Sometimes eBay is remarkably fast. Look who arrived in my mailbox today:

Yeah, totally, very much improved! Next time people make toys like these, WATCH the show first and know the details! XD
Anyway, I ate at McDonalds today for dinner, and got the Bloo toy by request. Mom asked if they had Wilt toys, but...They said they didn't even HAVE him YET. We'll keep checking, and/or, since my brother works at McDonalds, have him look out for Wilt toys. :D BTW, if anyone is wondering about what the bloo toy does...read the black box. If anyone already knows this, ignore the spoiler. 8D You twist Bloo's left arm and he quietly vibrates, and is supposed to make wiggily lines. |
I had the opposite problem this evening; the local McDonalds had Wilt but no Bloo. The dullard at the counter told me the next shipment was due tomorrow or Friday, he wasn't sure which. In the meantime I got two double Quarter Pounders with cheese and right now I feel very bloated. :P

Uhg, I feel your pain! I'm NOT a fan of McDonald's food, and I don't have any problems walking in and asking just to buy the toys, and they don't have any problems selling me one, either. Money is money. One bit of advice to those on the lookout for a specific character toy-don't just ask which ones they have, since if I'd relied on that, I never would have gotten my Wilt toy. The woman at the drive-through thought that he was on "Camp Lazlo", so when I asked if they had any Foster's toys, she told me that they didn't. If I hadn't been wearing my Wilt shirt, which she noticed, I'd have left empty-handed. Ask them to show you which toys they have, since they could indeed have the one you're looking for, but the employees just don't know that character. pitbulllady |

I can't believe the improvement just a bit of black paint made. It looks a billion times better, nice job =)

Yeah I got one last night made a special trip to get an Ed and he wasn't there :-/ I was pretty upset but then I saw they had Wilt so I got the Wilt I was pretty excited. Just need to get Bloo too.

The only Foster's characters they have are Wilt and Bloo, to the best of my knowledge. pitbulllady |
Ugh, just my luck -- I went to one of two McDonald's locations in my city, and the one that was still open (and closer to where I work) is NOT doing the CN promotion, according to what I saw on the drive-thru display. If I have time, I'll check the other location the next day.

Whoo! I just went yesterday and got a Bloo! How lucky! 8-)
|
I just stopped by the other location, and even though they only had the Jake Spidermonkey (My Gym Partner's a Monkey) toy, at least the one that's closest to my house is selling the CN toys. I'll check back Monday to try to get Bloo or Wilt.
|
Apparently my family went to McDonald's today while I was at work, and my sister just gave me the Bloo pencil thingy that she got. She's like, "You'll get more use out of this than I will."8D
|
Got 'em, but not before going 0 for 1. :P See, when I went to the older McDonald's that's closer to my house, they sold out the Bloo and Wilt toys (there's the 0 for 1 part). Darn! After getting off of work this evening, I decided to go inside the newer location (nearest to where I work). They did have the toys, and I purchased both the Bloo and Wilt ones. I'd have to agree that these look a bit better than what Burger King had in the spring of 2006.

