I have a lot of favorite theme songs/intros to tv shows. Two of them are Sonic the hedgehog and The X-men intro
not really a song, but I always thought it was cool. Those might have been posted before, but there they are again. I also loved the x-files intro. |
I thought that Eddie Murphy's The PJs (anybody else remember that?) had a pretty good theme tune, courtesy of George Clinton - I always found it very catchy and chantable. It was a really entertaining series, as I remember it, too bad that we don't hear very much about it nowadays. Not even one stinking DVD release, jeez.

I remember that show. I can't say I cared much for the theme one way or the other but the show itself wasn't bad, not bad at all. :)

At the risk of sounding like an utter dorkfish or watever, I'm addicted to the Transformers: Animated theme music.
Normally, the Transformers music kind of holds negative memories for me, because my dad will break out into the theme song from a previous incarnation for little to no reason and not quit for hours. But I love this one for some reason-- action-y and fun and awesome. I suppose me training myself to play on my computer until I hear the part where Prowl comes on-screen, when I look up and then look away when the screen transitions to someone else would add to my love of the theme? :-* |
The new & original Transformers themes are awesome.
Also good are: '90s Iron Man '90s X-Men '60s Spider-Man |
My favorite theme songs are Danny Phantom and Foster
song from the film "friends" isn't bad I can't remember Ben 10 song in english but I heard it in russian and that's was a little bit funny) |
*brushes the dust of the thread*
I just need to mention another favourite theme of mine (I'm listening to it now!): MacGyver My mum and brother used to LOVE that show! |
I've just become addicted to the theme song of the anime Gao Gai Ger. Particularly the GGG Final version with the chorus. :D
|
Oh man, I can't believe that I'd forgotten all about this particular theme song until just now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loUNoy0Qub0 Life has meaning again. :) |
I've not had the pleasure. Perhaps not the very best but it was certainly better than this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR9J2ITspyU See how long how you take it for. Its amazing what passed for entertainment in the 80s . |

*brushes dust yet again!* 8D
Having recently looking through the best theme songs from the classic Warner Bros. animated shows of the 90s, this one stands out for me: Histeria! |
One of my all-time favourite theme tunes has to be the theme from "Only Fools and Horses". That and "Hookey Street" from the end credits.:)
Another couple of tunes that deserve honourable mention are the Friends theme, "I'll Be There For You" and the Cheers theme, "Where Everybody Knows Your Name". |
Ducktales
Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers Darkwing Duck The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Disney rocked in the late '80s/'90s. Now they're horrible, except for Pixar. |
The ICarly theme song.
My girlfriend got me hooked on this show and as "girly" as the theme song sounds, it is extremely addictive and I think its a great song. I love listening to it and I can't stop dancing to it . |
I don't know if anyone ever saw a show from the mid-90's called "Due South"...had quite a pleasant theme tune. :)
|
My choice? Easy. This beautiful piece:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuRkAyRfz_c Itsn't it wonderful! So epic, so stirring, I think I'll have this played at my funeral! |
I have a new theme that I'd like to share. It's an Australian made game show (soon to be made in the US) called Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation, in which three teams of generations (Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y) play games and questions on pop culture. The theme song itself is really catchy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpGO7mV9dsI

I think this forgotten gem deserves some mention. The Legend of Calamity Jane was a great show with a great theme song.

There are many themes I like, but the theme that's been imbedded in my mind since childhood that I still enjoy today is the second theme from the original Bill Cullen-hosted version of The Price Is Right. It was used from 1961 to 1965 (Wikipedia says its title is "A Gift For Giving," but other official sources call it "Window Shopping") and was reused later by two obscure game shows.

Is this it? Sounds catchy.

Well in my mind, i really like fosters intro theme.
I also like the theme intro from ed, edd and eddy and the theme intro from WWE shows (raw and smackdown). |
