I haven't read the most recent posts here yet, so forgive things that have been mentioned before. ;) But I LOVED it! Again, again!!! *rewinds DVR* Yaaayy!!
Was it just me, or did they show the intro twice? First time the entire intro, second time it was the shortened one. At first I thought it was part of the episode and the intro would be interrupted or something. I'm kind of sad not to see Mac at all. I hope Sean had a good day off. But I was thrilled to see all the other main characters. It was great. Whoooooo, Blooregard on a caffine high! Yeah, that looks about right. As long as it wasn't Cheese or Goo on the high. Bloo is just outright funny all tripped out. 8D And I blurted out, out loud, "Twenty five dollars for WHAT????" And Mr. H- "These three never do anything wrong unless you make them!" I also take back what I said before about those two new friends reminding me of Twedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. They're more like Beavis and Butthead. :P Or maybe Chip and Skip from Camp Lazlo. We see the return of a Deo stick! Good, Blooregard does all that work to work off all the damage he did. Looks like the Hotel and all its inhabitants survived. That much is good. I totally saw the Herriman costume thing coming within a few seconds. I also saw the hand buzzer coming. Painfully saw it coming. And at the end, don't want to give too much away yet, but I was practically on the floor laughing, and I clapped my hands and cheered. That was brilliant! Eh hem. Ok, and now I must finish watching it the second time. So if you'll kindly excuse me... |
They sure did do both openings, Lynnie. I guess that's the long and short of that. *aviods flying rotten veggies thrown at him*

I thought it was a good episode, but it certainly didn't top the first two of the season, in my opinion. I, too, was a bit disappointed to not see Mac. I was surprised not to see Madame F (was she even in the episode?). I did love the ending, though. It had to be the Wilt-man that was responsible for that prank! "Pranks for Nothing" gets a B-.

Well I certainly enjoyed this more then Mondo Coco (sorry, just didn't like that one). To me, Frick and Frack (or was it Fritt and Fratt? That's what it sounded like Bloo called them) remind me of Dylan from the Magic Roundabout, although I'm sure that's just me, lol. |
Luckily I was able to see this episode before my power went out for the last 2 hours or so. To be honest, I was kind of satisfied and kind of disappointed at the same time. This episode was......okay, it was average but nothing superbly fantastic or bad about it if you ask me.
There's wasn't much here except Bloo just repeating the same prank bit over and over. However I did enjoy VERY MUCH SO, the dumb ass twins Frit and Frat or whatever they are called, and the "surprise" prankster from the very end. It was a clever twist and one I felt was well needed (and deserved!) for the character. I was kind of upset we didn't see what the other IFs, Frankie, and Madame Foster were doing while they were in the hotel. My favorite part has to be Bloo on coffee, that's gotta be a new rule breaking record to do EVERYTHING bad in less then a minute. I didn't feel sorry for Bloo in the least bit when Mr. Herriman locked him up. Considering the fact Bloo has always screwed Wilt, Coco, and Eduardo over many times without even wanting to get involved, he so had it coming this time. Overall, decent episode, average. |
Another great episode! I enjoyed that ending a lot, hehehehe. :D But yeah, overall, brilliant.

The twin IF's reminded me more of Beavis and Butthead, too, just more "clean". The way that they kept pulling Bloo's pranks on THEMSELVES, and laughing about it, and the way that they thought it was hilarious when they got tied up and forced to wear a Mr. Herriman costume, was straight out of a "Beavis and Butthead" episode! When Bloo was going on his rant about how he was being penalized for something he didn't do, I TOTALLY expected one of them to start going, "huh..huh...huh...he said 'PENAL'...huh...huh...huh"! Guess that would have made the comparison a bit TOO obvious, though! That ending, though...now THAT was a classic! That alone would have made this episode one of my all-time favorites, and like you, I was literally clapping and cheering and jumping up out of my seat! I almost forgot to change the channel for a brand-new episode of "CSI", it was so great! pitbulllady |
Overall good, but there was lots of potential in there that I wasn't sure was realized. However the episode is still one of the best ever for the ending. I had a hunch all along, Coco seemed like a scape goat. I fell on the floor laughing when that sly grin rolled across his face. Also Bloo's caffiene high was great. I would love to get him and Mac together when Bloo is on coffee and Mac is on sugar, the house might explode but it would be fun to watch. A little bloocentric for my taste (and he's my favorite character!) but overall good episode. Keep em coming!!!

