About a bunch of stuff Voxxyn said:
I half agree with you about the Foster's five, season 4 is pushing some character's roles up (& in the case of Frankie up again she sort of sadly was a minor-ish character in season 2 & 3 only "Hey Frankie fans here she is besides FMD & ETSNBN" :( ) so it really should be a Foster's 7 (the original 5+ Goo & Frankie, Cheese in a way). I agree with Frankie in "Big Cheese" it would of been a mess with only one REALLY funny moment (you all know what I'm talkin' about), Frankie actually made Cheese funnier, " I liiiiike this game!", "CANDY! *Licks lips*,etc... Of course Frankie had a TON of funny moments in it too, her classic Disney shake was the best. ETSNBN is THE WORST epsiode of any show I like, I mean even if Terdball wasn't so ignorant & mean to Frankie it was a BORING episode. Nothing was funny in it, not even Wilt or Bloo! :terrence: Yeah, the whole who cares about a dumb concert thing makes me mad too because she worked hard for those tickets, I mean Madame Foster probally dosen't pay her alot since she gets a free house, electricity,etc.. so that was a waste of money. Maybe the whole "Been there done that" meant about being behind a slow old lady, I may need to see for sure to actually understand what he/she meant. I'm sure Frankie will have a HUGE role in "GWH" just by the looks of the commercial. Of course that'[s finally Wilt's time to shine, so as long as she dosen't get the seson 2/3 treatment I'll be fine. For EC I'm not sure, I mean the comercialmakes it look like she will be a damzel in distress, I hope not. I'd like to see Mac & Frankie kick butt, oh well only a couple more hours (2:12 a.m. here). Just my 2 cents on all that stuff Voxxyn said. :D |
duck2k - I created my own "Frankie is love" banner a while back. You can feel free to use it if you want to.
Back on-topic, We only see a few seconds of Frankie in the "on the next Fridays" sneak peek for EC. Just seeing her telling Madame Foster about how "he locked us in a closet" to begin with indicates that she sees through Lil' Lincoln's evil plot while everybody else(except Mac) is ignorant. There's more than enough room open for potential scenes in which Frankie gets angry over no one believing her. |
Get in the bus, get in the bus, get in the bus!!!

Thanks anyway, but I got one. |
I'm glad to see that my little daydream of a "win-a-trip-to-Fosters" contest idea was well liked. And I could definetly see it being limited to just kids. But I could see Laurin Faust and the other writers hopeing for an adult. I think that could have a lot more potential. Maybe they could take the Charlie and the Chocolote Factory aproache and the winning child can bring one of their parants along.:D
And thank you guy's for you're kind words. I never though of myself as a laydies man because I havent really been interested in finding a nice woman yet. And I just melted when you said that Frankie would probobly like me. You guy's really made my day!8D |
:(
"Emancipation Complication" was a great episode, but as I was expecting for Frankie to actually have some sort of shining moment, it let me down BIG TIME... and it's all thanks to the trustworthy and reliable(*gag*) folks at Cartoon Network. I truly, truly, TRULY hope that Season 5 will have some sort of shining moment for Frankie. I agree with Nathander that her role was kinda diminished in S2 and S3. It's only in the most recent episodes of S4 that she has truly become prominent again, and I hope this isn't a fluke. |
I for one am hoping that at some point she gets the "Special One-Hour Episode" treatment, like Wilt is getting this Thanksgiving. There are so many unanswered questions about the wonderful Miss Foster; I don't think we'll get too many answers from GWH. But like GWH, a Frankie movie has a built-in audience waiting for it, and I would very much love love to see it happen.

Yes, an hour long episode is certainly the least they can do for Frankie and her fans. I think they just havent realised what a wonderful character they made yet. Lets hope they notice soon.
|
I just want a Frankie movie! :D
|
I certainly wouldn't mind a Frankie special, as I think she's one of the (admittedly several) characters that really deserves some fleshing out to their background. We know nothing about her parents, home life, what she majored in when she attended college (except that it was a difficult major), and several other points.
In my honest opinion, a hour long special is the least they could do for her. |
Quote:
In truth, we don't even know that her major was a difficult one. Dylan could very well have been lying, flattering her for his own purposes. He certainly seems to be the type that would do that. |

