You don't know how irritating it is to get disconnected from Skype every five seconds, especially in the middle of a conversation. Well actually, most of you probably DO know. Either way, it's annoying.

i tend to have that problem with my school-issued laptop, which ive noted elsewhere in this topic.

(can someone point out how owning a laptop is supposed to help us learn? doesnt help that the only thing people do is play halo and talk on aim.)

in any case, ive decided to just tape up the parts that keep falling off of it, which works but the school wont like.

Really? That's the program I have and it's never done that to me.

Well, anyway, I was driving home from college today after having just taken a final exam and I'm already plenty tired and when I'm tired I get extremely irritable, so while I'm waiting at the light, the guy in the lane next to me has his windows down and has loud metal music blasting from his speakers and it's so loud that I can clearly hear it through my windows and so could eveyone else on that side of the intersecton, and I'm right next to the guy. Fortunately, the light didn't last too long and he quickly pulled ahead of me and out of ear range, but I was still more than a little pissed off, and I like metal!

But I just hate that in general, people who play their music so loud in the car that eveyone in a 100-foot radius can hear it. 9 times out of 10 it's hip-hop, but I really don't care what kind of music it is, it's still just as annoying! If I want to listen to something, I'll listen to it myself! And don't even get me started on the booming base speakers. I swear, those things make me feel like we're having an earthquake.

And what's the point of having those anyway? To be "hip" or "cool"? Well, it doesn't make me think you're cool, it makes me think you're an idiot who just likes to piss people off around you! And they're probably gonna get stolen anyway, but if you're dumb enough to put something like that in your car, you deserve to get it stolen IMO.

I just got a new car stereo a few weeks ago for $80 which was an excellent deal considering it plays CD, USB, SD, and iPod. I'm perfectly happy with it, so why do people feel the need to "pimp out" their car with extra junk that's probably gonna get stolen anyway?

I just don't get it, but it's still plenty annoying.

100% Agreed. How these lunatics manage to avoid having an accident due to that insane, earth-shattering volume is beyond me. It's so dang inconsiderate and rude to force people to listen to your music and to force them to shout to maintain a conversation. I will laugh long and loud at every one of these idiots when they develop tinnitus and/or need a hearing aid. Not that they'll be able to hear me. :frankiemad:

THAT'S WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS!

I uninstalled it this morning and it works fine. I'm gonna stick with AVG from now on.

Cassini90125 12-02-2008 02:38 PM

That's what I use. Works fine, doesn't take up much room, and isn't a bloated, overblown mess like Norton.

And isn't one of those "fake" anti-virus programs, either, you know, the ones that first say you have 10000000000000+ viruses and need the program, but TELL YOU you have to BUY the junk. Once you actually HAVE it, though, it actually LETS IN viruses, trojans, spyware, malware, etc. One of them I had I tried to uninstall with the comes-with uninstaller, said it was uninstalled (with a typo in the sentence), but I looked. IT WAS STILL THERE. So I resorted to manually uninstalling it.

Haven't posted in this thread in awhile.

Anyway, many things annoy me. Like telemarketers (someone said that earlier, and I TOTALLY agree-they're irritating!), closed-minded people who think they're right all the time, liars and don't EVEN get me started on some of the scary pairings I find in the Transformers and Legend of Zelda fanfiction/art sections sometimes! XP

Oh, don't get me started on bad scary pairings for fictional characters.
Permit me to mention part of Megatron's first post:

Being told repeatedly "You can't put together the new console/entertainment center/cabinet/platform thingie! You're not technical enough! You're not skilled to do these things! Just call somebody else for help! You can't do it!"

For part two of this, look Here