Pretty good laughs to be had out of this episode. My only complaint is that it was a little predictable. But what I didn't predict was that ending. Hahaha, sweet! 8D

Saw it again earlier. Stars, I love my DVD recorder. ;D I think my main problem with the episode is it's one-sided nature, and how Bloo was unable to fight back or get any sort of real satisfaction. I don't much care for themes like that regardless of who the victim is. I think I was expecting something a little more balanced or a general free-for-all, with everyone going a little crazy and getting as good as he/she got. As for Frick & Frack, they were a little annoying, but on the other hand it's always nice to see an homage to Beavis & Butt-Head, and when Bloo got whacked on caffeine, I guess I was hoping to see something like "The Great Blooholio". Not a bad episode, really, just not what I was expecting.

I got the credits gag from someone on TV.com, and it's Blooregard riding the glass elevator up and down making funny faces.

One of the best episodes of the current season.

Well Mac-A-Lacka, it's already up on TV.com, mainly because someone sent the editor a note on that. Then it was OK'd by said editor, and posted there.
Gee, I wonder who'd do such a thing...hmmmmmmm... |

Also made me wish Herriman tripped and fell or something, the cranky ol' codger. |

I wish there would've been at least a few second gag like Mr. Herriman saying that he feels like he forgot to tell someone something, and the it would show Mac at the house saying "I wonder where everybody is". Then Mac would "officially" be in the episode. Even if it was that one line, similar to the ending of "Everyone knows its Bendy". |

Basically speaking, Bloo getting punished for his shenanigans was one thing, but him also getting punished for the prank that was played against him was uncalled for. Then again, I've practically never been a fan of things that end up in the victim getting blamed for the crime. |

Consider it delayed punishment for Squeakerboxxx.

Yay, finally got to see this episode.
It was another solid outing which did it's job entertainment wise (as in it kept me entertained for the whole twenty two minuets), but to be honest it kind of lacked that extra bit of pizazz that would have turned this episode from good to great. I dunno maybe things could have better if the central story (IE the prank war) got to the point where more and more characters get caught in the crossfire and things really start to escalate to the point where the entire house gets involved and the pranks get super elaborate, And we get to see things like double and triple crosses amongst the characters to really build the suspense. I can't say if that would have been better then what we got (IE Bloo tries a prank, beaten to the punch, rinse lather repeat.) but it could have had more oomph. That is to say this episode didn't have it's great moments, which it did, the biggest laughs I got was from Eduardo's drawing (Ed = Sad, Bloo = Loco) and Wilt's criminal mastermind level smile at the end. So all in all, it was enjoyable but could have been much more then what it was. |

Hey, guys, turns out I'm not dead after all!:)
So, this episode. A bit of a dissappointment, really. It seemed to be an idea that looked good in theory but was a little stretched in practice. It's like an episode you'd expect from a show's first season, you know, before the writers have fully gotten it together. A C rating for me, or C-. Well, on to the good parts! Firstly, they gave Coco a good spot in this episode, which was nice. The two new IFs Fritt and Fratt or whatever (noone seems quite sure on their names) were a bit like the episode itself; fine, funny, but not particularly great. Their best lines in fact being their first. And, uh.....Wilt at the end, really. Those are the only real bits that stood out for me. Ah well, there's still plenty more episodes where that one came from before Fosters is over! |
I just downloaded it, because apparently, Cartoon Network over here doesn't like Season Six.
It was, to put it lightly, rubbish. I thought Mondo Coco could have been better (I saw it yesterday), so I was hoping for something really good, or at least good for a few laughs. The beginning was great. I didn't actually notice the absence of Mac and Madame Foster until I read this.. now, Mac would have been a bit awkward to fit in, so that's okay. But no Madame Foster? o_O The new friends were annoying. They kind of reminded me of those twins from Camp Lazlo (seen one or two episodes of it a while ago). I laughed at the gift shop comment, and the pancake thing was funny, but then it just got annoying. I can only stand so much. Oh, and finally, Deodorant appears, and it's not Deo! ..Though, admittedly, Deo-brand Deodorant was in this episode. I got really angry when Coco, Ed and Wilt didn't tell Herriman that they pulled the first prank. Sure, Bloo ordered Room Service (etc), but then again, he /was/ caffeine-high (which was classic). Eduardo's drawing was hilarious. hmm.. I saw the cutout thing coming, too. I was surprised by the costume thing, though. I can't say much that hasn't already been said, so I'll end it here. It was a good episode, but it could have been a lot better. |
Like I think everyone else here, I'm going through some serious major withdrawal. :P So I'm going back to my trusty DVR and watching what's aired of S6 again.
I think I can officially say now that it's "old news" and has had its chance to sink it, that this one isn't one of my favorites. Mac being absent is only one reason. It could have been written better I suppose, and could have been a lot funnier. The pranks are still fun though, so was Bloo's caffeine high, and that ending is still full of win. :D The Mr. Herriman costume was not only predictable within a few seconds, but I found it out of character. I mean, they may be stupid, but Fritt and Fratt were really innocent during the whole thing. Bloo's the one who took advantage of them and set them up. I just can't picture Wilt, Coco and Ed tying them up, gagging them, and forcing them to wear that costume and stand there stiff as a board for however long it took for Bloo to clean the entire hotel. The two laughed about it in the end I guess, but I just can't picture Wilt, Coco and Ed doing that to innocent friends. :wiltshock: |

