Last night I had a dream about a young child's Harry Potter train set. These little kids called Crookshanks "Africa" and Hermione "Galadriel". Also Harry popped up from a compartment with smoke coming out. The trio were in chibi form and Hagrid was a foot tall. The train came out of Crookshanks mouth for some reason.

LOL GTL that reminds me of some of the messed up dreams I have!
I always have dreams that I see ghosts. I had a dream the other night that I woke up, and I was in my bed, but the light in the room adjacent to mine was on, and I heard shuffling and rustling and footsteps in there. I was kinda freaked out because my room is set up weird - in order to get downstairs, I have to walk through my room and that room. I somehow KNEW that it was a ghost in there. I walked up to the passageway that leads from my room to the other room, being sure to make as much noise as possible to maybe scare it off before I got there. The noises quit when I got right up on the room, and whenever I finally worked up enough nerve to peek in, what I saw made me immediately not frightened anymore. It was a male about my age (18), curled up in the fetal position on the floor looking terrified. I walked up to him because he looked like he needed help, and I asked him what was the matter. He wouldn't tell me, but he kept shaking and started crying and hugging me. He never told me what was wrong, but I think I did some good because while I was hugging him, he eventually stopped crying. Whatever it was, something upset him in the worst of ways. I've always heard of people seeing ghosts in their dreams that turn out to be real ghosts of real people... hopefully this one was just my imagination, not necessarily because I'd be scared, but I'd hate to not be able to help someone who is in that much emotional turmoil for eternity. It started out to be a scary dream, but it ended up being rather sad. |
I am an aviation enthusiast (I did take lessons and had some few hours in the Cessna 172). But I have dreams where planes fall out of the sky. Here is one of them:
A friend and myself were riding our bicycles in a neighborhood. I think it is in AZ (despite seeing all the trees along the street). We are near an airport, and I see a DC-9 (an older twin jet engined near the T-tail) airliner either on final or taking off (I don't remember). We stop to watch it, and all of the sudden we hear the engines wind down. The airplane goes into a nose-down plunge. Even though we are more than a mile from the plane, we duck behind a brick wall. We hear a terrific explsion and we still get hit with metal fragments. We look and see larger sections of the aircraft rolling in the street. I look down, and I see a human hand. Then I woke up...:wiltshock: |
I had a dream that a T-Rex picked a person up with its mouth and chewed 'em up. I saw everything... *blajdlkguais*

Random dreams
Anyone had any random dreams/nightmares lately, either during sleep or daydreaming? I recently had one where I was at a Deftones gig, which of course, was packed full of people, yet I only felt aware of the girl next to me. The band were playing 'Bored' from their first album, and just as it came to the last minute or so of the song, Chino Moreno, the Deftones' singer, thrust the mic into my face and got me to scream the last part of the song. Then, the band invited everyone onto the stage, and for some reason my laptop was on a table on the stage. Then the Deftones gave everyone green pieces of paper, saying that they would play a gig in each person's local area. My piece of paper said that they would play in Bishop Auckland. And that was that.
Random, I know...kind of wish it had been true, too:) |
A few weeks ago, I had a dream that I was climbing a 100-story building via the stairs. When I got to the top, I got to this... bizzare futuristic hideout complex where people lived as outcasts. Among them was the Daniel Craig portrayal of James Bond... :wiltshock:

I have so many random dreams it's not funny. A recent one that particularly comes to mind involved me being attacked by millions of flying toe nail clippers which proceeded to nip off little tiny bits of my skin from all over my body. Fortunately I woke up before they were able to make too much of a dent in me.
I'm sure there are plenty more I could add if I remembered them, but they do all seem to start merging into one after a while. That's how dreams generally are. The only ones that really stand out for me in the long run are those that were especially scary or distressing, for whatever reason. |

