I hate how grass looks on my old system but it can't be helped. I'll live with it. As for the dress, it's not the little black classic but I think it's cute and really sweet.

Definitely cute amd sweet - me likey Cass! On her times off, Frankie deserves nothing but the best!

That she does. Just for the record, she doesn't work at Foster's; in fact, she's the only character from Foster's or any other show in the game on my old system. Here she's just a regular schoolgirl with a part-time job as a substitue teacher.

Medikor 10-09-2007 09:22 AM

That is a very good attempt to recreate Frankie's pink dress, Cassini. And being a substitute teacher sounds very much like Frankie. :)

Cassini90125 10-10-2007 04:19 PM

Her lifetime goal is to become Secretary of Education. She'll be heading off to college fairly soon, where she'll be majoring in either Biology or Psychology (probably the latter). I'd start a thread to chronicle her adventures there but I don't think there's enough interest to warrant it.

For the record, everyone, in case I haven't said this before, the clothing you've seen in this thread and elsewhere is not created by me; I'm nowhere near that talented. Most of what you've seen was produced by the highly talented artists at The Sims Resource, a paysite that has paid for itself a dozen times over. Clothes, hair, houses, furnishings, they've got everything there, and it's all great stuff.

TheGreatMegaFanatic 10-10-2007 06:16 PM

Sexy clothes. I wonder if Frankie wears those clothes on the actual show.

Cassini90125 10-12-2007 12:27 AM

What the well-dressed substitute teacher wears to work:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...i90125/TFW.jpg

In this pic our teen dream has just returned home from another long day at Pleasantview Elementary. She's on the phone with Brandon Lillard, who was part of the Welcome Wagon that showed up on Day One and ate half of her food and fouled the bathroom. If you have the game you know him as the guy who wears a kilt. Shortly after this photo was taken, Frankie, exhausted from another long day, took a well-deserved nap before heading out for some recreation. The outfit shown came with the game and is more or less a "uniform", worn by all teen female substitute teachers. Feminine and professional, all in one.

I should write for Vogue. 8D

xxxClaire 10-12-2007 12:18 PM

Yay! Pink! :D Frankie looks great.

8D Definitely.

Little Baby IceCream 10-12-2007 03:14 PM

I love that outfit! It looks sooo good on Frankie too! I think I like it mainly because I love button down shirts and wearing skirts!

Little Baby IceCream :gooblab:

Medikor 10-12-2007 05:58 PM

It really does look like something that Frankie would wear. :D

frankie_fan 10-12-2007 06:59 PM

She looks like a secretary in that outfit. Nice!

This is a picture of what i think Frankie's closet looks like. Her personality concludes that the equasion of the factor equal to the square root of pi, says that she'd have a messy closet, when I do my calculations correctly.

This is based completely on facts.

Wendi 10-12-2007 08:04 PM

Very Precise. I see that your logic here is very accurate, and I cannot argue with you findings.

the colors in Ms. Frances Foster's closet might indicate that she is, indeed, and extrovert. and enjoys being outgoing.

Yes, it does, and here's more proof of that:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...i90125/TFG.jpg

Cozy wool woven in a classic diamond pattern with matching socks, paired with a leather belt and suede boots, this is a perfect outfit for the holiday season. Warm and stylish, this one has "Autumn" written all over it. And then there's this ensemble:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...i90125/TFB.jpg

Multiple shades of blue, combined in a sweater and skirt set with matching blue shoes, all a wonderful contrast to Our Miss Foster's lovely red hair. Great for an evening at one of the local nightclubs, this one really makes my head spin, and as some of you know, blue is my favorite color.

Both outfits from TSR; the blue outfit is by Agent 420, who also created the hair that my adult version of Frankie uses. I found both outfits by accident while looking for wallpaper, said, "Oooo, I've got to download these for Frankie!", and, well, I did, and here they are.

xxxClaire 10-13-2007 07:26 AM

Nice! Those outfits look great! :D

Howard 10-13-2007 10:50 AM

Cass,

Those outfits look awesome on Frankie. The green does bring out her green eyes, and the blue is very nice too! I disagree with Wendi about having loud colors make the person outgoing; I always thought Frankie was more reserved and kind of a social mongoloid (dating as an example). She reserves her outgoing nature only to the friends she keeps.

