Well, after a nice little breakfast at the Village Cafe, I spent a bit of time this morning queuing up to get my Con badge, and just took a long walk around the whole exhibit hall, far too much stuff to even begin to mention, really.
I tried to get to the signing session for "The Big Bang Theory", but due to security being totally inept at designating a queue, and the fact that there was no mention that you needed to get a green dot stamped on your badge to be able to get into the signing, and that the booth was insanely crowded, I completely failed. Oh well, can't win them all.
I did check out the BOOM! Studios booth though, and bought a copy of their take on "Monsters Inc".
Aside from the Con, I had a look out to Balboa Park, very picturesque.

Every year, I say I'm getting too old for this ... and yet, I've pre-regged for 2011. Just a FYI, parking is horrible this year (not that it was great prior years, but it is especially bad this year). I lucked out yesterday afternoon - FREE spot right at 1st and Island (equivalent to being just 2 blocks away).

Otherwise, my Thursday was spent ... not doing much. 8D Did my typical "wholesome meal for <$5 at Ralph's". Then I wasted 30 minutes of my life at the 'New Generation of Spike and Mike". But isn't it an hour long? Exactly.

This morning ... $30 just for parking at an open lot. Ouch.

Mark Evanier says that very few of the protestors from Westboro Baptist Church showed up and were pretty much shouted down by counter-protestors.

Howard and I saw them briefly while driving by, and there weren't very many of them, nor were they overly active. They just stood there, holding their hate signs for oncoming traffic to see. I flipped off one of them but I don't think he noticed.

They've prolly seen too many already ...

Still, I have my Foamy [the Squirrel] 'fingers' shirt with me ... so if push came to shove.

I'm in a decent mood right now, though; I'm wearing the FHIF all-over print shirt right now.

Oh yeah, I knew there was something...if somebody could snag me a copy of the Worst Cartoons dvd if there is one this year I'd be grateful. I can get it online too but I'd rather not. I want the Monsters Inc comic too but that I should be able to find in town.

I'll be on the lookout, Sparky - I still have your magnet from ... ummm, 2 years ago.

Cass and I took a drive today. I am really starting to know my way around again. Unfortunately when we drove out to Mera Mesa, our Frankie's Italian Deli had gone out of business. We managed to relieve the tears with a Popeyes fried chicken up the road. We are currently planning our next move.:bloocross:

GM just informed me that iceberg earlier offered to pick us up a copy of Worst Cartoons, so no one else needs to worry about it. Thanks anyways.