If Disneyland is a place where my dreams come true, then I don't want to go.
Oh, I love recounting dreams to people; it's difficult to keep the details from slipping away in those crucial 30 seconds just after you wake up, but if you can remember them they make for great stories. :D
It's weird...I hear about and speak to a lot of people who have really meaningful, psychologically symbolic dreams, where their fears or fantasies take shape and tell them things about their subconscious that they might never have even realised were true...whereas I just dream a bunch of bizarre stream-of-consciousness gibberish that usually rips off whatever TV show or movie I happened to have been watching. My recent dreams, for example, have regularly frequented by the cast of Scrubs; I think I was Turk in one of them. I seem to be dreaming about Carla, mostly (but not in that way, you understand :P); one time she was part of the crew of the spaceship I was on (?), the other time she was running a book shop with Dr. Kelso, and I was trying to buy Scrubs DVDs off them. I would like to take this simply as a sign that I should, uh, lay off the Scrubs a bit, but then the dream ended with me being presented a complete Sex and the City boxset by Charlie Chaplin. ??? And I have no idea where that came from. And then there was the dream I had last week, where my brother was The Queen of England...oh man, don't even ask how that one worked. I need some counselling, I think. :( |

A few weeks ago, I dreamt that I went to a Muse concert. Halfway through the first song, however, things went bezerk; the lighting and pyrotechnics exploded, brawls ensued and all of the band members vanished. I left the venue and went back home -- and I see Matt Bellamy(singer and lead member) waiting in the front garden. We suddenly interact with each other as if we were familiar friends. We decide to go to the supermarket, eat from cereal boxes without paying for them, get scolded harshly by an angry-looking ghost of Ginny Weasley, and then she decides to join us as we head back to the concert venue. This time, we have backstage VIP passes to U2, whom for some reason were doing covers of Ricky Martin songs. I woke up shortly afterwards. IMO, the really strange part was that it had absolutely nothing to do with Frankie or Goofball... in real life, I can't think about concerts without thinking about that episode... :frankiemad: |
My dreams involve crashing airplanes and death;:wiltshock: I think I am the one that needs therapy!8D

Dearie me. What a strange bunch we are. Why can't we have dreams in which we wake up in the middle of our classes wearing nothing but our underwear, like any normal person? :-X
|
Alright, i had a dream i caught 5 big old Catfish in a row, then somehow i got to my neighbors house and he's a vampire (his old lady's a werewolf) and i ended up chasing him through a snow tunnel driving a Silverado against his F-250. I then went to the car dealership and told them NEVER TO SELL FORD'S TO VAMPIRES!

that's awesome partymember
The most recent dream I've had came as a result of school drama and me eating pickle before bed. I had a dream that my ex decided to profess his love for me in the middle of the student ridden ultra quiet library. I just got really embaressed and told him to shut up and everyone just laughed. That's actually the most normal dream I've had in awhile...usually mine are about playing cellos in the middle of a hallway and attacking people with mario coins. |

I'm always a flapper in my dreams. They're all horribly inappropriate for this forum, but yeah, it's weird. My subconscious thinks I'm a flapper. XD They're not even set in the 20s half the time. I'll be a flapper like, running around in a rocketship with Ashton Kutcher.

I had an Aliens-related dream last night. My friends and I had captured a facehugger and had to go to this library (the inside of which bore an uncanny resemblance to the one located within my old secondary school) to figure out how to dispose of it safely, and then complete several other tasks to prevent Earth from being stormed by a potential xenomorph invasion, though I personally was far more concerned with calling my parents to secure a lift home. Needless to say, we accidentally let the facehugger escape, and all of humankind was doomed. And I never actually got that lift home either, because the next thing I knew I was stuck on a coach heading in completely the wrong direction. Yeah, it was one of those dreams where you never seem to be able to catch a break for long. I have them all the time, unfortunately.

Nice to know I'm not the only person in the world who doesn't have those normal dreams of being in public in your underwear or falling.
I have this recurring dream that I think may mean something. I constantly end up in public places (like at school, the mall, etc.) without shoes on. I don't understand that. I'm not afraid of not wearing shoes:P I don't know. |
I had one of the most petrifying dreams I've had in ages last night...basically, I'd flashbacked to an alternate last Monday in which I hadn't completed my big essays in time. Terrible. The sweat I woke up in was cold indeed. :wiltshock:

I had a dream about my teeth falling out and me shoving them back into the gumms and pretending like I was fine
it was sooo weird |
When I had my wisdom teeth pulled I was screaming to have them put back as soon as the painkillers wore off. Not a happy experience. :P
|
I have a recurring dream that I am at an amusement park, and all of the rides are dilapidated and broken down, yet people are still being allowed to ride them. I always point out how rickety and unsafe they are, but nobody seems to care and I get drug onto them anyhow. I've seriously been having this dream for YEARS, and I don't know what it means. I never had a terrible experience with roller coasters... I mean, when I was little, my mom would drag me on them because she wanted me to get over my fear of them, but I'd hardly call that terrible. I absolutely love them now, thanks to her, but still the feeling of putting my life solely in the "hands" of a bunch of metal, computers, wires, and hydraulics is pretty frightening to me.
Also, jekylljuice, I have those terrifyng "late schoolwork" dreams, too!! I had one not too long ago that my history final was scheduled two days early and I never studied for it. I woke up in such a nervous mood! |
I had one weird dream last night, where, for no reason whatsoever, I kept imagining an impish-like character going down a seemingly broken down factory, fixing pipes and looking at people in bizarre jail cells.
I'm still wondering what was the point of that dream. |
I dreamt last night that I was in my mom and dad's house. I believe that it's haunted, so the dream I had kind of fell into that. I dreamt that the lights were on really dim and I was waiting for my mom to show up to give me something. I was alone in the house, and I heard a hair dryer turn on upstairs. I got kind of freaked until I saw my mom walking down the stairs, even though I knew I was waiting on her to get home, I thought "Well maybe she got home and came in through the balcony?" I said hi, but when she turned around, it wasn't my mom! It was a ghost woman! I asked her if she was the one that turned on the hair dryer, and she said "No, I'm the one that usually turns it off. My FRIEND is the one that turns it on because she thinks she needs to be beautiful."
It was weird. |

The while back I had a dream that I was a little kid again, and one of my childhood friends came over, and added a bunch of the tables thay had at the schools to my room. (Right after rearranging my furniture, and throwing some of it out the window :P) My mom came in (not as she looked in my childhood days, as she does now) and said something. Suddenly this HUGE red and Black spider appears on one of the new tables out of the corner of my eye, and I tell my mom to kill it with toilet paper. (so naive) Suddenly, my mom puts her hand on top of it and lifts her hand up, unenthusiasticly stating, "ow." I gawk, and my mom sticks out her tongue, to reveal it's bleeding! I'm like, "WHAT THE HELL?!" And then I run off to find something to... swab her tongue with... :P Yes.... I have no idea where that came from, but tell me if they ever find a spider that gives your tongue a disease. |
I recently had a really cool dream. Actually one of my favourites.
So the dream starts off with me sitting on my bed. My dad walks in the room. He says "Happy birthday Claire!!!" and I say "Thanks dad, but my birthday was 5 months ago." then he says "Oh well. Everyday should be your birthday! Besides, I love giving things." and then I say "Alright then." Then he hands me 3 guitars that he apparently made himself. (For those who are interested, there was 1 brown electric guitar, one blue and white electric, and one brown accoustic.) So I said "Oh! Thanks so much dad!" I started playing the guitars, and the brown electric guitar ended up being my favourite for some reason. Anyway, I was playing the brown electric while walking down my street. Then, some approached me and said "Hey! You're really good at playing guitar! Do you want to be in my band?" so I said "Sure! What's your band called?" and the guy says "Bon Jovi!" so I'm like "Awesome!!!" Then the next thing I know, I'm at a concert in front of millions of people rocking out! It was really cool! 8D 8-) |
Woah! That's the best! 8D

I had the FUNNIEST dream last night, it went something like this... *whips out the paper I wrote it down on*
Okay, so I was just talking to some lady, and then some flashing star starting bouncing around. I ran into it, and starting flashing colors. I ran off, and ran through a Super Mario Brose course, knocking enemies away as if I was invincible. So, I jumped of some high thing, hit the ground, and was in the chat room. (This dream switched around a lot). In the chatroom were ORD and Bloo(It was the SigmaChat). So the conversation went like this: [ORD]: Something cool happened [Bloo]: Yeah, that's why we're wearing sunglasses. [Bloo2daMacs]: Cool. Then I ran off. At this point I think I was half awake. In the background of where I was running from, ORD and Bloo were wearing sunglasses, their arms folded, their backs to each other. So anywho, I was running off to a lake (as a different video game character now, I can't remember who)for some reason, and I first crashed into a tree. I backed up, and replaced my glasses with sunglasses, then kept running. I got to the lake, and there was a list of board members and things generally discussed on the forum, as his family members. All I remember of the list is the I was his cousin, and the chicken candy was one of his relatives too. So now I randomly appeared in the chatroom, and a conversation went on without me. I didn't see it exactly (because I was waking up at the moment that scene occured) but I *think* it went something like this: [Bloo]: Something cool happened. [ORD]: Yeah, so now you're my sister. [A Sister]: Is that why you're wearing sunglasses? Yes, her name was "A Sister". Isn't that really weird?! |

