Oh yeah, I get that. Curiosty is the adorable expression that spreads across a dog's face when it comes dancing up to you to sniff you, and then jump on you. Aww :D

pitbulllady 09-16-2007 03:29 PM

"Curiosity" or wonderment about the world around us, or beyond, is a sign of intelligence. Animals which display curiosity and explore around them, and engage in activities that appear to be for no other purpose than having fun, are regarded as the most intelligent. In educational circles, children which display the most curiosity and ponder things beyond their immediate environment and situations are typically the ones that will wind up being the most successful in the long run. I know a lot of folks don't think that Wilt is all that bright, because he can seem undecided and a bit wishy-washy at times, but you have to understand how his past, and his perception of himself, has affected his behavior. Wilt would rather opt out for letting people think he's a fool than to hurt anyone else's feelings or disappoint anyone ever again.

I really can't say, though, that I can see a big change in Wilt's personality or outlook since the start of Season Five, but then, he really hasn't been seen that much. He had a minor roll in "The Buck Swaps Here", "Something Old, Something Bloo", "Bloo Superdude and the Potato of Power", and "Schlock Star", but either barely appeared, or didn't appear at all, in the others. Yeah, he was seen quite a lot in "Cheese A Go-Go", but he hardly was himself in that episode, since he looked awfully depressed the whole time, and I don't think it was because he flubbed as a defense attorney, either. At least, though(assuming Bloo was at least just giving his "spin" on something real that happened), in "BSDATPOP", Wilt did have enough self-confidence to "pull rank" on Ed and Coco when they were fighting over the Game Guy and try to take it from them, using that old stand-by line that MY dad used to be so fond of, and that parents throughout history have relied upon! I'm hoping that before Season Five concludes, there'll be at least one Wilt-centric episode, or at least one in which he plays a very important role. I really would love to see more interaction between him and his creator, even if it's just sorta "evesdropping" on a phone conversation between them.

I agree with you Pitbulllady it would be nice to see some more interaction between Wilt and his creater soon in the future, even if it is a phone call. I mean they do have ALOT to catch up on, its been what more then 15 years they have missed out on between each other. Im excited when a new show comes on tv just to find out.

It's been 30 years, actually!

Wilt has an Appreciation thread and I don't!?!? NO WAY!!!

There! Fixed it!

antgirl1 04-01-2008 12:36 PM

OMG you DOUBLE POSTED!

paddleman_2003 04-01-2008 12:37 PM

I'm the admin. I'm allowed to double post. :bloosmirk:

antgirl1 04-01-2008 12:38 PM

Humph. I thought admins were SUPPOSED to follow rules like everyone else. If someone made a rule, the person who MADE the rule has to follow it, too. Sparky never broke her own rules; why must you?

Ub3rD4n 04-01-2008 03:03 PM

Those were the rules because Sparky was in charge. Now Bloo is in charge and there is no rules, making your question moot. So really, you didn't even ask a question. And if you're gonna post big spaces of nothing on the site, I'll just have to report you!

Seriously, when is my adminship going through?

paddleman_2003 04-01-2008 03:11 PM

Yes, that's right, I am in charge, I'm the admin and this is my forum.

Seriously, when does Starky get here? Just kinda wanna know, is all.

Ub3rD4n 04-01-2008 03:26 PM

Why would you wanna hang with HER?

paddleman_2003 04-01-2008 03:44 PM

My PM box isn't working and I need her to fix it, plus I want her to show me how to really make this place run.

i dont think she'd be willing to help you. what with taking over the place and all.

antgirl1 04-01-2008 03:53 PM

As soon as Sparky arrives, "Your rein of terror is over!"

paddleman_2003 04-01-2008 03:58 PM

IT IS NOT A REIN OF TERROR!!! IT'S THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA!!! THE BLOO ERA!!! NOW SMILE AND BE HAPPY THAT I'M HERE, DANGIT!!! :edmad:

I admit I'm amused that you came here in the first place...but...there will always be others who will question your...ahem..."authority". Sadly, I'm one of them.

All who agree with my resistance, feel free to join the Wilt Followers.

You don't HAVE to be a fan of Wilt...his name was just stuck there. =P

I do not appreciate you adding my name to that list without my consent. I am therefore removing it. :frankiemad:

DA has no authority here. Now regardless of anything else, this is the "Wilt Appreciation" thread and we have gotten so far off topic that I can't even see the original topic anymore, so let's knock it off and get back on topic or I'll lock this thread for the night, m'kay?