*sigh* I had a frustrating day. Got up early, did my makeup, got dressed in some of my "finer" clothes, and went to get my driver's license renewed. Only to find out the DMV is closed on Mondays. I did all that for nothing. And now still have the fun of standing in long lines and dealing with the typical turmoil of DMVs to look forward to. Fun fun. ::)
But with this extra time to spare, I went to a Mc's which was near the DMV, hoping to snag one of the Foster's toys. Hungry, I actually ordered a Happy Meal, and asked if I could get the Bloo toy with it. They said "Sure!", and I was a happy camper. But when they gave it to me, it was the "Bull Shark" toy (from Gym Partner), which happens to be blue. I pointed out the mistake, and they said that "the shark" is all they have, and she apologized in thinking that's what I meant when I said "Bloo". Ugh, I don't even watch Gym Partner. Oh well, I figured it might still be a fun toy, so I took it. Later, on my way home I stopped by another Mc's near my complex and tried again. Again, ordered a Happy Meal and requested, this time specifically, the "Blooregard Wacky Writer" toy. The lady said they didn't have those any more, and showed me what they did have. Just so happens the only two toys they had were the Gym Partner toys. Ugh again, but since I already had Bull, I took Jake. She mentioned something about having to get rid of them before they can give away any others. I thought maybe that meant that they had some Foster's toys, but weren't allowed to put them in the Happy Meals until the Gym Partner ones were gone. So I offered to pay extra just for a Foster's toy. But she said again that they didn't have any more. She was actually very nice, and in being sure I understood the situation she explained how it worked. Each toy is marked with a number. The Gym Partner toys were #3 and #4. And there are only two numbers in each shipment of toys. Does anyone remember the numbers on the baggies the Foster's toys were in? Because I'm wondering, if they were out of them, maybe the Foster's ones were #1 and #2, and were in their first shipment. And unfortunately, if the promo says "While supplies last", they probably only get one shipment of each. But then, the numbers may not even matter, especially if they aren't coming in order. Hmm, I just don't know. I'm just thinking I have little chance at finding a Foster's toy now. I waited too long. :herrsleep: |
Yeah. when I visited the McD's closest to my address, all they had was Bull (the shark). I was surprised to find out that the other location had what I was looking for. Huzzah! Your only chance to get the toys is to go to another city with a McDonald's to see if they have them, or to see if someone's selling them off of eBay. Good luck.
|
Yeah, I'm still trying to find Wilt. Tomarrow I'll find out if they have him now. XD

edit: And now that you guys are talking about the toys in the thread that was originally just for talking about the drivethrough sign, I am merging this thread with the toy one. edit #2: I also made the thread title simpler so people will be able to find it if say, they do a search for "Happy Meal" or whatever. |
My experience with McDonald's toys is that they are numbered (I've seen the numbers on the bag) and they start off with #1 and go sequentially up. They will not put out the next numbered toy unless 1) the week (or whatever the promotion periods run) is up or 2) they run out of toys. There was some series of toys my son wanted ("Cars" toys I believe) and they were so popular that the local McD's went through there entire lot of toys in less than 2 weeks. It kind of stinks that if you don't go to McD's almost daily, you can miss out on several of the toys. I got toy #1 and 3 days later when I went again they were already up to #4. I just wonder if they have a policy on how many you can buy without purchasing a Happy Meal, because I see a lot of McD toys on eBay and I think it sux that greedy SOB's deprive kids from getting toys the "right" way just so they can make money.
My experience with Burger King is that they get a whole batch of toys and put out whatever they grab. I have had BK employees digging through the kid's meals bags trying to find particular toys and, thankfully, they don't seem to mind. I even had a manager go to the back and rummage through the additional inventory. So, in my opinion, you have a better chance of getting a particular toy at BK than McD's. Oh, and I guess since this is a forum on Foster's and not fast food toys; Bloo, Mac, Wilt, Eduardo, Frankie, Madame Foster, Mr. Herriman, Goo, Old Man Rivers. Yeah, that should be enough Foster's characters to make Sparky happy. :) |
I tried to get a Foster's toy at McD's today and all they had was Jake. Now listen, I am having some luck losing weight and I'd prefer to not even go anywhere near a McDonald's right now...Can I ask for (a) volunteer(s) to round me up two each of the Bloo and Wilt toys and send them to me? I'll pay whatever they cost plus shipping.
|
I'll look tomorrow but I doubt I'll have much luck. And yeah, don't go anywhere near McDonalds if you're losing weight. Even the air in there is loaded with saturated fat. :P
|
I asked the manager of the local McDonalds about the Foster's toys earlier today. She told me that they're out of the blue ghost and the tall red girl figures and won't be getting any more. :wiltshock: 8D
I'm guessing she's not a fan. :bloosmirk: |

Tall red girl figures? 8D I find that hilarious! |
What I don't get is just how, exactly, is Wilt feminine?!8D
|
Quote:
If they hear that "tall red girl figure" talk, just once, the manager will change her mind! XD "Erm....that's not how a girl's voice is supposed to sound like..." 8D |
It may be the "go-go boots"...
|
That would be my guess; otherwise, I don't have a clue. :terrconf:

Looking noice.
