If you don't already have it it's not free, its $30. If there is *any* way you can buy it, do so, it is *invaluable* to have if you do a lot of downloading and perhaps moreso if you need to do any of your own compressing, as it works better than WinZip. A .rar compresses smaller than a .zip file, so a lot of people will only use WinRar to compress, therefore if you don't have WinRar too, you can't download their stuff. It does .zips too, so its more versatile than WinZip right there.
