Awww, that card is lovely! Nice job!

Charlie Crocker 03-05-2009 06:17 AM

Really a very good job my dear Cassini, it hurts just to comment and I am beginning to explore the world of Fosters-Home again, hopefully after I get to include in your Cards

And for that I am brand new here (although almost nobody knows me) I want to show something that proves that I appreciate all my heart to Frankie :-*

Hope you like it, but not all the credit is mine, a very good friend of mine helped me do it.

Now that catch your eye, ask me something like:

Since many of us really appreciate and value to this lovely and beautiful character, who heard versions morbid and degrading that many "apparent Fans of Frankie :-*".

I hope not to upset anyone with this question, but I would love to Cassini, Sparky and especially one's own Frankie :-* give me your opinion on this item.

Thanks y please comment!!!

frankie_fan 03-05-2009 01:01 PM

Wow. VERY eye-catching if you ask me. :-*

Charlie Crocker 03-05-2009 02:00 PM

Gracias... oh Thanks!

How nice that you liked, and taking advantage of this opportunity, I want to give me your opinion as a fan of Frankie on the question I did a little below the image.

Thank you for your comments! :-*

Sparky 03-05-2009 03:51 PM

You (and your accomplice) did a beautiful job on the image Charlie.

Lynnie 03-05-2009 06:41 PM

That is an exceptional picture, Charlie!

And I'm sorry, I don't think I understand the question you're asking. Are you asking if any of us have seen/heard morbid fan art of Frankie, done by "apparent" fans of hers? If that's what you're asking, I think most of us have, and they make us sad. :bloosad:

Charlie Crocker 03-06-2009 07:06 PM

Thanks!!!

First of all, thank you very much for answering and that is nice detail.

Now going to the topic of the question, it feels really bad when one sees such things?

"In your opinion Lynnie," which could be done.

One of my doubts that I have brought many people is, do they charge for such images, you have some sort of agreement or bribery with television as a Cartoon Network among others?

Thank you for your comments!!!

jekylljuice 03-07-2009 10:51 AM

That's a very beautiful image there, Charlie. Frankie's dress kind of reminds me of Belle's in Beauty and the Beast.

Charlie Crocker 03-09-2009 04:12 PM

Thanks, de veritas Thanks

This thread has been way too quiet for way too long, so in honor of all the backbreaking work my favorite characterr does around that huge house, I came up with this:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...125/FFTime.jpg

I can't think of anyone who deserves the honor more. Here's to you, Frankie! :-*

frankie_fan 06-27-2009 10:23 PM

Ditto! :-*

Howard 06-28-2009 09:32 AM

Amen!:-*

Major Abbey 06-28-2009 11:05 AM

Great job, Cassini! Frankie's my second favourite character after Herriman. It's nice to see her get some recognition.

Lynnie 06-28-2009 06:38 PM

Cass is awesome at stuff like this. ;) Another lovely one here, Cass. I see you used the S1 Frankie, too.

Cassini90125 06-28-2009 06:46 PM

Thanks. The pic is from the glicee print I ordered four years ago; it gets a lot of use. Which reminds me, I really ought to get to work on Frankie's birthday card. Not something I want to leave for the last minute, y'know.

frankie_fan 06-28-2009 07:10 PM

Awesome. Put my name on it!

Might as well put my name om it too (of course)!

Already we are 3 Friend, I can be added also please?

I definitely want my name on that.

Cassini90125 07-05-2009 10:39 AM

Well, I see that prompting y'all is no longer necessary. 8D

I'm surprised I haven't read any comments from anyone about Frankie's outfit in Fools And Regulations. I don't mean the little black dress; I'm talking about the outfit she took from the scarecrow near the end of the episode:

http://www.fosters-home.com/screengrabs/6/612-0098.jpg

I thought it looked adorable on her. Always nice to see her in something new, too, even if that something new has been out in the yard on a scarecrow for who knows how long.

Four toes per foot, by the way. :bloocross:

Charlie Crocker 07-05-2009 04:27 PM

Frankie the Farmer

If you please my Friend Cass, I can show you a version that my "Compadre" MikeLeRoi and a servant we raise in deviantART, is here the Link...

(Link removed)

Does not one see precious?

Regards my Friend, from :smed:Mexicalpan de las Garnachas:smed:!!!

I always thought Frankie was a bit of a redneck at heart - "Swang yer pardner, dosie-do, now promendade..."

Lynnie 07-05-2009 05:01 PM

She looks comfy in that outfit, as long as I don't think about any hay or dirt that's attached itself to the fabric. I know first hand how comfy overalls are. My mother was obsessed with them while I was growing up.

