Well, I always thought she was hottest of the scouts and also the most lovable scout. She was a brave, powerful, and faithful friend who always stood up for others.

She always wanted to make others happy with her cooking and I felt so hurt and sorry for her because like her, I've tried so many times to have a romantic relationship only to fail every time. So I can relate. I also felt bad for her because Jupiter got the least "centered episodes" out of all the scouts.

Dude, you pretty much summed up how I feel about her, too. I've always regarded Lita as one of the finest and most decent women I've ever encountered, one of those rare sorts that you want to spend time with for no reason other than the pleasure of her company. As I noted elsewhere I watched her debut episode several hours ago; it took almost no time for all the feelings I ever had for her to come roaring back to life. How could it be otherwise? You don't forget a lady like her, not entirely, not ever. She's someone you want to hold in your arms and whisper "I care about you" to her, and you want to be there for her because you know she'll be there for you. It really boggles the mind that someone of her extraordinary caliber never found someone special. Were it possible for her to express an interest in me I would jump at the chance and never look back. I'm on the verge of writing an epic here so I'd better stop while I'm thinking about it. She's quite inspiring, our miss Lita, quite inspiring indeed, and I'm glad this thread is back so I have a place to say so. :)

DUDE, I had (and have) so many crushes...haha.

Currently have:

Miles "Tails" Prower (Sonic games; so CUTE!)
Daxter the Ottsel (Jak games...I don't even LIKE them! I watch cutscenes on YouTube however.)
RJ (Over the Hedge movie and comic; I like sneaky people/animals.)
Lazlo (Camp Lazlo; so happy-go-lucky)
Mac (Take a wild guess ;) It's very small however)

I used to have one on Buster Bunny (Tiny Toons), but it was small.

No furry flames plz.

I know EXACTLY how you feel, there's nothing more I would like to do then to actually personally show her the real appreciation she SO deserved in that show. She has so many admirable quantities, I would drive 50 miles to meet someone like her. It's that kind of a quality that is worth going the distance for.

Don't worry about "writing an epic about Lita", that's exactly what this thread is for :-*. You got every right to say how much or little you feel towards a character. Funny you should mention Tiny Toons Nyo because another of my crush is that sweet, purple little stinker herself, Fifi La Fume.

Much like Lita, I always felt so sad for her because she is genuinely searching for true love and she's a very affectionate person. She's not as psychotic or stalker obsessed as Pepe was, and more often then not you see her crying because she can't find a guy who can stand her scent.

Which is even MORE depressing because she can't help the way she is. I never realized her appeal until I was much older but still, I think Fifi is deserving of a decent guy just like Stella from "Over the hedge". (Another movie you mentioned Nyo and ANOTHER skunk I happen to find to be cute).

cartman414 10-14-2007 05:26 PM

Feeling the Lita/Mako/Jupiter love here. She can be quite graceful when she wants to be as well.

I'm also partial to Mina(ko)/Venus, because she's light-hearted, funny, and quite beautiful as well, and of course Sailor Moon herself, Serena/Usagi. She may be a flake, but she's a big-hearted one.

I always felt that was the most important thing about Serena/Sailor Moon. I think a lot of people (both in and out of the show) look down on Moon because she's clumsy and a ditz at times. But deep down, she is a very good hearted person and i think that's a far more important trait to have then training.

She has a pure heart and she's not insulting of other people (except Raye), she's not perfect but peace wise, I'd say she's just about right. Same with like Raven from Teen Titans. She may act like the spawn of Satan (actually in a way she is) and she gives everyone the cold shoulder, deep down she really does mean well.

One toon crush i always felt weird about is Nadia from Secret of the blue water anime. It doesn't bother me that she's black, I still find her quite attractive but what I felt weird about is that she is a good person deep down: she kept going about it all the wrong ways. She was very moody and pushy.

She often forced her own ways and beliefs on others and for someone who has a love of nature and life itself, I found that to be quite discomforting. I'm glad she mellowed out in the end, but still it's sad to see such beautiful characters resort to such distasteful and heartbreaking behavior.

Like Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion, she's considered like one of the hottest anime girls EVER! And yet, I am totally appalled by her rude and snobby witch like behavior. That's why toon girls are more likable then say RL ones in TV shows and movies, most toons have good, honorable qualities.

They don't use or abuse the opposite sex for shallow or greedy purposes, Gadget from rescue Rangers would sure as hell never do anything like that, same with Frankie.

jekylljuice 10-15-2007 10:14 AM

Do you really want to know my cartoon crushes? Okay, I'll tell you, but you'll probably regret it...

