A bit slow, a bit cheesy in places, but overall it's held up really well. I preferred Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor to Gene Hackman's - Hackman's was played almost totally for laughs, with the wigs and moron sidekicks, whilst Spacey's had some real threat to him.

Yeah and Spacey's Luthor had one of the greatest scenes in movie history...

Lex Luthor: Come on, let me hear you say it, just once.
Lois Lane: You're insane.
Lex Luthor: No! No, not that the other thing. Come on, I know it's on the tip of your tongue.
Lois Lane: Superman will never...
Lex Luthor: WRONG!

That line alone made me want to see this movie after seeing the trailer. I was worried about Spacey being Luthor at first, but he truly took it home in that movie and I think hackman's performances sucks horribly in comparison.

I HATED the way Donner portrayed Luthor, with the plad shirts and wearing that rug on his head, and acting like some sort of saturday morning cartoon villain when he is SUPPOSED to be a ruthless, brilliant, powerful arch nemesis type villain.

"Superman Returns" was a good film, it was a well directed film, it just would have been nicer to see something new instead of well.....a remake which is almost what this movie basically was, it was supposed to be a sequel but everything played off like remake.

My biggest complaint though stems from 2 problems: 1. Lois Lane's actress Kate Bosworth did a decent job as Lois, but the fact she's supposed to be a well aged mom and someone who's been around a while doesn't fit in with someone as young as Bosworth is.

And 2. I REALLY was upset Luthor and Superman didn't have any scenes together aside from the finale. I would have liked to see those two interact more and it bummed me out because I always loved Spacey's Luthor and I would have liked to see how he handled Superman more often face to face.

Pan's Labyrinth

An amazing, dark, and fantastic movie. Definitely not for the kids, there's some serious dark and violent stuff in here.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights. One of my all time favourite Mel Brooks films! Very funny and Cary Elwes was brilliant.

Ant Bully

That movie absolutely cracks me up, no matter how many times I watch it!

I... love... Kevin... Spacey. Seriously.

I just watched Snakes on a Plane and the Descent. Snakes on a Plane was awesome, but the Descent... eh, not what everyone made it up to be. I was sad that even Fango praised it and fans built it up and it still was pretty lackluster. Just a lot of screaming, blood, and claustrophobia.

Well there is always the sequel, and even though the villans in that one will more then likely end up being General Zod and his crew, they can still always fit Luthor in there somehow. You can never have enough Lex. :slybendy:

As much as I want to see more Lex, I hope they don't use Zod because I frankly think that would be totally stupid. They need to bring in some seriously DIFFERENT super villains, Superman's has plenty of villains from his comic book days that deserve to be on screen more then General Zod a second time.

Parasite, Darkseid, Doomsday, Brainiac, Bizarro, Metallo, hell even Mr. Mxypsptzlyk would be better then Zod for a second time. I think Bryan Singer needs to stop rewashing the old Superman movies and make a NEW one.