Speaking of square dancing, I'm now picturing Frankie in one of those square dancing outfits. Ya know, with the thick crinolines and checkered blouses. Ooh, since I'm on vacation, I feel a fan art coming! ;)

L.G. 07-05-2009 06:17 PM

Cassini, could you add my name to the birthday card, please?

Also, nice work on the 'Woman of the Year' pic. :groovyed:

taranchula 07-05-2009 07:51 PM

Believe it or not...

I actually made a comment on that outfit in the actual episode thread, I said something like that if the party was a failure and Foster's did close down, then Frankie could always find work in Branson at a Hee Haw Revival show.

Of course that didn't happen, but the thought of everyone's favorite red head standing in a fake corn field, telling lame jokes and introducing the like of Conway Twitty did bring a small smile across my face.

PeterFoster111 07-06-2009 09:13 AM

Mr. McCracken has made an EXCELLENT choice on the girl who does all the chores. My word, my best word to describe Frankie is "heroic".

Now some of you may think she's not really heroic, but what I mean is that she cheers up that mouse in Hiccy Burp. I LOVE THAT SCENE!

Major Abbey 07-14-2009 11:57 AM

Wow, I just realised I've posted on here and haven't shown any real Frankie appreciation yet.

She's my second favourite character after Herriman, and I think this might be because she's more emotionally relatable. While Herriman makes me laugh, I can't actually relate to him. When someone hurts him, it doesn't bother me, and if I ever met him in real life, I probably wouldn't be able to stand him. Frankie, on the other hand, seems like a good friend to have. She's a nice person with a few weaknesses (as seen in "Cookie Dough" and "The buck swaps here" - when I say "weaknesses", I mean things that stop her from being too perfect and therefore unrelatable) and that, in my opinion, is what makes her so great. Also, as Mr Marshmellow said in another thread, she's not given special treatment because she's female.

Another thing about Frankie: she's realistic. She's one of the few female characters I see in animation who actually behaves like a real person. A lot of shows these days seem to make female characters behave either like fashion-obsessed preppy girls obsessed with getting a boyfriend, or don't feature them at all. Frankie's a nice break from that. And because she's more realistic, it's easier to identify with her. She also has the patience of a saint - I could never put up with what she has to go through, especially at the hands of characters like Herriman (whenever they have a confrontation, I always find myself on her side; especially at the end of "Busted"). And yes, I've seen "Imposters" and I hated the way she was treated there; but if I like a character in any show, animated or otherwise, I can be sensitive to the way writers are treating them. Oh, and she has a nice character design, too.

So, yeah; Frankie's awesome. Can you put my name on that birthday card?

Cassini90125 07-26-2009 05:20 PM

Happy birthday, Frankie!

Finished it on the 25th, barely, and promptly fell asleep and forgot to upload it. Comic-Con is hard work. :bloocross:

Happy birthday, my lady, from all of us. :-*

Howard 07-26-2009 05:31 PM

...and so say all of us!:-*

^w^ Well said. Let's hope we can add an Emmy to that list!

Lynnie 07-26-2009 11:41 PM

Another gorgeous space pic you chose here, Cass.

And a very happy, though belated, birthday to you, Frankie! :yeah:

Major Abbey 07-27-2009 10:22 AM

Thanks for adding my name!

Happy birthday, Frankie!

jekylljuice 07-27-2009 12:25 PM

Beautifully done, Cass. I apparently neglected to request to have my own name on the card, so I'll wish Frankie a happy belated birthday here and now and hope that makes up for it.

In the Sims 3 game, if your Sim is using a telescope and discovers a new star, the player gets to name it. I'll leave it to you all to guess what just happened in my game.

I'm such a sap.

Yes you are - but I won't hold it against you. I'm a fine one to talk huh!;)

Cassini90125 08-21-2009 12:41 PM

I finally got around to reinstalling my scanner this afternoon, and I thought you guys might enjoy seeing the first item that got scanned. Sorry about the small size and low quality, but I really don't want some rip-off artist messing with the full image and claiming that it's his own creation. Anyway, here she is:

Frankie Foster, drawn for me by Craig McCracken at the 2009 Comic-Con.

Lynnie 08-21-2009 03:16 PM

I've seen this already, but must say again that she's really cute. Of course Craig is the best at drawing her, and all the others, because he's their creator!

Congrats on post 6000 by the way. ;)

I too received this drawing at the Con.

Good ol' Cranky Frankie. 8D Craig did an amazing job on yours as well, Howard. But then, that's a given. She looks as wonderful now as she did last month, cranky and all.
