::bump::
I'm going to prom tonight! Maybe I'll post pictures8-) |
Pics would be grand. We want stories, too! :)
|
I am going to fail math B.
this is bad. |
So, yeah. Prom last night. This is what it looked like outside when we arrived at the Convention Center:
http://i15.tinypic.com/677icjm.jpg Severe thunderstorms on prom night. How lovely:jk: Anyway, it was a good time, even though *some* people just couldn't put aside their differences and be friends for just one night::) But whatever. Here's a little of my red carpet flair for you: http://i11.tinypic.com/52fnz87.jpg I'm not gonna post any pictures from the actual 'prom' part of it, because I highly doubt anyone wants to rifle through picture after picture of me and my friends acting like goofs. But I will tell you I was the craziest and most awesomerific dancer there, except maybe for my friend Kara. I was so hot that I was dying, but I still kept dancing:cheesegrin: Oh, yeah, and then we went to Niagra Falls aterwards: http://i11.tinypic.com/4xxac9e.jpg And that, folks, is where that scene with the waterfall from Pirates 3 was filmed. Sorry the picture's so small. I took that one on my cell phone. |
Niagra falls is beautiful. Too bad its so tourist-y.
must've been nice and cool after all that dancing! |
Sounds like a great evening; almost makes me wish I'd gone to my prom. Glad you had a good time! ;D
|
Aww, that's so cool. I can't wait till' pro. *dreams of what it would be like to go to the prom with Wilt* Ahhh....!
|
I'm graduating in 2 and a half hours!!!!!!:P
|
Let me be the first to offer my congratulations! :) ;D
|
Thank you so much, and now I can officially accept your "congratulations" because...I'm officially a high school graduate now!!! I did it! On to bigger and better things8-) Like college...
And that, my friends, is how life is like at school. |
Good work man, and welcome to the wonderful world of higher education.

had to skip a gnarly graduation party tonight. Cops are everywhere. Got this one staked out :slybendy: i did see about 5 massive coolers being lugged into the forest, though. And then i saw them bring the ice a few minutes later. Should have been pretty awesome. ::) |

Hopefully no harm was done, and we can now return to our regularly scheduled thread already in progress. |

So, college next... What do you plan to major in?
|
Well, since the school I'm going to doesn't offer theatre as a major, I'm majoring in English and minoring in Theatre. It's gonna be a fun time:)...I hope.
|
I know I?m a fair bit older than the school age, but this seemed like the most appropriate thread in which to share my joyful news. I just got my final university degree results morning (the end product of three whole years of accumulative toil and perspiration), and I got a 2:1! It?s a very good mark, and one which qualifies me for a further year of postgraduate study.
It?s hard and it?s stressful, but there?s something about student life which I find truly alluring, and I?m delighted to have at least another year of it ahead. :D |
One is never too old for school, and postgraduate work certainly counts. You're right, too, about there being a certain allure to the academic life. Anyway, my congratulations, of course, and best of luck in the coming year! :)
|
on a good note i ended up passing math with a 70, which is the threshold between passing and not in my school. Boo Yah.

Exactly how all this immersion in English literature is going to help me in the real world, when the time comes, is anyone's guess, but I can certainly hold my own in conversations on Samuel Beckett and Laurence Sterne. :D |
Bumped for a report :D
YAY I'M NOT WITH DRAMA GIRL THIS YEAR!!! She ended up transfering to another school. One of my teachers told me that her mother thought my group was a bit "energetic and rough" for her little baby. In other words, she called everyone in my Asperger's program (INCLUDING ME WTF >_<) spoiled brats with additudes. Had I seen that old fart of a hag I woulda socked it to her. I'm not spoiled, you crazy butt-ugly female dog. Anyway, I'm stuck with Mean Boy now. He's pretty OK, I guess...except he insults me every chance he gets. For example: English Teacher: Did you finish your autobiography, *Elena? (*Real name) Me: Yeppers. Mean Boy: As in all the drafts before the final copy? Me:...Yes. (Mean Boy stares at for two seconds) Mean Boy: YeahNO. Seriously, why does he care? All I did in response was roll my eyes in my head. (The kid never does his homework, BTW.) The substitute para (my regular para was absent for the day) told me, "Maybe he's concerned about you." After she said that, M.B. just stares at her and me like we're freaks in a circus act. Jerk. |
well apperantly im alreadly half done with this semester. hm. went by so fast. but i guess thats high school. anyway i think i got an average of B's in most of my classes, so thats good.
|
i have yet to do any english homework
hey, she said nothings late as long as its in before the end of the quarter...8D |

I hope its not wrong to think my teachers are my only friends at school...they're the only ones who are nice to me. |

don't worry, i sincerely doubt that everybody hates you. You'd have to work really, really hard to accomplish that. Heck, I haven't even been able to do it (yet) 8D chin up! |
^ Have you done your English homework yet? :herriman:
|
Senior year is a butt.
I can't wait to graduate. :P |

its only the fourth week of school, ask me in a few weeks |
At the end of the school year my teachers used to hand out awards for achievement at a school-wide ceremony. Some goofy awards were usually included. One year I got a special award in World History for the most homework assignments turned in at the last minute (35). 8D

The best part was that the award was originally for 34 late homework assignments; I handed #35 to the teacher when I got to the podium. He laughed, wrote "35" on the award, and the audience cracked up and applauded. It was a fun afternoon. 8D

(Takes bow) I do have my moments.

i visited 2 colleges this weekend: Saint Lawrence and Paul Smith's, both in upstate NY. Both surrounded by enough wilderness to satiate the thirst of any camping/hiking/fishing/canoeing/hunting lover.
I think i like Paul Smith's more. $27k total tuition for my area of study (Forestry), and with my ACT/SAT scores i will get $8k/year off the top, thats not including the numerous other scholarships i'll be applying for (and recieving, probably). The cost should be minimal. Besides, all the people i saw there were "good ol' boys" and hippies...whereas with Saint Lawrence it was mostly yuppy hippy losers. At Paul Smith's you can keep your rifles locked in the Security center so you can go hunting on the weekends :D Not many women at Paul Smiths from what i saw :wiltshock: but you know what? Its cheap, good education, huge hunting/hiking population, and besides...listening to women talk to each other gives me a headache :P |