Foster’s seems the most appropriate place to start. I share a good percentage of other NF members’ love for Wilt, who is a truly delightful soul; chivalrous and enigmatic as well as greatly pleasing to the eye - basically, a multitude of things which are being echoed about him all over the web, and with fine cause. But as most of you should have picked up by now I also have this (some would call “peculiar”) thing for Kip Snip. Well, is there really anything wrong with that? He’s slimy, deceitful and, in my eyes, absolutely awesome. There’s nothing more entrancing than an enjoyable villain (seriously, it can be a highly attractive quality in itself), and there’s something about Kip’s shamelessly underhanded manner that I find extremely alluring (on top of which, I have infinite respect for any guy who isn‘t afraid to wear pink). So shoot me, I like him. I’ve liked him ever since my first viewing of “the Sweet Stench of Success”, though I must admit that becoming more involved in the online Foster’s grapevine seems to have increased my fondness and solidarity toward him all the more, to the point where it’s even come to overshadow my Wilt-adoration. I guess because while, as I stated, affection for Wilt is clearly in no short supply, Kip just seems so unloved and alone, the poor dear. Kip Snip fangirl-ism desperately needs a voice, and I’m only too happy for that voice to be mine. True, it’s perfectly possible (even probable) that I’m the only Kip fangirl out there, in which case I would argue that it’s all the more important that I speak up and let this glib producer’s many pleasing qualities be known. Love ya, Kippy! :berry:

It’s certainly gratifying to see from the words of the original poster, Emma, that I’m not the only girl out there with feelings for Sideshow Bob of Simpsons infamy - Kelsey Grammar has indeed been blessed with the most sensuous vocal chords in the world, no doubt about it. I can’t think of anyone who could have provided Mr. Terwilliger with a more powerful, enlivening and sympathetic portrayal than did he - to me, the man has oodles more charm and splendour than the rest of that jaundiced populace put together. Except maybe his brother Cecil. David Hyde Pierce has a very beautiful voice too. Oh, and I love Waylon Smithers a whole lot too. He is adorable.

I was very recently introduced by my housemate to an anime series called Weiß Kreuz, or Knight Hunters:Weiß Kreuz, as it's known in its English dub - admittedly, a good portion of our enjoyment of this series does arise from how risible the animation quality has a tendency to be, but every so often it can throw up interesting characters and scenarios, and I do find myself ever-so-slightly taken with the villainous Schuldig (perhaps ironically, since the prospect of having my mind read used to terrify me well into my late teens). Maybe it has something to do with that evil smirk he flashes in the original opening sequence - I've always been a total sucker for a well-formed evil grin. Of the good guys, I suppose I do have an inkling of a soft spot for Yoji, largely because I was impressed by a flower trick he pulled off in an early-ish episode.

You'll be glad to know that that's all I can think of. I think I've made you people cringe enough.

Can I really say without having the police after me? XD

http://www.media.rai.it/MediaPortale...20Robinson.jpg

Wilbur Robinson from Meet The Robinsons... I am OBSESSED with him and that cowlick of his. But he's 13 and I'm 21! I disgust myself 8D But I can't help it, I easily fall for slim boys with sleek black hair

http://www.animationartconservation....odel_sheet.jpg
(I chose to post the model sheet for a reason, it inspires me =D)

The second is more my age XD Kuzco from The Emperor's New Groove (at least he's 18! ...Or 19 in the series), my all-time favorite Disney Movie (MtR being second runner up!) ..again the slim boy with black sleek hair (plus sporting a delicious tan)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...e_Platypus.jpg

The third is... a little weird. Edward Platypus from Camp lazlo. I know. He's a PLATYPUS. But a delicious one at that! D: Not slim and black haired though, gaspeth XD

Nyo 10-17-2007 01:44 PM

Don't worry about the Ed crush there Zeit, I have a small crush on Lazlo himself xD I luff the little guy because he's so happy-go-lucky...I wish I was more like that.

Then I will tell you a tale, son!

Last tuesday (a week ago) I got my kitten, he was 7 weeks and 3 days... and I named him LAZLO after Lazlo on Camp Lazlo  I got a friend who broke down in tears of laughter because I named him after a monkey

The most fun I have during the day is watching CL on Cartoon with my cat, singing along the themesong like the escaped mental patient that I am

Aw, what a precious furry baby you've got there Z! I love cats. :berry: Kind of off topic, but did you know Keith Ferguson has a cat named Lazlo? He's a Malaysian breed I believe. Cute as a button. :nyah:

Back on topic, another slight animated crush of mine is Miguel from Maya and Miguel. He's just so level headed and good mannered and polite. And athletic. I've always been keen on the athletes. And also the dark haired. ;)

