Well I suppose it depends on how much you want to spend and how much you'll gain from it. I mean times are tough and it might seem a bit.. er...extravagant to spend lots on a non-essential item when fuel and food are more expensive, even if it's your money.
However it might be a very shrewd investment and they're actually very wrong. I 'm not really qualified to tell.
Well as long as you care about them a bit that's the main thing. Eventually they'll start having misfortune themselves then you find out how much you do care about the silly old fools