I figure this is more showing of Wilt's sense of practical humour; like we saw on Nightmare On Wilson Way, with the whole arm-gag thing. Just because Wilt is a nice guy, doesn't mean he's incapable of pulling something like this off.:D
|
Quote:
As for Wilt, we can see he's clearly come up with a fun sense of humor and "fooling" people, as both episodes mentioned involve him pulling pranks on others. But again, tying up innocent imaginary friends, whom we don't even ever see him relate with beforehand, gagging them, making them stand there for however long it was... it's way too mean for something Wilt would do. He was pulling a prank on Bloo, but using and especially "abusing" innocent friends to do so is far from who he is. I could see Bloo doing that to them, in his typical yet lovable self involvement. But knowing Wilt, Coco and Ed are the ones who did that still feels very out of character to me. :blooconf: |
Agreed. It didn't follow that way.
I also thought Herriman was a jerk to lock up Bloo, especially since he'd called it wrong there. Herriman himself deserved to be locked up. |

I just saw this one- I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best episode I have ever seen-some distance from that- but it perhaps lacked something.
Mac is my favorite character, and whist I missed him a bit (and he only had a brief appearance in Mondo-Coco) I didn't mind him missing this one out. He has a much bigger role in the next two episodes (Bloo Tube and Race for Your Life) and they are full of classic Mac moments (and he's seen wearing different clothes, which his fans always like to see). As everyone said, it would have been to hard to fit him into this story- do you some people think that the episode suffered without him? If he was in it, I'd imagine he would try to stop Bloo, but then his naughtier side would appear and he would join him in the pranking. But if that happened, I still don't think he would be necessary. It is said that without Mac, Bloo would properly end up destroying the world. But here, everything he tried failed, so perhaps in this case the world was against him (if you know what I mean). I was predicting (and I don't mean wanting) a major mischief war, and the hotel would be in ruins. What actually happened was the exact opposite! Most real chaos was kept under control, and Bloo actually improved the hotel! No sign of Madame Foster, maybe she was just hidden amongst the crowd on the bus. I especially liked were Bloo accidentally made a replica of Coco during his tantrum in the cleaning cupboard. I also liked when he was explaining his plans to Frit and Frat. They were represented by two light bulbs and a deo- Wilt, Eduardo and Coco were a razor, a perfume bottle and a toilet brush! |
This episode was pretty funny. I liked Frit and Frat, since I have these two cats who remind me of them (my little brother LOVES these guys).
As for the ending... http://mob1218.photobucket.com/album...f?t=1308385605 Sad to see my poor boy was absent :macwor:. Though my theory to why he wasn't in this episode was not just because they wouldn't be in town (I think), but also because he was sick (and couldn't come to the home by default). Man, it's been ages since I last saw this episode. Last time was during the middle school in 2008, which was a really dark time of my life. :'(. I do know, for a fact, that I recorded this episode on it's original airdate (and it works, I checked the tape right after I was done recording), so I should re-watch it. |
I really enjoyed this episode! I like the later half season episodes.