Yeah, I agree that it'd be a good idea to give Frankie a tv movie in time (then again, a lot of the characters should probably have one, really-they all have interesting backstories that should be explored more in depth). I'd like to know what she majored in when attending college or who her parents were-it'd make her character even more interesting than she is now (and I'd say she's a pretty fleshed out character so far). Heck, we may even find out more about Madame Foster all in the same episode since she's Frankie's grandmother and would obviously have ties with some of this as well. |
Well like I mentioned before, if nothing new about Frankie is learned, I'm gonna get my answer straight from the horse's mouth. I'm going to COMIC CON 2007 and I'm gonna go to the Foster's panel and hopefully get my question.
I plan on letting everyone know Frankie's my fav. character, and I intend to ask them about that very same issue. Who her parents were, are they alive/dead, does she have any siblings? A Frankie movie would be VERY sweet, but I doubt it'll happen. And if they did, they'd probably have to tag someone along with her like Mr. Herriman or Mac and Bloo. Just to keep things....amusing . |
I don't want to disrespect any of the other characters as they all warrant their own special--but I think Frankie deserves it the most.
Frankie's role was the one that got severely diminished in Seasons 2 and 3. The "Foster's Five"(or any combination thereof) were and continues to be featured prominently. At times, even Mr. Herriman and Madame Foster seemed to get the spotlight far more often than Frankie. So, yes, I agree: a one-hour episode would be the least they could do for her and her fans. |
Yeah Frankie is coolio.So.....Dedicated:frankiesmile:
They`re making a movie for Wilt so Frankie should have one too. It`s only fair:frankiesmile: |
It's against the rules to double-post within only minutes. You might want to delete your second post, and then edit your first post so that it also has what you said in the second one. Just a heads-up, since you're new.
But I agree very much with what you said. |
If you do go to the 2007 comic con, Mr.Marshmellow, be sure to let us know what you find out.:D But I bet you'll only get an answer like "We may do an episode about Frankie's past later." or "You'll have to wait and see, but keep watching anyway." :(
But be sure to give our regards to the group that would be there. And let them know just how much of a following our Frankie has!8D |
Well hopefully the success of Wilt's movie will convince CN to do more, for the other characters and of course, Frankie.
I just wish there was a way to let the people at CN know how popular Frankie really is, because, it really doesn't seem like their getting the hint. Letters, e-mails, anything. |
I have said it before and I will say it again - Frankie is VERY crucial to the show. She has her issues, but Foster's would not function without her.
|
I agree. Frankie needs her own special.
|
If they ever did Frankie's own special, they need to have her in that black dress she wore in "Frankie my Dear." She looked HAWT!
|
I actually prefer the pink dress.;)

These characters deserve movies before Mac & Bloo (who sorta alreadygot a movie), these will be in order:
Frankie- Alot of what has been said already, tag-along character Bloo Coco- Why was she alone on an island? What happend to her creator?- Tag along, Mac Eduardo- Was he brave? Was his creator as scared? Why is she a cop now? Tag along- Wilt Goo- Why is she soo....crazy? Tag along- Coco Cheese- Just to please the kiddies Tag-along- Frankie (Always a great pair these two) Then we should start over again Bloo, Mac, Wilt, Frankie, Ed,etc.. Just some more OT rambling. But yeah Frankei deserves a movie the time of the next movie. The team seems to like Frankie, well besides the season 2-3 lack. |
Frankie definitely needs a movie, she's under appreciated, underlooked, and just UNDER in general. We barely know alot about who she really is other then her grandmother is Madame Foster and that she's worked there her whole life.
We don't know about any of her other friends (except for that one Bloo talked to in "Bus the two of us"), if she has siblings, where her parents are, are they alive or dead, old boyfriends etc. But the other characters I kinda disagree on. Coco really can't due to the fact she only says one word. You'd need more then just Mac along to make it interesting. I think Coco's backstory is easier to explain since her personality isn't as noticeable as Wilt or Eduardo's. Cheese movie is a BAD idea I think. He's funny as he is, and at times he can push it, I think everyone would start throwing bricks at their TV sets if they had to watch him for 90 or so minutes in a movie with him being the sole star. |
Yeah but sooner or later there will be a Cheese movie, as I said jsut for the kiddies. I don't if that's :D or :(
|
I think it's safe to say that Coco's past will be revealed in Good Wilt Hunting. If even a little. But I'm glad that, Frankie isant being left behind in the movie.
|
Still only a little bit of what we've seen but Coco still needs a real shining moment "My so called Wife"was more Herriman than Coco.
Hopefully season 5 is as farnkie-filled as 1 & 4. |
a Cheese movie would be too much. You can't stretch that joke for an hour, it'd get really, really old.
A Frankie movie would work if the story had a lot of general audience appeal. Easier said than done. |
I honestly don't understand why you think it would be so hard to find "general audience appeal" for Frankie. Being a very sympathetic character and coupled with the mysteries surrounding her past, she already has great potential for such.
|
I totally agree. Frankie's stories are waiting to be told; Craig & co. just need to fill in the blanks and tell them. There are as many mysteries surrounding her as there are any of the characters; who wouldn't want to learn more about her? I for one look forward to the day her story is finally told, and for me it will likely be the high point of the entire series. More than any other character, she deserves a movie.
|
I think what would work best in order to obtain a reason for a Frankie movie would be a purpose to delve into this information. Wilt's movie for example delves into the fact he never sees his creator, that's why he's going out to find him. Hence the movie's focus.
Now, the only trick would be getting some reason to delve deeper into Frankie's life. Frankie knows her own life naturally, so it would have to be someone else asking a question or wanting to find out more like maybe Mac or Bloo. Something to get it rolling along you know? I have a feeling there's something troubling in Frankie's life or in her past, there's always a reason people's lives are hidden and with Frankie being the less focused of the Foster's crew, I can imagine she probably has quite a bit hidden in her life. I also think if she does get her own movie, Mac should be with her because the 2 are so very much alike and get along very well, and to be honest i really think it would be sweet if we saw them bonding as friends for a change. Instead of just being the usual cool heads during freaky situations at Fosters. |
i agree with all that:frankiesmile:

