I've noticed how they've shortened the intro and I agree that they've really made it horrible now. Everything just feels so...rushed and sloppy! :-/

I also wouldn't want them to cut out any part of the show for commercials, just as some of you were mentioning earlier. I guess if I had to pick between both ideas I'd rather have a shorter intro before a shorter show, but I still think that CN has shown carelessness by doing this to Foster's.

I'm so sad that they shortened the intro! :'( I loved how through the windows of the house, you could see Mac running and meeting up with all his new friends. It really sent a message that Mac and the gang are really close. Cutting out the individual meetings where the characters can be seen through those windows (like in my avatar) makes that message lose its emphasis.

I also love the theme music-- it's so peppy and happy. It seems like no matter what kind of mood you're in, if you hear that Foster's music kick up, you're gonna smile! It's already fast-tempo-- don't speed it up any more! (If they speed it up any more, it'll sound like a 12" vinyl record playing on the 7" vinyl record speed. <We have a record player at my house, and sometimes my parents'll listen to their old records, so I have a vague idea of how a record player works.>)

But anyway, I'm sad now that they changed it. It was good already-- why try to fix what's not broken?

I haven't noticed any shortening in the intro or theme music. To me, shortening the intro is like paying a lot of money to go to a gig, only for the the band only playing half their set. Or something along those lines.

I sent a message to CN. Here's their reply:

Hello, CartoonNetworkFan!

Thank you for watching Cartoon Network!

Unfortunately, we have cut the intro a bit, because of the show's original timing. A Foster's episode length is 7 minutes., if we put the full theme song, the show would've come to cancellation early.

Stay tuned to Cartoon Network!

That's a load of baloney right there. Plus, the last time I watched Foster's, it showed the entire opening.

CartoonNetworkFan 03-24-2008 11:06 PM

Well, that's what they sent to me

Lynnie 03-24-2008 11:12 PM

I'm pretty sure what ORD meant is that what Turner said is a load of baloney, not you. :)

And I agree, because the last few new episodes we saw had the whole intro, not the cheap shortened one. It just doesn't make sense. :terrconf:

Don't try to read logic into anything CN does. Remember, these are the same people who put Squirrel Boy on the air and created BFAHP.

ROTFL!! 8D

Exactly!

It's just an automated response no doubt, the mechincal language used in the reply is a dead giveaway.
