Perhaps it's not tasteful to say so but there would be a certain poetic justice in humans being doomed by animals they've reared in huge numbers to kill and consume. I thought that when bird-flu was about and that came to little. It's still too early to tell whether this is the human pandemic that's due (last was in 68) but the only positive thing to do in defence of it is to be as healthy as you can be, which is good advice generally, anyway.
Nice tickertocker. Sorry about the swineflu thing. It's loose in Ukogbani now apparently but it seems no-one outside of Mexico has died yet which may be significant. Certainly hard on those poor Mexicans of course. Interesting that we only use the word 'swine' in this context. Why not 'Pig-Flu' I wonder?
