Yup, that's exactly what they do! They also run along the surface of the water with their long necks curved backward. I've never seen them do it in person, but they're popular birds on nature shows. That's why I was so excited when I first saw a wild one. "Oh, those are THOSE birds?? Cool!"

Hey Koos, I took this picture while on vacation back in August, just thought you might like to see it. I remember how excited I was when I first saw a Western Grebe, as I had only seen them on TV, usually doing their "dance". Turns out they're common in the area I live now, which makes me happy. They're awesome birds. Sorry it's taken from a distance.

I wish certain other people would take heed of that second part and stop posting tasteless, self-indulgent sex fics. Anyway, got to take off for a bit. If anyone misbehaves while I'm gone, feel free to indulge yourself.

I don't think the world wants to read a tale about me and Frankie meeting so I think I'll keep it to myself.

A little, not very often. I completed a couple of Foster's fics and occasionally jot down a note or two for a swords and sorcery story I'd like to take a crack at but that's it.

I never throw anything out. Might explain the lack of room here. Yeah, I still have them, buried it the back of one closet or another, along with a host of other goodies that I haven't seen in ages.

Most of them took place on other planets. Most of them were fairly short, running about 15 pages or so in length, although the bext of the lot was closer to 70.

It might interest you to know that the stories were loosely based on Doctor Who. Hell of a good show.

Um... (thinks for a moment) Ah, this is in reference to my recent post in the "What Ticks You Off?" thread, right?

It depends on the subject. Finance is one of those things that gives me a case of the heebie-jeebies so I tend to avoid it. I've been paying attention (more or less) to the insanity going on in the financial markets recently but I don't even pretend to understand much of it. Looks to me like a sad combination of greed and short-sighted stupidity is at the root of the mess.