Zeitgheist 10-18-2007 03:10 AM

Lynnie: oh em gee XD I had NO idea, actually! wow, so my cat has FHFIF connections too <3 sweet

Dragonrider1227 10-18-2007 11:25 AM

Okay, I changed my avatar so now I have to actually say who my crushes are before people think i'm a pedophile 8D
Jenny from My life as a Teenage Robot
Gadget from Rescue Rangers
Frankie from Fosters
Sally from Sonic the Hedgehog
Krystal from Starfox Adventures
Misty from Pokemon

Mayor Adam West 10-19-2007 12:06 AM

Raven and Starfire - Teen Titans

Frankie and Berry - Foster's Home

Patsy - Camp Lazlo (Sure, she's a squirrel, but still, she's the cuttest of them all)

Hmm, yeah, that's all really from the top of my head, I mean, I think there are others, but I just can't think of them all right now....

frankie_fan 10-28-2007 07:34 PM

I mentioned before that mine are more favourites than crushes, but I thought I'd post them for the hell of it:

Frankie - Do I really need to point this one out?

Raven (Teen Titans) - There's something about supernatural girls and the clothes they wear. Raven is no exception.

Blossom (The Powerpuff Girls) - Anyone who believes in the American way, and dress (and looks) well gets my vote!

Misty (Pokemon) - My first crush. She's just a great friend, and funny when angry. ('I'm just as tough as you three! Now, are we gonna play, or are we gonna play?!?' 8D)

Jenny (My Life as a Teenage Robot) - She's Inspector Gadget for the teen age, and a great fighter.

Gwen (Ben 10) - Mr M's gonna kill me for this, I know it. :( Anyway, she gets me because she's not the typical stay-inside-and-be-safe character. She's willing to help out, even if she needs to kick some ass!!

Ami (Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi) - She's definately the cutest character I've ever come across.

Atomic Betty - A redhead who can kick butt and sill retain her self image at the same time!

That's right! I was told that he was a particular Ragdoll breed, if I'm not mistaken. :bloosmirk: Definitely a nice-looking cat, from what I've seen on the photos.

I totally agree on the Misty thing, she was more or less one of my first toon crushes (my first human one anyway). Now I'm not gonna be mad at you liking Gwen, truth is she seriously is kind of cute looking, she's easy on the eyes as they say.

I like that part of her personality, I just wish she wasn't so easy to bust Ben's chops, I think she does that more then anything else in the show and it gets annoying the first 1000th time you heard the same insult about his brain size or hygiene.

I actually liked Yumi from Puffy, I don't know why but I always seem to have a thing for the tomboys in anime or animation. Yumi I thought was cuter looking and I loved her hairstyle and dark punker outfit.

I have a dislike for Ben 10... but my niece made me watch the future episode when they all get taken 20 years into the future where Ben Ten Thousand rules. And. Wow. Just... wow. Gwen was looking HOT 20 years into the future D: I kind of like her now

Cassini90125 10-29-2007 07:25 AM

I wouldn't call it a crush, but I think this lady is quite enchanting:

http://www.dreamjap.com/image/499.jpg

Her name is Kamichama Karin; I only know her because someone at MTS2 made a Sim out of her. I really like the way her eyes are drawn. There's an article about her on Wikipedia if anyone's curious:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamichama_Karin

Typical story from the "Magical Girl" genre but it looked kind of intriguing to me. Besides, she makes me smile, and that's all I ask of a cartoon. :)

In regards to them, I do actually recall some others too....

Arial - The Little Mermaid

Kim Possible

Kairi - Kingdom Hearts

Sakura - Cardcaptors

Juniper Lee - Life and Times of Juniper Lee (Even though she's 14.....)

And yes, I realise that Patsy is a mongoose and not a squirrel, but either way, it's all good :berry:

Nyo 12-04-2007 12:48 PM

I recently realized I have two more crushes to add to my toon loves. :smed:

I totally love Chowder the Cat/Bear/Bunny hybrid from the show of the same name. He just rocks my socks off so hard, that and I love his personality! :-*

I used to love Timon the Meerkat from TLK, but uh...that faded away. o_o; I kinda perfer Daxter the Ottsel. xD

I just hope I don't get furry flames.

Diamond Duchess 12-04-2007 02:37 PM

Hey, toon love thread! Awesome!

Well, those following a past pattern of wishes I made in the Wish Corruption thread would have some knowledge of my cartoon crushes, but now I have reason to explain some of them. So, here goes...

Larry the Cucumber-He's cute, silly, has a great singing voice, and he's a really nice person (or vegetable).

