Well people who come from the north of england traditionally think they're tougher than people in the south presumably because it's a little bit colder. As a southerner living in the north, this has always amused me greatly. I suppose the north/south split in the US means something very different, that involves the Mason-Dixon line.

Oh that's toasty warm! I'd be wearing shorts and putting on suntan lotion if it was as high as 6 here.
Then it is 10 oclock at night so I might look a little silly.
