Despite looking stupid, it's actually a good movie. I may pick it up on HD-DVD when I get the 360 add-on. (Not this year, since I'm getting the 360 for X-mas)

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Starring Ralph the Wonder Llama.

Large møøse on the left half side of the screen in the third scene from the end, given a thorough grounding in Latin, French and "O" Level Geography by Bo Benn.

The Darjeeling Unlimited by Wes Anderson. Personally, I loved it though, like most of Anderson's work, it hardly appeals to everybody. Great film if you enjoy near pitch black humor.

X2: X-men United

I think this is probably one of the greatest comic book movies ever made. Bryan Singer did fantastic job improving from the first X-men movie, I had no idea he could churn out a film so rich, so well acted, and well made in general.

I wished he would have stayed with Fox and made X-men 3 instead of Superman Returns. If X2 was this phenominal, who knows what he could have done with the 3rd film.

Trust me, it's a good movie, I saw it on DVD once before and it was indeed awesome.
Although, I too liked Superman Returns as well, Kevin Spacey did an awesome job portraying Lex Luthor, might I add.

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Not only one of the few romantic comedies I can actually stomach, but one I can watch time and time again and thoroughly enjoy on every occasion (far more than can be said for Love Actually, which should be a testament to the largely degenerative and self-parodic route the British rom com took within the decade that followed). It's simply but cleverly structured, charming and very funny. Admittedly, there is something oddly phoney and unpleasant about Andie MacDowell's character which I can't really put into words - one is left wondering exactly what it is that Hugh Grant sees in her, but I guess that's his own business, and pretty much everyone else involved has a convincing and enjoyable onscreen chemistry. Special honours go to that bitter, senile old man who only shows up twice within the entire picture but walks away with the scene on both occasions. Worthy of his own spin-off movie, that chap, only I suspect that the actor who played him has long since passed on.

The Grudge 2

Most people disliked this movie or felt weird about it. It certainly wasn't anywhere near as craptacular as The Ring 2, but I know a lot of people had mixed feelings towards this movie and originally, I did to.

Perhaps its my inexplicable love for the Grudge film series, but I really felt this movie is a lot better (and a lot smarter) then most people give it credit for. It's not better then the original movie but I enjoyed the cast and it had some very creepy moments.

I already heard a 3rd one is being made (thank GOD its not a direct-to-DVD movie) so I'm hopeful this 3rd one will provide some answers to the movie's long overdue unanswered questions.

"Control". One of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Sam Riley portrayed Ian Curtis of Joy Division well. And the style was brilliant. There was nothing I didn't love about this movie. I was sad when the end happened even though I knew it was coming. I can't say enough good stuff about it.

theres a Joy Division movie?

Yeah, it just came out. I had to go to an Art House theatre to see it. The guy who directed it did Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" video. It was shot beautifully.