Wilbur Robinson-Also really cute, but he's got an adventurous spirit and lots of drive. I like that.

Benjamin Tennyson-A brave, snarky, hot kid who'd be fun to be with.

Manny Rivera (aka El Tigre)- He's yummy looking, playful, fearless and loyal. That's nice.

Mac- Since I mentioned him in the wish thread, he might as well be here.
While my like for him is platonic, I still do really like this kid. He is cute, but he's a good friend and a good person.

Jaden Yuki: A sweet, hot, dumb guy that I happen to be emamored with at the moment.

Aand that would be the list of cartoon guys I currently crush on. Yes, the list may be strange, but my likes are kinda strange, so take it or leave it.

I may have forgotten some of my crushes, but the ones listed happen to be the ones at the top of my mind, so that's it.

I'm with DD and Cassini on this one. Love is love, be it cartoon or human. :)

Nathander 12-07-2007 08:53 PM

I admit that I've had only two real cartoon crushes: Lisa Simpson when I was younger, and Meg Griffin from Family Guy when the series started. Other than that, I've never really had any crushes on cartoon characters.

As for falling in love with cartoon characters versus humans, I'm neutral. As far as I'm concerned, true romantic love doesn't really exist, except as a chemical reaction in the brain that fires off, and is used as a code word to "sanitize" what could seem to simply be the uncouth idea of propigation of the species, by convincing people there's such a thing as "romantic" love. :P

I believe in love in general, but I remained unconvinced that there's such a thing as true, or "romantic" love.

You well may be onto something there, Nathander, but as far as I'm concerned the end-result is very much the same. Certain stimuli (ie: Kip) triggers the release of endorphins to my brain, and it leaves me feeling supremely happy. ;D

Needless to say, there's nothing wrong with that.

Mr. Marshmallow 12-08-2007 04:07 PM

I think that's a rather cold description of something that is so wonderful to experience. That's like saying hugs don't feel good, they are just electrical impulses from your body releasing a physical enzyme that creates warmth or something like that. Its a pretty sterile and kind of "dead" way to view things.

Love is a hard thing to determine or to discover but I feel that is what makes it so much more wonderful once it hits you, the ending result is great enough to withstand any kind of obstacle. As of lately, I believe my feelings in regards to toon crushes has grown and not declined, age really hasn't changed that with me.

Specially after re-watching this anime series of mine, featuring one of the most BEAUTIFUL animated females around, Belldandy. The series is called "Ah! My goddess" and any single episode in this series truly is enough (in my opinion) to make you realize the valuable nature of love and how much stronger it is than vanity.

To make a long story short, the show is about a college guy who karma craps on 24/7, his purity comes through as he is given a wish by a goddess called Belldandy from a hotline designed for those "worthy" and by worthy I mean GOOD, decent people. He wishes for the goddess Belldandy to stay by his side as his girlfriend.

She grants it and the series progresses from there. My point is that show always reminds me how important animation is to my life, and how animated females have inspired me to look towards them whenever I am down. Hell, the shows writing constantly circles back to themes of morals and inner beauty.

There are even these 2 evil, asshole human characters who are vain, sexual, shallow people who constantly try and destroy the purity of the love between the main guy and Belldandy and every time they fail. Like the show says "money, height, and good looks do not EVER measure someone's actual worth".

It may sound like school crap you hear on a kids program, but its the truth and I believe it which I why I believe in love and why I still crush on female toons. They represent such an image that is impossible not to admire at least a little. You don't see them often wasting their lives obsessing over drugs, alcohol, or sex.

They are characters who are the kind of people you want to meet and people to be more like. I can't tell you how disgusting it feels sometimes to think so many people base entire judgments or perceptions on you simply because of the size of your wallet or whether your a "McLovin" or not. I don't think toon crushes are wrong in anyway.

They are no different then the athletes or heroes we idolize and admire, they represent something we want to strive for and what others could learn a thing or two from. And if anyone honestly says toons can't be considered attractive or sexy, all I simply ask is "Have you seen Roger Rabbit?" and that's enough said.

If toons couldn't be construed as attractive, Jessica Rabbit would not have been drawn that way neither would Lola Bunny, Foxxy Love, or half the females in the Justice League: Unlimited TV show. Attraction in animation exists and its quite noticeable, just because a girl (or guy) is ink and paper doesn't mean they can't make your heart skip a beat now does it?

Cassini90125 12-08-2007 04:11 PM

Once again, you have written a classic. :) And truly, this sounds like a series that I need to experience.

Wow I have classics :wiltshock: heh just playing :P I do appreciate that and I really would recommend this series to anyone who is feeling down in the dumps about finding "that special someone" or just someone who feels being a nice guy (or girl) doesn't cut the mustard in today's modern world.

