I'm really sorry to hear that. Sheesh, you've been having the worst luck lately. :bloosad:

:-X Oi, I'm so sorry, Sparky. The nightmare of what happened to my car in April is still very fresh in my memory. Whenever I pass someone on the side of the road with their hood up, I feel so bad and usually chant "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm soooo sorry!" And I swear, if someone appears to need help, I'm not going to be so shy about pulling over anymore to give them a hand. I empathize way too much to just drive by and let them suffer alone. :bloosad: I really hope everything will be ok, and it won't be too pricey.

Sparky 09-04-2009 08:14 PM

Thanks. Hopefully I'll get my car back tomorrow. When they didn't call me back today I called them minutes before they closed. For some reason two numbers in my phone number had been juxtaposed in their system, which I don't get as they've called me fine before, but whatever. He said it's my spark plugs and wires and the thing misfiring, whatever. A couple hundred dollars or so. -_- At least I have a coupon? $25 off. That's something.

Just spark plugs and wires? That's good. But a couple hundred dollars?? Unless labor is expensive, that doesn't sound right. Getting new spark plugs and spark plug wires is among the things I needed to get for my car a few months ago. I got them myself at an auto part store, cost me $40, and I had my dad install them, which took him maybe 30 minutes. I hope either there's a misunderstanding when it comes to the price, or there is indeed something else wrong that's costing that much, because the spark plugs and wires should definitely be cheaper than that. :macwor:

I'm sure he said something else I don't remember. *shrug* I don't retain much when it comes to cars, what can I say. ;)

Lynnie 09-04-2009 09:57 PM

Yeah, I certainly understand you there, lol. I've learned a lot about cars through the years, but there's always something new that happens that leaves me going "Eh? What's that? What's it do? Why?". And I'm totally clueless. I do enjoy learning about the stuff though. And probably half of the stuff I know about cars, I've learned since April. ;)

And also, I know you have an SUV, not a little 4 cylinder car like mine, but even for an 8 cylinder vehicle, by comparison, I'd still think just the spark plugs and wires would come to no more than maybe $120. But then, I'm sure there's situations I'm not aware of since each make and model is different.

I dunno, whatever else may need to be done, I'm glad it sounds easy and quick enough to where you should get it back in a day or two. Mine took three weeks to get back into working order. Hope everything works out.

I find his behaviour to be completely inexcusable. What a total jackass.

It seems he gets worse every year! Taylor Swift did not need that crud!:frankiemad:

I am not surprised by behavior as this came from the same man who used his time on a Hurricane Katrina aide special to make a really outlandish political statement.

That's what happens when you let your ego take the wheel and drive your brain off of the proverbial cliff.

I feel so bad for Taylor Swift. What Kanye did was completely unnecessary.::)
