Either the Basketball-Headed Dude is Wilt's biological father, or his SON, begotten either by a female Imaginary Friend, or more likely, a female HUMAN, and some deep animosity has arisen between them. This would make one of them a "F-2" Imaginary Friend, created not by the mind of a human child, but conceived and born just as we are. That scene in that Star Wars movie in which Darth Vader cuts off Luke Skywalker's arm with the light saber comes eerily to mind.

Good one, Cassini! That almost made me forget my sinus headache and the fact that I still have to go outside in the rain to feed the dogs!

Pitbulllady: LOL! You got a lot of theorys there! But I highly disagree about the whole "alien" thing, since IFs can look like anything. And BRAINWASHING? I don't think today's technology can do that much. Yet. He could've just gotten anmesia until that part.

I think they're just rivals. My theory is that the Basketball-head somehow won over Wilt's creator at some point. XD

I liked this, so I thought about showing mom that, since she also likes "Star Wars"(And "Lord Of The Rings" and "Harry Potter"). Mom liked it, too!:D So the screenshot is *good*!

I can hardly wait, though, to find out just WHO the Basketball-Headed Dude really is, and just what his relationship to Wilt, and to Wilt's seemingly sordid past, is. Here are some of my theories as to the possibilities; time will tell which, if any, are close to hitting the mark:

1 4. The Gangsta's Paradise scenario-Wilt is a former gangbanger, having gotten involved with it either because his creator was, or he got caught up in it while trying to survive on his own. The Basketball-Headed Dude is a member of a rival gang(have to watch the video of the trailer again, but was he wearing BLUE?), or a member of the same gang that Wilt tried to leave, or snitched on. He was the one who is responsible for Wilt being injured, in any case, and has thought all this time that Wilt was dead. Wilt, meanwhile, survived his injuries(duh), but has become involved with the Federal Witness Protection Act, giving him a new identity(what if his name wasn't always "Wilt"?)and a new life at Foster's, provided he keeps quiet about his violent past. They might have even employed some brainwashing techniques(a'la that Richard Nixon lookalike guy in "The Incredibles")to erase Wilt's memory of his past, but the picnic at Foster's triggered their return, and a desire for revenge!

Anyone else got any theories?

I'm going with this gangsta theory. To me, it would make for the most unexpected and interesting scenario to have Wilt being a former gang-member, and getting hurt in that way. (From snitching or some other gang-related incident.) The basketball-head dude could very well be a rival gang member.

Nice theorizing, PBL.

I agree with that. Because not only would of Wilt of been a bandoned but he would of been replaced, so that could be one of the reasons why he's so nice: He doesn't want to be abbandoned again or have anyone begin to dislike him and find some else. However his niceness may now be permanent no matter what because well, he IS a pretty old friend.

I also have a different theory. I think that the basketball headed dude doesn't REALLY have anything to do with Wilt at all. It's just one of those famous spur of the moment things (or however you spell that). I was thinkin' maybe Wilt felt like taking a break while walking through... where ever he is and just so happens to stumble upon a basket ball court with a Basket Ball left carelessly by the gate. Wilt sees this and thinks 'hey why not. I could do with a break any ways' so he's in the court being his groovy wiltish self and shooting a few hoops and then that basket ball headed dude comes along and rambles on saying something like "Hey this MY turf." and everything just comes from that.... yeah. It's not my fault I'm simple!

OK, I noticed this today...I stumbled across CG's LiveJournal while I got a very brief interlude from my scheduled classes(substitute homeroom teacher forgot to bring kids to Art class until first 15 minutes of class had already passed). On it, she has a larger, clearer pic of that classic face-off/stare-down scene from GWH, between Wilt and Mr. Basketball Head, which is large enough to see what's in the background behind them. It appears that they are in a rough neighborhood, with chainlink fencing that's been cut, and crumbling buildings. HOWEVER, the most interesting thing is that there are several other beings behind them, either monsters or IF's, and one of them is a dead-ringer for a bit character from Monsters, Inc., a multi-eyed, tentacled guy called "Waxford" in the movie. If you recall, he was the one accosted by Randall after Mike tried to pin the blame(of letting in a human child)on him, because of his "shifty eyes". I swear that the guy on the other side of the fence, behind Wilt and Mr. Basketball Head, looks exactly like him. Whether this is pure coincidence or not, I can't say. It DOES, however, from the background, anyway, make the "Gansta" scenario look a bit more probable indeed, since it gives that "feel" that there are not only human gangs in this world, but gangs made up of lost or abandoned Imaginary Friends and/or monsters, who, like human kids, become involved with such activities in order to feel that they "belong", and to survive by strength in numbers, even if it means turning to crime and violence.