Little Baby IceCream 10-14-2007 03:10 PM

I really love the shirt on the second outfit! Aqua is my favorite color! I also love th diamond pattern on the first with that belt! Awesoem clothes!

Little Baby IceCream :gooblab:
Go Red Sox!

Lynnie 10-14-2007 07:42 PM

I really like both of these too. Yes, more green= nice! I really like that belt, I like that look for belts, although I'm not able to pull that look off myself very well. I really like the second outfit too, such pretty colors. I especially like that skirt, it almost looks metallic. Cool. ;)

Cassini90125 11-28-2007 02:48 PM

My thanks to all who commented, and to the creators of the outfits, of course.

Since I've been busy trying to get Foster's Valley up and running again I haven't paid as much attention to my old system game as I should, but I do get back to it when I can. Late last week I checked in on teen Frankie and after an hour or so of play, this was the result:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...0125/TFPS1.jpg

She may not be much of a schmoozer but she does keep a tidy house, and she sure knows how to cook. The next day she's off to start classes at the Pleasantview Girls Academy, and I got a shot of her in her spiffy new uniform:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...0125/TFPS2.jpg

A bit too "preppy" for my taste but it still looks pretty dang good on her. After school she got her homework out of the way early, went to her substitute teaching job for three hours, and then it was time to play dress-up and go out for some fun:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...0125/TFPS3.jpg

This pic was taken in her bedroom moments before the taxi arrived. I love the way the metallic blue skirt contrasts with her hair. It's a great outfit for a warm summer evening; it's the middle of winter in Pleasantview right now, but the Sims don't care.

Sounds like you may need to make a SIM of a certain grandma to give her a kindly reminder to bundle up.;)

Howard 11-28-2007 05:37 PM

Awesome work Cass! The outfits are really cool! And Foster's Home should get Good Housekeeping Home of the Year!

Lynnie 11-28-2007 10:17 PM

Congrats to Frankie for getting into private school! I hope she's enjoying it. :)

I like her new uniform, as I'm somewhat of a prep myself. I've never cared for the blazers or ties, thankfully I never had to wear them. But it looks nice on her. I'm partial to the pleated skirt and knee socks. The going-out outfit is nice too, I like that skirt. It looks like satin. And ooooh, such a pretty color of blue!

Cassini90125 12-01-2007 11:37 AM

Yeah, I love that shade of blue; it's the main reason I downloaded the outfit.

And now, the lady in red:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...i90125/FFR.jpg

This one really blew me away when I found it; naturally, I couldn't wait to try it out on her. I think it's almost as spectacular as the lady wearing it.

Howard 12-01-2007 02:00 PM

"...they lady wearing it."

Right on both counts! Frankie looks HAWT in red.

frankie_fan 12-01-2007 04:24 PM

HOLY S...

I'm speechless... for once! :-*

Lynnie 12-01-2007 04:28 PM

That'd be great for a formal evening. I love the fishtail hem (back is longer than the front) and the empire waist line. I'd wear something like it if I could find one (and then afford it). Reds don't usually look good on red heads, but this shade looks great on her.

Cassini90125 01-16-2008 07:23 AM

Another blue outfit:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1.../Bluestars.jpg

A real attention-getter, done with sequins. I'd been working with the Body Shop program all day creating back-up package files, and when I was finished I decided to have some fun. I'm not sure Frankie would ever wear anything like this, and I usually dress her a bit more conservatively, but it does make for a very nice eye-popping change of pace.

Medikor 01-16-2008 11:54 AM

Can that Frankie SIM of yours not make anything look good, Cass? That red dress really goes well with her red hair.:D

Lynnie 01-16-2008 03:35 PM

The color of this new one is beautiful. I'm not too fond of the style though. I think it would have either looked better with a slightly longer fluttery skirt, or shorter sleeves. A super short skirt and super long sleeves just looks too '60s hippie to me. And the '60s have never offered my favorite historical fashions. :P Just MHO.