This probably will interest the gals more than the guys, but one of the most awesome dreams I remember was when I was at academy and I drempt I was a mermaid. I "lived" in an ancient Greece type sunken city, so there were bulidings to swim in and out of. There was also a mirror, and I looked at myself in it, and the cool thing is, it all felt so real. I could "feel" myself breathing the water. I could "feel" my tail/fins, as if it was actually my spine, not my legs. I could feel the coolness of the water, and even currents. It was just so real. I still think it was the most awesome dream I've ever had. It's just that it was so.... REAL!! :bloosmirk:
A few weeks ago I had a Foster's themed dream, where I drempt I had a cold and Wilt owned a house, and he was taking care of me. I remember him giving me a blanket and a cup of tea. Mac and Bloo showed up at the door Trick-or-Treating, and they came into the house too. I don't remember why, but Wilt eventually threw Bloo out a window and the wind blew him away a lot like the vacuum blew him away in "Bloooo". It was really weird, but it was cool because it was the first (and so far, only) Foster's themed dream I ever had. :) |
I had to bring this thread back to life because I just feel the need to share the dream I had last night. I don't have dreams as often as I use to. It was another one of those that felt so real, and it was eerie!
In my home state, we have many snow capped mountains, and the biggest of them is Mt. Rainier. The area around it is a National Park. Of course I've been there many times. Beautiful place to say the least. :bloosmirk: Anyway, I drempt that my family and some family friends were at Mt. Rainier National Park like we've been many times before, and we were taking a nice hike through the wilderness. We hiked out of the forest and into a meadow where we could see the majestic mountain much more clearly. There were plenty of "ooooh"s and "aaaah"s at the mountain's beauty, when we all heard a very low rumble. We couldn't tell where the noise was coming from. I looked around trying to figure out the direction it was coming, and it seemed it was coming from the valley opposite the mountain. We didn't think much of it, it must have been a landslide or something across the valley. So we kept walking, and heard the deep rumble again. We all stopped a second time to listen and try to figure out where it was coming from. I looked at the mountain, and it didn't sound like the noise was coming from the mountain, so yeah, it had to be somewhere across the valley. But I kept looking at the mountain suspiciously. After watching it for a minute or so I could see that with every deep rumble we heard (we never felt anything), I could see some of the rocks on the mountain vibrate, and at one moment a rock broke off the mountain's side and rolled down the side, kicking up more rocks and dust. My mom and I watched the landslide roll down the side and over the trail where we had just hiked moments before, and then looked at eachother and asked "Do you think she's going to erupt??" We were getting nervous now, and just stood there, deciding if we should not worry too much about it and continue on our hike or head back to the car. While we were all trying to decide, I started hearing water running, which was weird because there was no stream or river nearby. So I looked around some more, and again looked at the mountain. All the snow was melting! And it was swiftly running down the mountain's sides. Knowing this is much like what happened right before Mt. St. Helen's exploded 29 years ago, I yelled at everyone to run to the cars NOW! So we started running, and the water caught up to us. It wasn't real deep, but it was messy and hard to run through as it was still moving fast and we couldn't see rocks and roots to trip over. Right as we made it down to the parking area, the mountain's top blew, and a magnificent cloud of ash filled the sky. We all watched in horror and then... I woke up. :o |
Whoa... :o
That's kind of scary... :macwor: |
Yes it was. :macwor: It was so real, but I think I was too much in shock to find it terrifying, otherwise I would have put this in the "Nightmares" thread. It made me wonder if that's how I'll feel if Rainier really blew. :blooconf: One thing I do know though, with how much I absolutely adore that mountain, if she ever blew, once the shock wore off I'd cry as if a close friend had just died. I'd be very much shaken up over it.
