Now C'MON, doesn't ANYBODY think that his rival there looks like he came straight out of the "Yellow Submarine"?? LOL I absolutely love his design, and can't wait to see what his name is rather than calling him "basketball-head dude" all the time. 8D Interestingly enough, I had some ideas swimming around in my head about doing a fan-fic solely based on pictures like these, imagining what the scenario is and what exactly is happening. (Besides an actual basketball game, duh.) I gave the 60s-looking dude the name "Jackson Pride". Don't know why, but it seems to suit him well or something. Or that even the gang he is involved in, if there is indeed one at all, could be named that as a title. Like it? :) ps- Okay after looking at him and the way he's drawn, I am CONVINCED this rather strange Imaginary was designed as a direct nod to the Beatles' animated movie. He HAS to be, it reminds me of it in every way! (Lauren if you're reading this, could you let me know? Pweeeeease??? lol) |
Another shot, this one without Wilt (gasp!):

Yes, that defenatly looks like Wilt Chamberlain's basketball uniform that the "Basketball Dude" is wearing. Has anyone noticed it looks like Wilt stole the ball?
My question is, how does Wilt get inolved back in that "gangsta" scene, that is if he and they used to be rivals? We all know that Wilt is the type to avoid all conflict whatsoever, I'm wondering how he get's in to this; and I also have just a simple little theory. It was way back in the day when Wilt used to be involved in his "gang" scene. He used to have two arms then plus two good eyes. Now, he either made a bet with the the gangsters and lost, or got snitched somehow-either way, they beat him up and tore off his arm and broke his eye. Well, now that Wilt has run away and is back out in the rough, ugly, hood, he runs across his gang scene again. He remembers what they did to him, and wants to avoid them, but they start making fun of his "disabilaties", saying stuff like, "I bet you can't nothin' with one arm and that broken eye!". Okay, you know how Wilt acted like he was gonna kill Bloo when Bloo said, "How's the weather up there?"? If it were me, I'd be even angrier about someone making fun of my-what they call "disabilaties". So, that ticks Wilt off a little bit and he shows them "Who can play". |

Wilt APPEARS to be very non-confrontational NOW, but that does not mean he was always like that. We've seen that he does have a highly competitive streak in him, and it would not be surprising to find out that in the past, Wilt tended to have a bit more of a chip on his shoulder when it came to conflicts and someone dissin' him. Much of his current nature could very well be the result of emotional trauma he experienced along with his physical injuries, and feeling that he needs to attone for something by being so nice and helpful to people. In the longer online trailer, Wilt also tells Bloo, who catches him leaving the house, that "I've done something really terrible, and I need to set it straight", and that does reinforce that Wilt was involved in SOMETHING illegal or just plain bad in his past, and was not as nice a person as we see now. pitbulllady |
