Wow. Sure, it was inaccurate in that the Wise Men should have arrived about a year later, b ut... wow. Everything else was... wow. They even made Gabriel accurate, so far as his appearance should have been.

Batman Forever

Got it for Christmas!

I always thought this was a good film, mainly because of Jim Carrey as The Riddler. But I can see why this isn't one of the best Batman movies (other than Joel Schumacher as the director).

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Can't go wrong with a Christmas classic. I don't think I have ever met or spoken to a person that did not like this movie, its one of the most imaginative, creative, beautifully scored and wonderful movies i think has ever been created. My hero of a director, Tim Burton, truly outdid himself with this masterpiece and I can't wait to share this film with my kids when I get older.

Watched it last night- Christmas night. Ya know, I've never been able to see it from start to finish before. From what I've seen in the past, I enjoyed it, but it was so nice to finally be able to see the whole thing in one sitting. Soo funny! I'm a fan of a lot of Will Ferrel's work, and I loved him in SNL. So I wasn't at all surprised at how much I was laughing throughout the movie. 8D

Tim Burton didn't direct this film. He only wrote the original poem and was the executive producer. He didn't direct his first full-length animated movie until The Corpse Bride in 2005. Henry Selick who went on to do James and the Giant Peach, Monkeybone and the upcoming Coraline is the director of this film.

I know that, I never said he directed this movie I said he's my director hero and even if he didn't physically direct this, its as close to being his work unofficially as you can get.

I'm pretty sure I last watched Wall-E

Holy. Crap. Why didn't anyone tell me this movie rocked back and forth and with both hands?! The graphics were amazing-- Pixar really outdid themselves this time-- and Wall-E and EVE were so cute. :frankiesmile: I loved the beginning with the song "Put on Your Sunday Clothes" from Hello Dolly-- coming from the daughter of an avid musical watcher, it was a funny touch. (Watch, the next movie I watch is gonna be Hello Dolly...) In fact, I liked all the music.

Gawd, this movie was epic frickin' win. :thumbsup:

The Notebook

I've heard so many great reviews about this movie, and haven't gotten a chance to see it until tonight. I really enjoyed it, it was so sweet. Ah, young love. I always love stories about young love. :-* And then when they're old, he reads her the notebook she wrote about their whole love affair to keep what feelings she has for him alive, even in here severe dementia. And although it had a sad ending, it was a complete and satisfying ending. I was left feeling happy.

Before that we watched Independence Day.

I had seen it before once, many years ago. I'm a huge fan of Will Smith. And although it had been so long since I've seen it, I remembered most of it. Especially the fighter jet parts. They reminded me so much of Star Wars, and I remember mentioning that the first time I saw it too.
