I doubt many kids unless they know someone who watches it knows what Zim is.

Who knows. We shall see once Febuary comes around.

YES, Zim DVDs had some pretty awesome stuff...Even two commentaries on some of the episodes! Plus, listening to those guys was just as funny as watching the episode itself. 8D

But yeah. Foster's DVD = OMGILUVUUUUU!!!1!!shiftone!!

Invader Bloo 10-24-2006 02:11 PM

I don't have that one.
The Zim DVD commentaries were funny. "Shnacks!"8D

Still looks sweet to me. :)

I've already recorded every episode but yeah, I'm looking forward to the official disks. Hopefully they'll be splash-ad free. :)

The episodes on the disk should be splash free, but also logo free as well...if not Cartoon Network should expect a lot of angry letters and E-mails.

As if Cartoon Network reads the Email.

Yeah, but that wouldnt stop people from sending them anyways. :P

But yeah, the episodes on the Disk will "not" have all that annoying stuff on there, other wise what would be the point of buying the DVD's.

One Radical Dude 11-13-2006 09:26 PM

Yeah, why buy, if they were to have the splashy stuff and the logo on the screen? :P They won't have that on there, though.

Lauren, if you are reading this message, do you have any new info on the DVD cover? Will it be released in the near future?

lucyrocks73 11-21-2006 11:36 AM

Does anyone have any ideas how the DVD will present the shorts during the end credits? Because I've seen on other season DVDs that the credits aren't always included for every episode.

-Marty :goo:

Voxxyn 11-21-2006 01:00 PM

Ideally, the DVD would have a separate "chapter select" section with all the credits shorts, which you can choose to play either individually or all at the same time from start to finish. And the best part would be that with the black credits screen removed, you'd see the shorts at full resolution and take up the entire screen.

But knowing Cartoon Network, they'll probably exclude them completely just to tick us off.

Howard 11-21-2006 03:33 PM

I do not care how it is packaged, or if there is extras - I will be happy just to see the episodes! Again!

Maybe they could do that as an extra, but they should also have them with the credits as originally (this is for the credit crazy people like me! :bloogrin)

They will be logo bug free. That much I'm certain of.

A whole cover devoted to Goofball would top it.
The DVDs will be ad free, no DVD has ever had ads besides the preveiws.

If you didn't get what I meant, I meant about not including the end credit shorts at all, a Tardball would top it of...to be the worst DVD ever. :x

Update on Cover Art and Release Date

Well, we have a few changes. The cover art is only slightly changed, and the DVD release date has been bumped to a month later (March 7, instead of February 7).

Voxxyn 11-28-2006 01:22 AM

I LOVE the cover layout, and hope that it becomes the theme for the later season set releases. But I think the picture frames should include characters and events that were pivotal for the respective season. Season 1 would have the Scribbles, Berry, "Funny Bunny" Herriman and Red; Season 2 would have Cheese, Bendy, sugar-crazed Mac and Frankie in either of her FMD dresses; and so on.

Of course, this means Goofball would most likely grace the Season 3 cover... :(

Thank you so much for posting this. :bloogrin

I just wish we could have "a Fosters' Christmas miracle" & this set would be available to purchase in December.

It would be a fabbo gift to give or receive as gift! :D

Howard 11-28-2006 10:20 AM

Bumped another month? AAAARGGGHH! I am waiting on pins and needles here!

There's one on eBay as well. They're probably homemade.

One Radical Dude 11-28-2006 12:24 PM

Okay, actually, it looks like March 6, according to many retailers. And it looks like there MAY be Spanish and French dubbed audio. We'll see. :P

 I didn't think Amazon would sell homemade items! EBay, yes, anything goes, but Amazon? I'm suprised! :o

Amazon has a Half.com-like section now, where individuals can sell items. Its probably in there.

Partymember 11-29-2006 01:28 PM

ah. yeah, i didn't buy it anyway. Waiting for the OFFICIAL Fosters stuff. Piracy is very disrespectful. I read an interview w/Frank Frazetta, he said something to the effect that pirating his art was like taking food off of his dinner table. True dat.

I didn't know about the Half.com section. Thanks Sparky.
