Threads wander. :) I do love celery, though. One of my favorite celery dishes is where you cut it into matchsticks and braise it in white wine with a little tarragon. Makes a good side dish for chicken. :)

I only discovered recently that people put cream cheese in celery, actually. I thought it was just peanut butter...

We used to have it that way every Thanksgiving, with a little paprika sprinkled on top for color. Very good, but best when chilled.

We've not used cream cheese before, but sometimes we use that EZ cheese stuff in the can. It's ok, but I still prefer peanut butter

My god, Cassini, me thinks you are an expert chef... You know how to prepare everything, it seems!!!

My mom and grandmother think they have failed in bringing me up because given the option, I'd eat steak over green bean and tuna surprise (as they call it).

Hey, they feel better once I eat their baked ziti (we're Italian... can you tell?) without complaining about the ricotta cheese like all of the guys do in my family...

Heh, for some reason the mention of baked ziti gives me some serious Sopranos flashbacks. :bloocross:

My thanks, but really, it's not that hard. All you need is an inspiring recipe, an appetite, and a little time, energy, and patience. :)

Ooo... ziti.... ricotta cheese is yummy. It's just painful to hear the people on TV pornouce it "rih-caw-tah"... AAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Back on the part about celery, it's fairly good with salads because it's crunchy. Spinach is gross when cooked but actualyl quite good raw, and has anyone has swiss chard? It's a weird green thingie-plant that's okay baked in a bread shell with some mozzarella.

I was in one our local bookstores today. I saw this one, thought of my big buddy Eduardo, and just had to buy it:

There's some really good recipes in here. Coincidentally, tomorrow is my shopping day; I leave it to you to guess what's #1 on this week's grocery list. ;)