Ub3rD4n 04-01-2008 04:46 PM

Alright then, I think that the time that Wilt and Bloo dueled it out in Make Believe It Or Not was one of the awesomest moments on the show.

antgirl1 04-01-2008 04:50 PM

Yep. Bloo would've gotten owned bad if it weren't for Coco and her...yeah.

x_dummkoff_x 04-01-2008 05:00 PM

I resist nothing.......
[uh-huh. how you like that, baka...]

WiltGirl 04-02-2009 12:29 PM

i say wat i came here to say.....
I LUV WILT! wooo i a fangirl. i luv the duel in that episode. i think bloo wud have deserved a defeat, he treats wilt really bad. like in 'where theres wilt' episode. BAD BLOO! lol

Wilt's like the image of the guy i just can never meet. why cant there be a machine that allows people to go into cartoons?????? and why are most great guys on tv and not walking down my street???? lol

WG :D

Shioni 06-15-2010 07:17 PM

This. This is awesome. <3
I remember when I first watched the show (remember, I was a little kid. xD; ), I was drawn to Wilt the most...I think it was because of his sweet, kind nature...kind of like a father to the other IF's. < : 3
He grew onto me very quickly...becoming something like a childhood cartoon crush. xD I would smile whenever I saw him, and I said to my mom once that when I would go to Foster's, he'd be my first choice to adopt...yeah, I was a strange kid. < | D;
Even if I've grown outta my silly crush on him, I still love his character...and I still smile when I see him. | 3c~

antgirl1 06-16-2010 12:10 PM

Don't worry, you are not alone. There are many Wilt fans who feel the same way, wishing he was real so he could be adopted.

Shame there aren't a large number of people like him in real life.

Shioni 06-17-2010 06:13 AM

Hee hee~ x3c~
If I could pop into the show, I would bring all the fans along...that would be great. ouo We could all have fun and hang out with him and everyone~ <3 Call me a dork, but I would even ask him for an autograph. xD

And yeah...it is a pretty harsh world without people who have kindness and consideration like him...of course, there are a lot of nice people in the world, but...I guess there isn't enough. < : <c~ We do need more people like him in real life...it'd probably make the world much better. <x3

antgirl1 06-17-2010 08:04 PM

ALL of the fans? I dnno about that... There were some pretty crazy ones out there. And asking for an autograph is the TAMEST thing I've ever heard. I'm sure others would want a looooot more than that. 8D

The good news is that he may just well be the best role-model I've ever seen. :D

Shioni 06-17-2010 10:39 PM

xD The sane ones then? ouo That'd be better, right? | 3 And xD Oh geez...I don't even wanna know what they would want. D :

And yeah, I think so too~ x3 I hope some kids who have watched the show before learn from him rather than learn from Bloo...which would be a total disaster, when I think about it. < | D

AmberMist84 08-06-2010 10:53 AM

I think the best thing I like about Wilt is the fact that he IS broken, But dosen't go all phantom of the opera on us and hide his deformity nor is anyone bothered by it or shun him for it.

QuietForte 08-22-2012 10:46 PM

I'm by no means an amazing artist, but I've recently been trying to improve my skills, because it definitely is one of my interests - as such, I'd like to be good at it. I figured, as such, I'd show my appreciation for Wilt by drawing a picture of him! Inserting the image via the "insert image" button does not seem to work, as I have discovered in a previous post, so I'll just link off to my deviantart where you can find it very easily, right on the front page. :D

sldlovesfosters 01-29-2013 02:49 AM

hehehehe ok cool m... well Wilt is my favorite! He was the reason I got into Fosters seriously, there was jst something about him you know? I was just sitting around, at mt grandmas when I remembered "That cartoon character from that show" eventually I remembered names XD But yeah. Wilt rocks, his socks , and everyone one elses XD hahaha I joke, bt yeah he is cool, sweet and helpful, great all and all XD

KazooBloo 11-29-2016 11:08 PM

Out of all the friends, I'd adopt Wilt first, no doubt.

Nebula 09-20-2017 02:36 PM

So I'm preeeeeetty sure this thread was dead YEARS before I even got here, but I kind of want to contribute, is that ok?

Thanks!! I never expected this forum to still be active, because I've been lurking since, like, 2014! Do you know where PBL is, by the way?

Also for my contribution to the thread:
So, when I was 11, I was kind of going through a rough time friend-wise, and one day I was going through Netflix and found Foster's. It was eventually removed, but I was able to find the episodes elsewhere and really clung onto Wilt. I don't know why. Maybe it was because he was the friend I needed at the time. And I just never let go.
(so much feels oh my god)