If you feel that way, this series is DEFINITELY for you. The relationship between the characters is so pure and loving, it makes you want to be in the show itself just to experience it. It really emphasizes how important it is to be "morally worth something" rather then physically beautiful or loaded with cash or muscles.

Those things are not what are important in life and trust me, loneliness is nothing compared to the pain of living a lie with someone you do not love or loves you for the wrong reasons. This show is another example of why I love TV/movies so much, I learned almost everything i know from anime, cartoons, movies etc.

And I don't regret a SINGLE second of it. I've learned so much I feel I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for the shows and movies I have seen (and of course) the wonderful toon crushes who inspired me to keep looking for Mrs. Right as they say. I think you'd love the show Cass.

Now, I know you meant the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit? as opposed to the CHARACTER Roger Rabbit, but dammit... you know, newspapers and magazines get sued for millions for taking quotes out of context, but how can you expect them to resist doing something so fun? :bloocross:

Good to know you got the reference either way, hey I just figured if Bob Hoskins can jaw drop at the sight of Jessica Rabbit, I'm sure there were quite a few people in the movie theaters who did the exact same thing.

Like the show says "money, height, and good looks do not EVER measure someone's actual worth".

oh dude...thats a show? I'm familiar with the comic and the movie but i didn't know it was a series...cool. I used to read the comic, i was a huge fan of Belldandy and her older sister. What was her name? Skuld or Urd? I remember their names were supposed to be based off of the three Norns in Norse mythology, and there was a lot of Germanic mythological themes in the comica. It was good. I might need to watch them.

Cass i think you'd love it, if the comic was any indication.

That's where the movie came from. Belldandy is the middle child of 2 sisters, also goddesses. The eldest is Urd and the youngest is Skuld, both of them come down to Earth after Belldandy is wished to be at the main character's side (his name is Keichii Morisato).

There are approximately 4 versions of the Goddess show. The movie, a 6 episode OVA short series (which is the first animated form of Goddess), the series I saw (TV series) which is pretty new, and a comedic show called "Adventures of Mini Goddesses". Which is a toony, comedic spin off of sorts.

It has NOTHING to do with any of the other shows or the characters except for the goddesses and its about chibi versions of the goddess girls helping out a rat that lives in the house. Its a very weird little series. There is a sequel to the current TV series I own, and like i said I highly recommend it to all.

I agree completely. Unfortunately, my agreement with you on this doesn't stop me from believing in my idea of it wholeheartedly. After my own experiences with romantic love, and my faith in science and scientific explanation as one of the three tools I live my life around, I'd rather not deal with it ever again.

Love is a hard thing to determine or to discover but I feel that is what makes it so much more wonderful once it hits you, the ending result is great enough to withstand any kind of obstacle.
I've been in love before, or at least had felt myself to have been in such, for a relationship that lasted three years. After it ultimately ended, which occurred, granted, as my own damn fault, I have an especially bitter opinion about romantic love. It is my own honestly belief that I had found the one person I would ever love, and ultimately due to the pressure I was under at the time, I allowed her to leave me. It's a partially hypocritical view, but after experiencing love I simply no longer trust my emotions as having any merit.

Not to say, of course, that your emotions aren't really. To you, they're very much so; I simply choose to distance myself from them, and from developing most kinds of relationships with other people, as much as I can. Something can easily be very real to one person, and false to another.

Have you ever watched/read an anime/manga called Genshiken? There's a conversation between two people, where one character questions how anyone could possibly find a cartoon character attractive. The other basically answers that the human mind is accustomed to finding familiarity and specific things in images, and thus it would be odd for a person not to understand how it would be possible for someone to find a drawn picture attractive, due to the fact that its a simple function of the human mind to find such familiarity with any form of visual aid.

I guess I'm just putting this out there because your remark reminded me of that scene.

On another note, I've never gotten to see "Oh My Goddess!" in any form, and thus suppose I should.

And going back to my hypocrisy, I do tend to harbor crushes on some cartoon characters despite my otherwise bleak image of romantic love. Though I seem to have fairly different views then a lot of the guys here, as I tend to prefer the female characters who are "take charge and take no crap" personalities then the sweet, silent cheerleader type girls. That's not to say I'm not sweet on some of the quiet, shy girls, though some of them are odd versions of that archetype (the main one being Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh). My other main crush/infatuation is Heinkel Wulfe from Hellsing, who falls more squarely under the "take charge" archetype.

Edit: Also under the take charges one would be Gaz Membrane from Invader Zim, who I harbored a crush on when I was younger and have a soft spot for still.
