.

Howard 02-27-2007 07:47 AM

I just want people to realize, I am not arguing here, I just want to see how everyone is purchasing the DVD, and why. I wanted to see the advantages of pre-ordering, or purchasing on the release date, and so on.

Cassini90125 02-27-2007 08:11 AM

I've considered pre-ordering, but I'll likely just pick it up at the local Best Buy. I've already recorded all the episodes so the "official" disk isn't too high a priority for me. My main interest is the extras and the cover and interior art.

Last time I checked it was.

frankie_fan 02-27-2007 04:39 PM

I usually purchase the DVD. I only pre-order if I desperately want to see something again (like I did with The Producers: The Movie Musical!)

bloonuggets 03-03-2007 12:22 AM

Three days and counting until the release of Season One.

I also heard if you buy it on amazon.com, you also get a free downlaod from their "unboxed" service.

BluebottleFlyer 03-03-2007 02:44 AM

It comes out on Monday...but, being from the UK, I have no chance of getting it...:(

HappyFoppy 03-03-2007 09:42 PM

I hope someone posts stuff like character commentary on YouTube. I can't wait to see it.
