I'll probobly see it on dvd, but if the reviews are good then I may try to see it in theaters. I just hope it shines like the older seasons and not grinds like the new ones.

I have to see this! I'm one of those people who was raised by the Simpsons and to this day I'm still in love with it... although I hate movie-going, I'll suck it up and live.... somehow... yes. I'm semi-hoping that Burns will be the main villain, he's one of my favorite characters. I say semi-hoping because that plot's so old, the whole "oh no, mister burns is gonna buy out x so we have to do y!" Of course, if there's Burns, then that means Smithers will be there... Smithers is amazing. *rambles*

I got the chance to see the film today, and I have to say that, after 18 years, the movie is worth the wait.

Due to Matt Groening's presence, as well as the rest of the crew, the movie has many humors throughout the film, with a well-thought out story that doesn't go flat, and fortunately, the cast from the show did a good job with the transition to the film.

In many ways, the Simpsons movie also prove that traditional animation isn't dead after all, and I have a feeling those who lost faith in 2-D animation might want to re-considered their view of the animation.

In general, I do recommend the film, even if the people out there aren't Simpsons fans themselves.

I liked this movie alot and I don't even watch the simpsons.
I thought the whole spiderpig thing was funny. 8D

I don't watch the Simpsons much either, but I'd really like to see the movie. Sometimes when TV shows come out with a movie (whether it's a TV movie or a big-screen movie), the movie is awful, and the no matter how popular the show was, it looses ratings after it. It can be quite a tragedy. But other times a movie is a perfect addition to the show, and from what I hear so far, the Simpsons Movie is one of those good ones. Everyone I've talked to about it seemed to love it. And Bravo for the Simpsons not only lasting so long, but remaining so popular during most of that time.

...Well, other than "stealing" awards from a certain other cartoon that definatlly deserves them. That just makes me mad. :scaryberry:

Speaking of awards, how many have the simpsons got already? I'm guessing 500 8D

I saw it today! :O

All I can say is ROFLMAO.

I totally agree! I just got back from seeing it at Hoyts and I loved it! Besides the Spider-Pig theme, the best part was
Spoiler Below
Lisa punching out Bart after he chants, 'Lisa's got a boyfriend!' I was expecting Bart to ruin the moment as usual, but Lisa took him out bad!! (In case you're wondering, I'm a Lisa Simpson fan!)

The moment when Homer watches the video Marge left for him...:o :'(

Saddest moment in Simpsons history, no contest; easily Julie Kavner's finest vocal performance. Just listen to the hurt she puts into Marge's voice.