Yeah, I think it would be too much as well. Cheese is great as a one-gag character, but making a tv movie about him is not the best idea for the reasons that you already meantioned. But out of all the characters on the show I think Frankie, Eduardo and Madame Foster deserve tv movies the most (besides Wilt, of course...but he doesn't count because he already has one! XD). Frankie, as I meantioned earlier, has tons of potential for a tv movie due to the mystery of her past. Not much is known about her family or even her major in college, as we mentioned before. :) It'd be interesting to see what kind of family Eduardo had and who knows, maybe we could see his true "guardian instincts" kick in for one part while he protects his creator. ;) It'd certainly be interesting to see if Eduardo had to become very brave at one point in order to protect his family (after all, that was what he was created for). Madame Foster would be a good choice because a tv movie could bring SO many answers to questions about her character-when and why she created Mr. Herriman, what motivated her to open up a foster home for imaginary friends in the first place, who HER parents were (but then again, this could all tie in with Frankie as well since she is her granddaughter. After all, one of Madame Foster's kids would obviously be one of Frankie's parents...that would tie in rather well, personally). |
While I agree our beloved Frankie's story should be told - I am going to play "devil's advocate" for a minute:
First: If there might have been a troubling past for Frankie, sometimes I wonder if it was something we should know about. The way Frankie acts, she might be resolving it by her actions or getting out of herself if you will (i.e., taking care of the residents at Foster's, and being that "big sister.") Second: I do not know if I want to know about Frankie's parents, or possible siblings - I have always been into the "mystique" of a character. Third: If Frankie wanted to share her past with someone, Mac would not be the person to share it with (while he is intelligent, he is still a kid). I would share things like that when a kid is older. Fourth: There is always a possibility Madame Foster might reveal Frankie's past when the time is right and a little at a time. Okay, I am my ducky self again. I still think an hour for Frankie can cover a lot! |
Hmm...you know, that's a good theory (the one about Frankie getting "out of herself" and taking care of the residents of Foster's in order to resolve her problems). That would certainly be interesting and could play out well in a tv movie. ;)
Well, I think there's one way of solving that problem of remaining somewhat "mysterious", but keeping her parents in the picture at the same time. Perhaps her parents could have died when she was young, therefore the nature of her parents would be unknown unless Madame Foster brings it up. You get what I'm saying? But this is just my opinion-you don't have to listen to me. :P Yeah, I don't really think Frankie would share her past with Mac. In fact, I'm not really sure WHO she'd share it with. The only ones I think she'd trust talking to about that are Madame Foster and, for some reason, MAYBE Wilt, but other than that I can't think of anyone. :-/ And yeah, that's certainly true. It could always happen. ;) Wow, that was fun...I love picking things apart! |
