What, me sing? *Shudder*...that's kind of a rough area. The highlight of my singing career was undoubtedly singing "In the Air Tonight" at a karaoke in Canada, though it really was one of those spur the moment things. Lightning didn't strike twice when I tried singing "Sledgehammer" the following week.

Lol yes, you sent me the Work Song if you remember, which is good since it's not on the only Nina Simone CD which I currently own. Yeah, "Feeling Good" is leagues more raw and empowering than any rock n roll song I know - those young whippersnappers deserve a clip around the ear.

Problem here is that there doesn't seem to be enough room left for it. I had a really bad time with it last night, as I woke up in the early hours and it was horribly painful and swollen.

I wish they'd been a bit nicer about Nina Simone in the Singing Thread. I don't think she's boring at all...

Thanks! And no, I doubt that a photograph of the telly would've come out nearly so well. Natalie has the DVD, so I borrowed it from her and took a screengrab.

Yeah, the weather's been amazing lately. Sadly, my weekend has been somewhat marred by a troublesome wisdom tooth which I now believe to both impacted and infected...I'm hoping to be able to get an emergency dentist tomorrow - wish me luck! How was your weekend? Did you enjoy Wall-E?

Well, it's Disney-Pixar, if that helps (ie: Disney only in name and merchandising)...not that I deem there to be anything inherently wrong with Disney itself, they've made some great films in the past, after all - but they've made some very poor decisions over the past several years, and urgently need to get their act together. Anyway, yay! I look forward to hearing what you think of it.

As for our 80s politician friend, a screenshot of him is now up in one of my profile albums. I'd be grateful if you could help me identify him.

Thanks! And nah, I don't think it was him...the politian in question wasn't quite *that* fat... it was probably unfair and irresponisble for me to even describe him as such.

    Sure.
So, a bear invaded camp, and it would hide in the woods during the day, but at night it would come out and terrorize the camp. It showed up on a cabin's porch one night and began growling and scratching at the door, which caused the kids inside to really freak out. And last week it was walking around the cabins in my end of camp. Everyone was freaking out, so the camp director called in some Wildlife Control people, but they were unable to catch the bear. Then, last night, me and a few of my friends were pulling an all nighter, and at around 3 AM, we went to use the washroom. The washroom at our end of camp is in a small clearing in the middle of the woods, so it was pretty scary walking to it since we knew the bear liked to hide in the woods, but we went anyway. We didn't see the bear when we were walking there, so we kinda relaxed a little. But then, as we were leaving the washroom, we hear some noises coming from the bushes. At first, we just thought it was another one of our friends trying to scare us, so we were like "Haha, nice try..." but then we heard a low growling noise, and then we see the bear stepping out of the bushes. There are stairs that lead up to the washroom, so we ran up the stairs, screaming at the top of our lungs. A few maintenance men and a few councellors soon arrive, and then the bear takes off, back into the woods. We got back to our cabin safely, but we were so freaked out. It was actually such a scary experience...

He was Gordon's successor. And then there was Otis the Aardvark, he was awesome. British TV needs him back so badly...yeah, I probably need to go to bed now too. Goodnight, I'll email you in more detail tomorrow!
