I don't watch much stand-up, but I do like Carlos Menica and...Dane Cook (which is probably going to get me shot:wiltshock: ).

That depends on the use of it, certain comedians are only able to be funny when they use fowl language. It's like a poor man's running gag cause in truth swearing actually is funny, Samuel L. Jackson proved that with his use of his now infamous "Mother" line.

George Carlin I love and he uses lots of fowl language, but what I love about him is that he uses his mind as much as his mouth. He really examines things in our lives and opens us up to the funny little things and adds the fowl language to spice it up.

Every comedian uses a different style and swearing is actually more effective then you think. But it's all in a matter of tastes, and it's all in a matter of the comedian's capability.

Good point! One of my favourite comedians is Carl Barron. His style is Observation Humour, and his use of language makes it funnier.

Eg; Carl is talking about his time in the US (he's from Australia):
'They don't say 'see you later' in America. You can say that. They think you're coming back. I went, 'see you later', he said 'when?'. 'No, see you later', he said 'where?' I just went '*beep* off'!' 8D

Do you mean Dane Cook? :bloocross: just checking. Another comedian I love, well actually there several comedians, the Monty Python troupe. Guys like John Cleese, Eric Idle, and Graham Chapman are some of the most brilliant and funniest men around.

Monty Python movies and shows have some great stuff, I never stopped laughing from "The Black Knight", "Mr. Crisco", "Jahova" and of course "The Parrot Sketch".

DANE cook. DANE cook!! *Headdesk* It's DANE cook. Boy I'm an idiot.

And I second the Monty Python people. It's a shame that Graham died. He was King Arthur :(

Bill Bailey
Ross Noble
Dane Cook
John Cleese <- His work in Faulty Towers was amazing

I see your point, Mr. Marshmallow, and it's a good one. I'd be lying if I said that I don't laugh at some of the more questionable stuff.
I guess I frown on comedians that swear alot because I don't care for those particular one inparticular. People love him, but I can't stand him. But as you said, it's all a matter of taste and who am I to argue.:D
