Invader Bloo 12-07-2006 02:46 PM

AW.. a month later! :(

Jabberwocky 12-07-2006 07:14 PM

Well, it'll be a happy unbirthday, to me. :)

taranchula 12-08-2006 04:18 AM

Just placed my pre-order for this bad boy off of Amazon.Ca, pretty cheap too after taxs and shipping it came to a little over $20.00 Canadian.

Which is a good thing because goods tend to cost a little more up here in Canada.

TrickyDisco 12-09-2006 06:21 AM

Just pre-ordered my copy! :)

I had no idea this was coming out until I checked out amazon.com for something totally different and it listed that DVD as "something I might like"... ya think? :D

CG 12-09-2006 02:25 PM

I pre-ordered mine a few days back too. Horay.

Partymember 12-09-2006 08:42 PM

i should preorder...maybe tomorrow. It shouldn't go up in price, though, so i don't need to do it quick.

One Radical Dude 12-09-2006 09:03 PM

I'm probably not going to pre-order until maybe February. I mean, a lot could happen with me between now and that time.

hottoepicker 12-10-2006 09:47 AM

i preordered mine on amazon as well...i like the surprise of preordering and then i get something mailed to me months later....weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Invader Bloo 12-10-2006 12:25 PM

I'll pre-order to, if I ever get around to it. Probally not.

Mr. Marshmallow 12-10-2006 07:13 PM

I'll just do what I always do:

Walk into the store and buy it. I don't usually preorder stuff because you still gotta wait for it to arrive, even if by credit card. I'd much rather just walk in, buy it, and go home.

Me too. I'll even drive to several towns if it means getting my hands on an item I want that day rather than order it and have to wait. ;)

Yeah, my parents had to do that last Christmas to find me "Godzilla: Final wars" because it was on my list. They said it was a pain in the ass to find it, but I got it and I was happy as can be.

Plus by going to BestBuy for it, I can get those points on my card and eventually get like a 5 bucks coupon from em in the mail. I shop there alot.

I am thinking of getting the DVD.:-/ Will they release the other seasons in the future?

Partymember 12-11-2006 11:37 AM

i would assume, the question is, WHEN? Will they be released months apart or a year apart or what?

Yeah, but people need to support the first seasonal release, if you want to see future releases.

That's true. I have thought about getting the DVD and I decided to get it sometime. Some of my favorite episodes are from season 1.:bloogrin

One Radical Dude 12-23-2006 12:01 AM

Well, I decided to go ahead and pre-order with Amazon. I got a gift certificate from a friend, and I used the 1-day shipping option. :)

Xx_BrokenWithASmile_Xx 12-24-2006 06:54 PM

It comes out in February? Thats weird Amazon.com says it comes out in March!! I hope it does come out in February theres no way I can wait till March!!!

One Radical Dude 12-24-2006 06:56 PM

Sorry to disappoint you, Steph, but the DVD release date got pushed back to March 6, instead of February 7.

Partymember 12-25-2006 10:43 AM

lets hope its being loaded with extras so they need to push it back! Preferrably Frankie extras.

All I have to say is that it better be worth the wait. I am already frustrated with the fact the date got bumped back (nothing I can do), but I hope the extras will make up for the wait alone!;)

According to the page--this item cannot be shipped outside the U.S.A.

...I'm not the only one who's starting to become deeply upset and offended by Cartoon Network's continued shunning of everybody who isn't from the States, am I? :( :frankiemad: :herriman:

I live in the States, and I'm with you on this. What possible reason could they have for denying the disk, or anything else, to the fans outside the U. S.? It doesn't make any sense. :(

I know. I'm from Australia, and (I know this isn't Foster's related) the Teen Titans DVDs released aren't the Complete Season ones like in the US, but they're Volume 1, Volume 2 and all that rubbish. I was lucky enough to go on holiday to LA, and I was able to get the Complete Season 1 of that show!

I just don't know why the complete seasons aren't available to the rest of the world!

Partymember 01-11-2007 03:44 PM

assuming you have a multi-region DVD player i imagine you could buy via Amazon or, if they ship directly from CN, then EBay.

Ditchy McAbandonpants 01-11-2007 06:52 PM

As a UK resident, I hear you all on the whole Region 1 superiority issue, though to be fair, it's hardly just Cartoon Network that does it; frankly, I find the whole DVD region encoding business to be a massive slap in the face to overseas consumers and, indeed, the very notion of free trade. :frankiemad: I mean, I do have a multi-region player at home, and there are still ways that I will be able to import it, but it's still a royal pain in the backside to have to go through all that rigmarole for a disc I'll only be able to use with one of my players at home, when I know that I really ought to be able to just go to a shop and buy it, no hassle.

Still, Foster's on DVD and all that...I'm mostly just looking forward to having ultra-high quality copies of the episodes that I can watch on my TV instead of my computer, without CN banners or annoying yammering over the end credits. The extras should be nice too, though; I hope we'll see at least some behind-the-scenes stuff from Craig and co.

PS. By the way, Sparky - had you considered overhauling your Season One screengrabs section when the DVD comes out? Don't get me wrong - I'm certainly not requesting you do this, or even suggesting that you should feel you need to; it would be a lot of unnecessary work on your part, and the screengrabs you've got are great as they are, and are a fantastic resource for Foster's fans. It just struck me that DVD-standard fidelity (minus on-screen logos and banners), combined with the superior software on your new computer, would make for some very high-quality screengrabs, so I was just wondering if you'd thought about the idea. :)

Yes. You may not have noticed, but I redid a couple episodes from Season One a few months ago (going from small galleries to 100+ ones) but I stopped when I realised that I just have to do it again when the DVDs came out.

Sparky 01-11-2007 10:21 PM

It may say it's in stock in the shop, but when I tried to order it it said it was sold out.

So its either really sold out - or they let you order it, saying you'll get it when they restock, and then you get it when its actually released. ;)

One Radical Dude 01-11-2007 10:45 PM

A huge disadvantage to trying to order from the CN Shop is that any checks, money orders, or even debit or check cards are prohibited. Yay. ::)

I had a thought today: what about those pre-paid VISA cards you can get now? Maybe those would work?

k0ugs 01-13-2007 08:36 AM

Anyone have Netflix? If so, does this show up on DVDs you can add to your que?

Nope. The only time I used Netflix was for a free trial subscription.

Nyo 01-13-2007 05:44 PM

I feel bad for those who don't live in the US. The "this item can't be shipped outside the US" thing is annyoing to me, even though I live in the US.

Invader Bloo 01-13-2007 06:34 PM

Me too, but you guys canbuy the DVDs from Ebay. Unlike everything else, DVDs are usually retail price plus nshipping.