Sequins are cool though, and the tie-die look is fine. It reminds me of a swirl of blueberries and vanilla yogurt.

I have yet to find anything that doesn't look good on her. I've found plenty of really trashy stuff that I don't plan on trying, though. Some people do strange things with their Sims. :P

A lot of the outfits I try out on her are just for fun, just one-shot items used for show, nothing more. Truth is, it's sometimes hard to figure out exactly what to dress her in; the show hasn't given us a lot of information in that area. Considering the work she does I think she'd generally favor casual outfits, dressing for function rather than appearance, saving the good stuff for an occasional night out. Eventually I'll probably do a "Frankie's Night Out" story in the Foster's Valley thread, if I can decide on a really good outfit for it. In the meantime, I'll keep showing off various ensembles here.

Howard 01-17-2008 01:03 PM

I ain't dead Cass, jus tbusy. I did take the time out to admire the awesome outfits Frankie is in. It is as if she is just on a runway and saying look at this, and poo! another outfit! But they are are great looking ones!

I was running the CAS program to clean out some files; obviously I got distracted. Getting distracted isn't always a bad thing. Four outfits, four completely different looks. I like them all quite a lot, but it's the fourth one that really blows me away.

All outfits courtesy of the creative geniuses at TSR.

Lynnie 01-20-2008 10:19 PM

I like these! Number 3 is very in style right now, both the capris and the wrap-sweater with cuffs at the wrist. I'm seeing them everywhere in catalogs and on the street.

Number 2 makes me picture her shopping at a beach side strip mall.

I love the skirt in number 1, I have one similar to it. It looks whimsy.

And I too like number 4. It'd look great with boots, I think. Can you get shoes separately or do they automatically come with each outfit? Nice finds Cass!

Shoes and boots are unfortunately not a separate item; they're incorporated into the outfit. There's an explanation for that somewhere on the EA Games site but I don't even pretend to fully understand it. :bloocross:

It might be different when the Sims 3 comes out in 2009 but I kind of doubt it, and I don't plan on buying the game anyway.

I was going to send her to Hot Topic (she no longer shops at H&M) for some new outfits but all they have are Cheese shirts. :P

Howard 01-21-2008 06:26 AM

Cass, I really dig outfits three and four. The fourth one is the best of all!

Medikor 01-21-2008 10:24 AM

I particularly like the first one. I'm just used to Frankie in a skirt.:D

xxxClaire 01-22-2008 12:26 PM

These are awesome! :D I really like the 1st and 4th one. I also have a skirt similar to the one in number 1. Mine's just shorter.

Cassini90125 02-21-2008 10:31 PM

Wow, it's been a month since I last added anything new to this thread. Bad me. :nono: 8D

Anyway, while digging around in Body Shop's clothing files I found this outfit. I have no idea who Rikku is, other than that she's a character from Final Fantasy. I liked her outfit, thought Frankie might look good in it, and went from there. So here you have it; Frankie Foster as Rikku, with the surface of Mars as the background:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...125/FF_FFX.jpg

Not bad, if I do say so myself. The temperature on Mars is far too cold for an outfit like this, but the heavy-duty boots are perfect for the rocky terrain and the long hike between craters. :bloocross:

Medikor 02-22-2008 02:04 PM

I never thought of what Frankie would look like dressed as a Final Fantasy character. She looks nice, but I think an outfit more like Terra or Aeris would suit her a little more.:D

Howard 02-23-2008 06:12 PM

I do like the outfit Cass, but I just cannot picture Frankie in FF. She is just too down to earth for something that complex.

Cassini90125 02-23-2008 06:20 PM

I couldn't say one way or the other. Final Fantasy is a name to me but that's all; I know nothing about it.

Lest we forget, there's a teen version of the enchanting miss Foster on my other computer, happily working her way towards college. I originally downloaded this outfit for one of her neighbors but naturally I had to try it on her, too:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...125/TFFCDQ.jpg

The background image is of the Milky Way galaxy. Not really her style, in my opinion, but pretty eye-catching nonetheless. Great for a dance party on a hot summer night.
